Blaine was sitting in his room, looking outside at the beautiful rainbow that was left outside from the raging thunderstorm. He stared at it for a moment but something else caught his eye. It was a boy about his age, playing around in the yard between his house and the neighbor’s. Blaine looked at the kid playing around and decided to join him. He could use a friend, Blaine though and besides, it would be nice not being cooped up in the house all day. He grabbed his raincoat and hastily put on his rain boots. “I’ll be outside, Mom!” Blaine called out as he ran to where the boy was. Once he was there, the other boy looked at him, silently. They both sized each other up and then the stranger grabbed Blaine’s wrist and tugged him towards him. “Let’s go find the pot of gold on the other side of the rainbow.” The boy called. Blaine laughed and ran with him. Both boys were on a quest for whatever lay at the end of the rainbow.
