"Where are you going, Lady Hummel?" Santana said as she walked in to see Kurt do his hair with careful precision.
Kurt rolled his eyes at the Latina and said, "I have a dinner date with Adam." Santana noticed how Kurt's smile faded a bit but came back with full force. "We're going to see Rent afterwards." The corners of his mouth tilted downward and Santana could obviously tell something was up.
As she watched Kurt walk away, she muttered to herself, "Hummel, something is up and I will get to the bottom of it." Santana sat in the living room, watching Kurt as he prepared for his date. She noticed that he wasn't as excited as he pretended to be. And that sometimes he would stare at his cellphone and sigh. Then when Kurt noticed that he was tying a bow tie and ripped it off him was when Santana knew. She smiled at him and walked off to her room. "Lady Hummel, Hobbit is on his way to save you." She pulled out her cellphone and started typing.
Blaine was in his room, trying to make sense of his Calculus homework when his cellphone pinged. He eagerly grabbed it, hoping it would be Kurt. Kurt hadn't texted all day. His smile faded when he saw it was from Santana. But his heart stopped when he saw what was on it. He booked a plane ticket to New York immediately. He ran out of the door, sending Santana a text.
To Santana:
I'm on my way.
Santana smirked as she saw the text. She loved messing with her friends. Especially when they needed her to. She looked out her bedroom "door", which was really a curtain, to see Kurt walk out the door with Sir Walter Raleigh or whatever the hell his name was. She did the math in her head and realized that little Blainers will come just in time to save Kurt from the end of the date.
Blaine boarded the plane, fingers tapping nervously. He re-read Santana's text, feeling his stomach crawl up his throat every time. Since his parents were out of town for the week, he didn't really need to tell anybody where he was going. As the plane's motors finally started up, he hoped that Kurt would be alright.
