Kurt had been in New York for a total of six months and 17 days. Settling in to the big city had been hard but with the flatmate he'd been allocated, well there had never been a dull moment.  "Did you order an Elvis-gram for my birthday you ingenious bastard, I loved the King." Kurt turned from the kitchenette where he was making their dinner and faced his roommate. "What the hell are you harping on about Lish?" She turned dramatically from the window she'd been gazing out of, "I swear to god there is an Elvis impersonator standing outside our building singing his heart out." Kurt scoffed and continued mixing the stir-fry. "No I didn't, plus your birthday was last week and you already fawned over the Kate Spade bag I got you." He paused turing back to his crazy texan friend. "Anyway I thought Marcel told you to stop hassling pedestrians." Alicia gave him her best bitch glare. Marcel their landlord was Italian and incredibly opinionated, something that didn't really mesh well with Lish's outspoken tendencies. "I remember, it was fabulous. But I'm not hassling him. I'm telling you that there is an incredibly cute Elvis impersonator singing on our stoop and if you don't get your sassy gay butt over here I will start yelling at him out the window. Then you can explain the situation to Marcel when the cutie lodges a complaint." Kurt rolled his eyes and made his way over to the window. "See I told you, incredibly attractive Elvis impersonator." It took a moment to for Kurt to register what he has seeing. On their stoop stood a young man slightly shorter than Kurt dressed in a hideous replica of The King's white bejewelled jumpsuit, cape and all. What he then realised was that this singing impersonator also happened to be his boyfriend.

It was quarter to eight on a clear Friday night and the strumming melody of Love Me Tender drifted through New York City.
