Blaine was woke up by his phone alarm, as soon as he sat up he felt a shock of pain in his lower back. He hoped to God that the furniture got here today. After he overcame the pain he stood up and walked to the bathroom to shower. Once he stepped out of the shower he went to his room to get dressed, he pulled on black jeans, a navy blue sweater, and dark beige oxfords.
He picked up his messenger bag with all of his school supplies and an apple then was out the door. As soon he looked over he saw Isabelle leaned against a cherry red jeep.
"Of course you car is red." He joked
"You know it." Isabelle smirked and walked over to the driver's side.
"So Blaine how do you take you excited for you first day of school?" She asked in a mock baby voice.
"Yeah I guess." He chuckled.
"Good but in case your nervous we're going to stop for coffee and then off to McKinley."
"Hi how can I help you today?" The barista behind the counter asked Isabelle
"I'll have a large black coffee and a…."
"Medium drip." Blaine spoke up behind her.
Blaine tried to take a bill from his wallet but Isabelle slapped his hand.
"No, this is my welcome to Ohio treat for you." She sassed.
Isabelle paid the barista and grabbed their drinks; as soon as Blaine turned around to go back to the car he got a face full of Kurt Hummel.
"Might want to watch where you're going." He said with a considerable amount of sass.
Blaine was speechless within five seconds he memorized Kurt's face. Soft pink lips, gorgeous bone structure and stunning eyes. Blaine practically ran away with Isabella following him. Once he stood at the car he realized what a fool he just made of himself just gawking at Kurt and running away.
"Blaine are you okay?" Isabella's voice broke through his deep thought.
"Y-yeah."
"I was going to introduce you to Kurt but then you just sprinted away."
"Sorry I guess I'm just a little nervous around new people." Isabelle eyed him curiously
"Mhmm, well get in we have to get to school and I need to see what classes you have with me."
Blaine quietly sipped his coffee on the way to school all he could think about is how stupid Kurt must think he is. Isabelle parked the car a looked at Blaine,
"You gonna be okay?"
"Yeah ." Blaine sighed
"Okay let's go."
"Okay so you have Algebra second period and Biology fifth period with me and also lunch. Not that bad." Isabelle read Blaine's schedule as he organized his locker. She looked down at her phone real quickly.
"So you and I have fifteen minutes until first period how would you like to meet some people?" She asked while shutting Blaine's locker.
"Sure the more people I get along with now the better."
"Follow me dear sir." Isabelle grabbed Blaine's wrist and started tugging him down the hallway. They both came to a halt when Isabelle saw two big guys in letterman Jackets.
"Blaine never mind we'll go the long way." She zipped around the corner with Blaine in hand.
"Who were those guys?" Blaine asked while he tried to keep up with Isabelle.
"I'll explain later I promise just avoid them at all cost." She muttered quickly finally they stopped at a classroom. Isabelle peeked in,
"Hey Mr. Shue I got the newbie with me think I can introduce him to everyone?" Blaine couldn't see who she was talking to but he heard a muffled "yeah" as he was being pulled inside the room. Blaine analyzed the room quickly, there was a piano, a guy that must have been a teacher with a but chin, and multiple bored looking teenager sitting around.
"Sooo Blaine meet some of the members of The New Directions, Mercedes.."
"What up new boy." A dark skinned girl spoke up from the corner.
"Artie.."
"Hi." A boy in a wheelchair whispered and waved.
"Puck…"
"Sup." Big jock smirked at him.
"And Sam."
"Hey." A tall blonde piped up from where he sat.
"Guys this is Blaine, he starting classes today figured I'd try and make him some friends before classes."
"I'm sorry what did I miss I was busy practicing for my headshots in the mirror." A short brunette walked through the door tossing her long hair over her shoulder.
"Oh Blaine meet the magnificent Rachel Berry." Isabelle said flat with sarcasm.
"You must be the new student everyone is talking about; I'm Rachel Berry leader and star of the New Directions." She stretched out her hand in Blaine's direction.
"Uhm Hi I'm Blaine Anderson." Blaine steadily shook her hand.
"Blaine tell us, do you sing?" she took a step closer to Blaine.
"Rachel would you at least wait until lunch to try and recruit him?" Isabelle spoke up between them.
"Isabelle I'm just being friendly."
"Yeah right." Mercedes scoffed.
"Well before me and Blaine go Sam and Artie you have World history with Blaine make sure Karofsky doesn't bug him." Isabelle pointed at the blond and brunette, once they nodded Isabelle was pulling Blaine along once again.
