Blaine skips football practice and drives home alone that day thinking of how terrible his day went and what he's going to do about that guy finding out about him. Wasn't he there on the same team against the Warblers at sectionals when I was there? Blaine can't remember and frankly he does not care.
He parks his car in the driveway and gets out, unlocking the door of his home to see that no one's there so really it's not a home, because a home is just a house if family isn't in it, right?
He goes upstairs to the room he once shared with his brother, putting his backpack down on the desk. He plops himself down on his bunk and peels off his shirt, leaving it on the floor. That's it; then he just lays there and sings a song for a while, all of the passion and emotions from throughout the day spilling into the song like he normally does when he's alone. It's sort of routine because he's almost always alone.
He wonders what that guy thinks of him now. He's probably told the whole school. Blaine grits his teeth. He's going to have to transfer again! But what's his excuse for his parents this time?
I'm sure you know, but I'm not here to make you feel bad about yourself.
