The lust for power is not rooted in strength but in weakness. - Erich Fromme

Blaine was bored and that was never a good thing for anyone that crossed his path. Today it was some guy who had lost everyone he loved and was struggling to make it on his own. Blaine grinned. This will be easy, he told himself. He met the guy in a bar, trying to drink his boredom away and on the look-out for some innocent victim, who he could kill, torture or steal his soul, whichever was more fun.
“You look lost.”, he said, turning to the guy, crooking his head to the side.
The guy laughed.
“You don't say. Well, I guess I am.”
“Hm, maybe I can help you find what you're looking for.” A smirk appeared on Blaine's face.
“Oh yeah? And who are you to think you could help me?”
The smirk turned into a grin and Blaine blinked. When his eyelids lifted, his eyes were pitch black. The guy jumped up and stumbled back.
“Oh my God, what are you?”
“Try again.”, Blaine said, twitching his eyebrows and taking a sip from his glass. The guy kept staring at him in tremor. Blaine sighed, rolling his eyes and got up.
“Let's just say, I can help you.”
The guy though kept backing away and Blaine got annoyed. In a matter of seconds his hand was on the guy's throat, pushing him up a wall.
“Listen, I wanted to be nice, but obviously you don't appreciate it, so I'd rather kill you.”
Blaine showed his teeth in a wide grin, enjoying the fear in the guy's eyes. It would be a shame seeing that fade after he killed him. Maybe he should torture him first. He was still contemplating when a voice behind him said: “Put him down, Blaine, or I'll send your ass right back to hell.”
For a second Blaine lost his smug expression at the sound of the familiar voice and the threat that came with it. He slowly turned, putting a not-so-convincing smirk back on his face.
“Ah, Kurt, I see you're back in the job. Have you actually been forgiven?”
“I'm not gonna say it again, Blaine, put him down.”, the calmness in Kurt's voice was more frightening than if he had yelled at him. Blaine sighed and let go of the guy. He fell to the floor and just kept staring at the pair.
“So, what is so important about this guy that they send YOU to keep me from killing him?”, Blaine asked, walking towards Kurt, who didn't move an inch. He just narrowed his eyes, smiling a little.
“That is really none of your business, let's just leave it at: He's important!”
Then Kurt was gone.
Blaine frowned.
“You're gonna be alright, I will make you forget this happened. You just need to keep painting, can you promise me that?”
Blaine spun around to find Kurt kneeling beside the guy, talking to him softly. He had to admit, for a moment he wished it was him that Kurt was whispering to. He shook his head to get rid of that thought. The guy nodded and Kurt smiled. What a smile! Blaine took a step back, not sure what his thoughts were doing. Next thing he knew, Kurt and the guy were gone. Confused Blaine blinked. How did he just let this happen?
“Now back to you!”, came Kurt's voice, from way too close behind him.
It took all of Blaine's strength not to flinch away. It would make Kurt think he was weak, scared even, and that was definitely not the case. He turned around with raised eyebrows. Kurt stood about a foot away from him, looking at him curiously, chewing on his lower lip.
“What? I didn't kill him, so you can leave me alone now!”, demanded Blaine furious.
Kurt stepped closer, leaving only the smallest of room between them. Their natural instincts should have made them both flinch back, but they didn't. Kurt brought his face so close to Blaine's that their noses almost touched. He looked into Blaine's black eyes, trying to find more than darkness.
“What is it about you?”, he mumbled, talking more to himself, than to Blaine, “You're not afraid of me, but you're something else, I just don't know what.”
Kurt's breath on his skin made Blaine gulp and clench his teeth. He had as much of an idea what was going on as Kurt, but he liked the tingling under his skin.
“Believe me, I don't give a crap about you! Go clean your halo, you big bird.”
They kept staring furiously at each other for a long moment, then with a flap of his wings Kurt was gone. Blaine blinked, not sure what had just happened.
The next days Blaine spent extra bloody, trying to keep his mind of things, but that stupid angel came back to his thoughts at the worst of times. So he decided to find out what it was about Kurt.
It was way to easy to find out where that guy, he almost killed, lived. Apparently his name was Steve, what an boring, ordinary name.
Blaine appeared in the middle of Steve's apartment late at night. It was quiet, too quiet. He went over to the bedroom and found it empty, as well as the rest of the apartment. In the living room he found a few painted canvas. Remembering what Kurt had asked Steve, he took a closer look. The first picture was just a lot of colours, no obvious pattern, the second one was of a burning tree and wings in the sky...at the sight of the last one Blaine backed away.
“Interesting, aren't they? Even someone like you is shocked at their sight.”, Kurt's voice came from behind him.
Blaine shook his head, not turning around.
“What does it mean?”, he asked and for the first time in his existence there was fear in his voice.
“I would say change, but don't hold me on that.”, Kurt answered as calmly as he had been that day in the bar, while walking slowly to stand beside Blaine.
“I just don't know yet if it's good or bad change.”
Blaine looked at him now. Kurt wasn't looking at the pictures, he was watching Blaine's reaction.
“Why are you here?”, he asked, not loosing his calm tone.
It started to annoy Blaine, Kurt acting like he couldn't give a fuck about anything.
“I don't like letting people get away.”, he snapped back.
“And I told you, this one is not yours to take.”
“Why would I listen to anything that an angel tells me.”
“Because that angel can send you faster back to hell than you can try to kill him.”
They had moved closer to each other without realizing it. Both pairs of eyes were narrowed.
“You are really starting to go on my nerves, Kurt, and I need to do something about that!”
“Give it your best shot, Blaine, but don't pout when you land in hell without even touching me.”
By this point you were able to see the electricity between them and it would have been incredibly dangerous for a human to be around that kind of energy.
Suddenly everything went fast, Blaine leaped for the kill, or so he thought and the next second he found himself leaning against the angels body, one hand in his hair, the other on his throat and sharing a passionate, heated kiss. Kurt, shocked at first, quickly got into it. He pressed his nails into the soft skin of Blaine's arms, not really attempting to pull them away. Blaine's hand on his throat wandered down his chest, while he bit Kurt's lower lip. His mouth then glided along the angel's jaw, to his earlobe and he started nibbling it.
“This...is...wrong, Blaine.”, Kurt spat out, breathless.
He felt Blaine's teeth against his throat, telling him that he was grinning that annoyingly smug grin.
“I like wrong!”, Blaine mumbled against Kurt's skin.
Kurt gulped, struggling with what he wanted and what he knew he should do. Finally his common sense got the better of him.

I like the storyline a LOT. I like their opposites attract-ness. If you could make sure to put spaces between paragraphs it would be a bit easier to read? Can't wait to see more, Darling!