First period was boring the teacher would shut up and there was some kid with a fro and glasses asking Blaine if he ever killed anyone or if he had any information about Rachel Berry's underwear. Blaine was glad that his next class was with Isabelle at least he would know someone in the classroom. When he walked out of first period he shocked when he saw Isabelle talking to Kurt Hummel by his locker. Blaine quickly ducked behind one of the walls and watched them talk until Kurt finally walked away. He slowly walked over to Isabelle trying to look as calm as possible.
"Hey." He chirped behind her and she quickly turned around.
"Oh hey ready for algebra?"
Blaine's mouth beat his brain and asked the dumbest question ever.
"What were you and Kurt talking about?" He wanted to crawl into a hole and die when the words came out of his mouth.
"Nothing he needs me to do his makeup for this part one of his cheerio friends is throwing this weekend. Why do you want to know?" Isabelle eyed Blaine slowly with suspicion.
"Oh I was just y'know curious." Blaine managed to spit out.
"Alright well we better get to class or Mrs. Cantonburry with be pissed."
Once they actually got into the class it started out boring and then Isabelle slid her notebook in front of him she wrote him a note.
I forgot to tell you I have glee club after school, mind waiting behind until I'm done?
He quickly replied
Sure I'll just study in the library or something.
He scooted the notebook back to her no more than a second later it was slid back.
You know if you can sing and you're up for it maybe you could audition….
Blaine thought for a second before responding.
Yeah I can sing a little, I'll audition but not today I don't have a song in my head at the moment.
Blaine watched a smile pull at the corners of Isabelle's lips as she read his reply.
Cool! Well how about you come to my house after school I can help you chose a song.
Sounds good to me.
The ending period bell rang so Blaine and Isabelle went their separate ways. Blaine moved on to his next class, he barley paid attention to the lesson he was too busy thinking about how Kurt looked in his cheerio uniform. Time seemed to fly, two classes passed and all he had on his mind were Kurt's slender legs. One second he was in a desk and the next Isabelle was pulling him into the cafeteria.
"What are we doing?" He asked stupidly.
"We're going to eat lunch, obviously." She giggled at him.
Blaine stayed by Isabelle side as they chose their food he looked around the cafeteria, social groups were just naturally separated. One table for the jocks, one table for the art geeks, a table for the cheerios, a table for A/V Club, and of course a table for Glee club. Blaine turned his attention back to the Cheerio table which was one table away from the Glee club, his eyes landed on Kurt. Kurt sat giggling as he chewed on a stick of celery, as if Kurt could feel Blaine gaze he looked up and blue eyes met green. They stared at each other for a moment before Kurt goes back to talking to the rest of his squad mates.
"Blaine c'mon we gotta get you associated with the rest of the New Directions." Isabelle tugged on his sleeve. They approached the table; Blaine already spotted some new faces Isabelle introduced two boys as Mike and Finn and one small girl named Tina. The minute Blaine sat down Rachel jumped him with questions.
"So Blaine can you sing? If you can would you like to audition for the New Directions? You can even audition today if you're prepared." Blaine was about to answer the chatterbox before Isabelle spoke up.
"Rachel he plans on auditioning soon he's coming over to my house today so I can help him pick a song now zip it." Isabelle spoke blandly as if Rachel needed to be hushed frequently.
"So Blaine where are you from?" Tina spoke up her arm was hooked around Mike's waist.
"Oh I'm from Florida, Port Charlotte, Florida."
"Cool man do you play any sports?" Finn's words muffled by a mouthful of pizza.
"Uhm no I'm more into the art's and stuff." Blaine replied shyly.
"It's all good dude." Finn said before chugging down his Gatorade.
Most of the lunch period was just the rest of the Glee club jumping topic to topic occasionally asking Blaine a question or his opinion. Blaine was finished before everyone so he picked up his tray and began to walk towards the large garbage bin between the tables. He was only a foot away before he head a deep chuckling voice behind him.
"Welcome to McKinley Shorty."
The next thing Blaine felt was a cold wave crashing over his head the sensations spread down his neck and under his sweater, his eyes began to sting. Blaine dropped his tray due to the sudden pain and started rubbing his eyes furiously, he felt Isabelle run to his side.
"Shit…Blaine I'm so sorry come with me I'll flush out your eyes." Isabelle started to guide him out of the cafeteria he only got one last look around the cafeteria and he saw Kurt, laughing at him.
"Can you please explain to me what the hell just happened?" Blaine was irritated.
