Author's Notes:

“Blaine, you're watching Emily tonight, right?”

Blaine, who was currently fixing his hair, frowned at the question from where he was standing at the mirror in his room. “But Mom, I have a date with Kurt! We're going to his house for dinner and then we're seeing a movie!”

Gabrielle Anderson peeked into his room and shook her head. “Blaine, you need to take care of your sister. I know you enjoy being with Kurt, but your sister comes first,” she said, making her words final. She walked up to him and brushed off his shoulders with a smile. “You look handsome though. Kurt is one lucky man.” Blaine smiled proudly at her words.

“Thanks Mom,” he said softly, then sighed again. “But I can't cancel on Kurt... He's been looking forward to this all week and so have I,” he pouted.

“I know, sweetie,” she said and kissed his cheek softly before lowering her voice. “But why don't you bring Kurt over here and babysit Emily with him? It could be a nice little date, plus your dad won't be home either.”

Blaine considered the option for a moment before nodding. “Okay, I suppose that could be fun,” he smiled softly. “Have fun tonight, Mom.”

“I will, honey,” she said and kissed his cheek one more time before leaning in next to his ear and whispering. “We won't be home until way late, so... Condoms are in my drawer if you need them,” she grinned and then disappeared out the door.

Blaine blushed heavily when his mother basically told him that he and Kurt could have sex, but he also knew that it was most likely going to happen. They were two hormonal teenage boys. Come on, it wasn't really their fault.

“Thanks Mom!” he called out after her and then finished his hair quickly before looking at himself in the mirror. He was wearing a yellow t-shirt along with blue shorts that went to his knees. His feet were bare, just like he always walked around during summer. His hair was now gelled, but not quite as much as it was during the school year. It was casual and Blaine felt casual. He dropped down onto his bed with a dopey smile on his face before picking up his phone from his pocket and dialling Kurt's number with practised fingers.

Five hours later, they had managed to play outside with Emily, cook dinner together, do the dishes and watch half of Tangled before the five year old had fallen asleep peacefully and they could put her to bed with ease. Kurt was watching Blaine fondly from the doorway as he sang her a lullaby. When he was finished, he kissed Emily's forehead and tucked her in before stepping out of the room with Kurt and closing the door quietly.

“Well, that was easy enough,” Kurt chuckled softly and grinned at Blaine.

“Yeah, she's an angel,” he smiled and moved to wrap his arms around Kurt's waist. “Hi, by the way. I'm sorry about the date today... I know it got a little bit crazy with having to watch Emily and all.”

Kurt shook his head and leaned in to kiss him on the lips. “It's fine,” he murmured. “And I also noticed today that you're really good with kids... You'll be a great dad someday.”

Blaine bit his own lip and his cheeks turned pink when he heard Kurt's praise. “You really think so..?” he asked in a small whisper.

“Yes,” Kurt said, very sure of himself. “And I have this crazy dream of mine... That maybe, maybe I'll be lucky enough to be the second father of your kids.

“Aww,” Blaine smiled and backed Kurt up into the wall, leaning in closer to his face. “That's not a dream, babe. That's a fact.” Their lips met in a kiss less than a second later and as said so perfectly in Mamma Mia; “Dot, dot, dot...”

Gabrielle felt both pleased and a little bit rebellious when she saw that someone had taken a condom from her drawer. She knew she'd never be able to stop them from doing whatever they wanted to do. Making sure that they were safe was really the least she could do as a mother.
