He turned slowly to look at the beautiful boy lying next to him in the empty field. It was a mild night, and everything around them was still. It almost felt like calm before a storm though, as they could both see the dark clouds rolling over the horizon. Neither of the boys cared. The were comfortable in each others warmth, and this was the last night they had together before school started again on Monday. Blaine would be at Dalton, staying in the dorms, and Kurt would be at McKinley in Lima. They would be apart. after a summer realising their love for each other and being together, they would be separate. They didn't like to speak about it because it hurt too much. Blaine head was on Kurts chest and his fingers were threaded through his curly hair.
It started to rain. Both boys sat up and blaine slowly wrapped the blanket they had been sitting on around their shoulders. A slow rip of thunder sounded and Kurt burrows his head into the crook of Blaine's neck.
"Shhh baby, I'm here" Blaine whispered into Kurts hair. Kurt inhaled his boyfriends familiar scent and sighed happily.
"I... I can't believe you have to go back to Dalton..." Kurt whispered, the words sticking in his throat.
"Kurt, I... I'll see you whenever I can. I'll call you. I'll come and visit... I know it's not the same, but we'll have to try..."
"I know I just... I love you" Kurt muttered
"I love you to Kurt. You have made this the best summer of my life. Your the mist amazing person I've ever met"
The rain was falling heavier now and Kurts hair was plastered to his head. The water was dripping from Blaine's curly hair. They stood up, the blanket still wrapped around them. Blaine's lips pressed lightly against Kurts and the two boys melted together. The rain was pouring down above them, and lightening flashed through the sky, but they were content. they had each other, and nothing was going to change that.
