So the first time the two boys meet is unpleasant and confusing for one or the other.

Kurt is walking down the hall with Mr Schue between classes. Among all the chaos going on around them- Coach Sylvester yelling into her megaphone, someone getting shoved into the wall, the smacking sounds of a couple making out, and the slamming shut of locker after locker- Kurt is able to hear someone humming. Mr Schue hears it too and they stop. Kurt's gaze falls on the source of the singing; Blaine Anderson.

"After all you've put me through, you'd think I'd despise you. But in the end, I wanna thank you, 'cause you made me that much stronger."

Kurt's eyes widen at Blaine's suddenly intimidating aura. He stares at him, wondering how such a powerful voice can come from someone so small and angry looking. Blaine sighs a little and when he looks up and sees Kurt looking at him he freezes, not knowing what to do. He stops singing. Then he turns quickly and disappears into the crowd of students.

"Wow," Mr Schue says. "Did you hear him?"

"Yeah, I- I'm gonna go... follow... um, I'll see you in glee club later!" Kurt says and he's already out of breath as he runs after him.

Kurt then finds Blaine in the empty boys' bathroom bleeding over the sink with cuts down his wrists and arms and he doesn't know what to do, just stands there by the door with his mouth opening and closing but no sound coming out much like a fish, and just as Blaine looks up he's out the door before you can say screwed.
