#1 on Kurt's List- Cuddle like crazy in a too small dorm room bed.

"You're back from rehearsal early-I swore it ended at 11," Blaine muttered as he walked into Kurt's NYU dorm room. Kurt had a single, the best he could get coming in in January. Regardless, he had made the room his own, and a year later, it was still cozy to say the least. Kurt's Broadway posters were elegantly laid out on his walls, and Christmas lights hung in loops around the perimeter of the room. The curtains were a deep shade of blue and matched perfectly with his comforter and throw rug lying parallel to his bed. It was his little piece of New York, a small space that Kurt had made entirely his own.

Blaine absolutely adored this room- it was so Kurt. Kurt had given Blaine the combination, as boyfriends naturally would, and Blaine loved going there when he knew Kurt was in class. He would lie on Kurt’s floor or cuddle into that gorgeous comforter and let his boyfriend’s scent comfort him while he did his mounds of homework. Blaine had applied to NYU around the same time Kurt had been accepted in January, and was accepted Early Decision into their music department. It was days when he would sit in Kurt’s room and listen to the sounds of New York from just outside his window that made him so happy to be alive. Alive, and dating the greatest person he had ever met.

“Yeah, they sent us home early because of the snow.” Kurt glanced outside the window to emphasize his point, where snow was falling thickly, blanketing the city in a layer of white. “I hope you kicked your shoes when you walked in the building. I’m gonna be really unhappy if I step in a puddle on my way out.” Kurt took his computer and placed it on his desk, leaning back into his pillows and scooting over a bit to make room for Blaine.

“Who says you’re going anywhere?” Blaine smiled, unable to stop his face from lighting up at the beautiful boy in front of him.

Without further warning, Blaine leaped up into Kurt’s bed. The beds at NYU were ridiculously high up, and a running start seemed to be the only way to get onto them. Blaine landed in a heap on top of his boyfriend, who shrieked and started flailing. “Blaine!” Kurt yelled, feigning seriousness when all he wanted to do was giggle himself.

This was the Blaine that Kurt was so in love with. A man who could just enter a room, jump into Kurt’s lap, and make him feel so safe and secure that even the scariest monster couldn’t faze him. Blaine was such a rock for Kurt. Having him next to him on his bed, having this real man right there, and just for him, was something that Kurt literally had to stop every minute to pinch himself to make sure it was real.

“So now that I’ve climbed the mountain all the way onto your bed-“ Blaine started.

“…But actually…” Kurt couldn’t help but add with a grin.

“…Does that mean its cuddle time?” Blaine reached his arms out expectantly, titling his head just slightly.

Kurt smiled, and was quick to give Blaine a huge hug and pull him down into bed. The two curled up in Kurt’s many pillows, securing themselves in the comfort of the smooth comforter, but more importantly, each other.

Kurt had always dreamed of being held, of lying in a bed that was just a little too small for two people sleeping side by side, but absolutely perfect for a couple wrapped up in each other. Their feet tangled together ,and Kurt could never hold back a smile when Blaine ran his foot up his ankle.

Everything Blaine did made Kurt feel so at home. Every touch of his hips, every swipe of Kurt’s bangs out of his eyes, every kiss on his forehead. Blaine clung to Kurt like there was no place on earth he would rather be.

“Hey Blaine?” Kurt wondered aloud.

“Yeah, love?” Blaine answered, meeting Kurt’s eyes , their faces inches from each other.

Kurt gazed into Blaine’s hazel eyes, so deep and full of security and love. Closing the distance between them in a quick but meaningful kiss, Kurt finished, “Nothing. I’m just really happy you’re here right now.”

“I’ll always be here, Kurt. Forever, if you’ll have me.”

“If we can cuddle like this forever, I’ll probably have to take you up on that offer.” Blaine nuzzled his nose into Kurt’s chest as if to emphasize the point.

“How on earth did I go 17 years without cuddling before I met you? This is literally one of the happiest things…like…ever.” In his bliss, Blaine seemed at a loss for words.

“I know exactly what you mean.” Kurt smiled, and mentally ticked the item off his list. This was one little thing he knew he would treasure forever.

Kurt tightened his grip around his boyfriend, and sighed contentedly. What a beautiful, snowy, December day it was to spend time holding the man you love.