"The jocks, I'm so sorry I forgot to explain to you ugh. They hate the glee club so they find any possible way to torture us as much as possible." She sighed as she pushed Blaine's head under the faucet or the girls restroom and started washing the icy remains and food coloring away.
"I'm so embarrassed first day of school and I'm de-humanized in front of everyone." Even Kurt…
"Oh god your sweater is cashmere? Ugh take it off before it starts to smell of the coloring set in."
"But.." Blaine remembered that Isabelle wasn't interested in boys so he removed his sweater and tossed it into the garbage.
"So what do you expect for me to wear now?" He asked as he shook the water off his hair in the sink.
"You are so lucky I buy all of my hoodies and jackets from the men's section." Isabelle sighed as she handed him a gray hoodie with gold stripes across the chest.
"Uhm how is this from the men's section?" he questioned.
"You have three options, One. Walk around school topless, Two. Borrow Finn's sweaty gym shirt, or Three. Wear the damn hoodie." She quirked her eyebrow and crossed her arms over her chest. Blaine sighed and tugged the hoodie on, a midst zipping up they both heard the door open. In walked in Kurt Hummel, who looked at Blaine confused and then ran his gaze down his half exposed abdomen.
"Izzy what are you doing in here with…tumbles?" Blaine looked at Kurt with confusion. Did he just give me a nick name?
"Don't play dumb Hummel, you witnessed what just happened in the cafeteria, thanks to your gang of gorillas." Isabelle stepped in front of Blaine and spoke sassily to Kurt.
"Don't act like you don't know how things work around here, I can't control them." Kurt put on a false sweet tone.
"Okay that's a total lie but whatever." Isabelle rolled her eyes.
"Hairspray." Kurt snapped and Isabelle huffed and handed him a small can. Kurt grabbed it and walked up to the mirror, Blaine watched in total awe as Kurt perfected and sprayed his hair.
"Keep the spray Kurt, I have to show Blaine where his next class is. Oh wait I have to properly introduce you two. Kurt this is Blaine Anderson he just started today. Blaine this is Kurt Hummel head bitch of McKinley."
Once again Blaine froze, should he shake his hand? Should he say "Nice to meet you."?
"Pleasure." Kurt said not even bothering to look at Blaine, he walked out the door with hairspray in hand.
"I don't think I've told you enough times that he's a bitch." Isabelle sighed.
"Yeah you kinda keep saying that."
"Not my fault it's true." Isabelle shrugged.
Blaine didn't see Kurt for the rest of the school day so when he finally left the school he felt he could breath. Yes Kurt was well he was a total ass but still for some reason Blaine couldn't get him off his mind. So it was official, Blaine Anderson was in a head over heels crush for Kurt Hummel.
"So you're better off going with super modern or super classic, which one do you prefer?" Isabelle asked when they finally pulled into her driveway. Blaine totally forgot he was in the car with her; he shook out if his thoughts to respond.
"Either one would be cool I have my iPod with me so maybe you can just look through it? See if there is any audition worthy songs?" Blaine asked as he reached into his bag to get the music player.
"Yeah c'mon in the house we go." She said as she got out the car and jogged up the stairs, Blaine followed. They both walked in to see Isabelle's sister watching cartoons with her backpack next to her, Blaine waved hello and went up the stairs with Isabelle.
"Alright iPod please?" Isabelle held her palm out and Blaine handed her the device.
Blaine watched as she scrolled through his many albums she made the occasional "Mhmm" and "huh" noise.
"Well, Blaine sings something so I can match something to go with your voice." Blaine immediately pulled a song basically out of his ass.
Why is everybody so serious?
Acting so damn mysterious?
Got your shades on your eyes
And your heels so high
That you can't even have a good time
Everybody look to their left (yeah)
Everybody look to their right (uh)
Can you feel that (yeah)
We're paying with love tonight
It's not about the money, money, money
We don't need your money, money, money
We just wanna make the world dance,
Forget about the price tag
Ain't about the (uh) Cha-Ching Cha-Ching
Ain't about the (yeah) Ba-Bling Ba-Bling
Wanna make the world dance,
Forget about the price tag.
"Holy hell! Blaine what do you mean you can sing "a little bit"? You have a great voice even better than Finn's !" Isabelle gushed.
"Uhm thanks but what song do you think I should do for the audition?"
"It may not be in your taste but I have the perfect song, your just gonna have to trust me." Isabelle smirked at Blaine coyly. She stood up and went to her rack of CD's and slid out Led Zeppelin's Greatest Hits.
"Oh no. N-no." Blaine shook his head furiously.
"Oh yes." Isabelle smirked.
