I laid my new, black, designer coat over the back of my designated chair, settling down into the sleek, leather seating which, complemented the decor of the room in more ways than one; while others like it surrounded the large eloquent table in the centre of the room. I rested my hands over my knees delicately as I waited patiently for the rest of the rabble to accumulate so we could begin.
Miss Jones, to you and the others, to me Mercedes, stepped into the room last he heels clicking sharply against the hard wood flooring which, only added to the business like feel in the room. She settled in her seat, her gaze sweeping the inhabitants of the meeting before she gestured wordlessly to Artie who wheeled himself to the screen and cleared his throat,
“As you all know, we have been tracking a group of young rebels for a number of weeks now after Agent Brittany managed to place the tracker with one of the targets. Thanks to her work we have been able to locate the group and get hold of what appears to be plans...” he was cut off by Miss Jones, who stood up saying,
“Sorry Artie but it appears we have a request. I have just been notified about a scandal in time square. Artie if you could switch the screen over?” The boy in the wheelchair didn’t hesitate for a moment before rolling back to the laptop and fiddling with the buttons and subsequently switching the screen to reveal the high definition image of Time Square in its current state. We all observed the screen, my gaze flickered over the highly amusing scene, immediately drawn to the huge animated board which now read,
‘Security should really be tighter these days. People you should trust nobody, Satan is coming to get you’. I smirked a little at the childish message. Everyone else appeared to have now noticed the message and they were scowling furiously.
My gaze suddenly came across a mop of bleach blonde hair. I instantly jumped up, no hesitation, and said to Artie,
“Can you focus in on that person and zoom in a little?” I pointed to the fuzz of blonde hair and he nodded while I took in everyone’s confused expressions, before chuckling quietly to myself. As Artie zoomed in, the owner of the horrifically coloured mop of hair turned round and I smirked saying to Artie,
“You would think that they would have waited a little longer before admiring their handiwork, wouldn’t you?” Miss Jones looked confused still,
“What are you talking about? As much as I admire your coded conversation, would you care to enlighten us all?” I smirked a little and gestured to the boy,
“This little one here, his name is Jeffery, he is 17 and is subsequently one of the members of the gang in question. Thanks to him our mission of infiltration mat be much easier. I think you will find that Jeffery here may be able to help us with the question over the culprits of the little prank here. He is only making it easier for us.” Miss Jones immediately smiled and said,
“Well, why don’t you head down and talk to the little tyke then, I am sure you will be able to wheedle some information from him, you always do?” I just nodded and caught the small headset that Artie threw to me.
I grabbed my coat and scarf, clipping the ear piece in place and then calling back,
“Keep an eye out?” they all called back their reassurances and encouragements, to which I only rolled my eyes.
I should probably introduce myself. My name is Kurt Hummel, I belong to a small group of, well I suppose you could call us spies. We are a private organisation although the government had utilised our services many a time, but obviously at a price. We are not however what you would expect, we are all still in high school so, by day we all go to lessons and act like normal kids. In fact my school life and my private life could not be more different, even if it does come to my advantages. At school, I get slushied and shoved around by the most obnoxiously, ignorant Neanderthals the world has ever known. My private life is of a different taste however; secretive meetings and executing meticulously, mapped out plans. The people I work with? My friends by day, my family by night. It may sound very unrealistic but I want to reassure you that although to the world I may just be the fragile, queer boy who is beaten around, I am really nothing of the sort.
Let me clarify for you. We do not kill, but I could ensure that you don’t walk for weeks, with a few small manoeuvres. So in short, do not get on my bad side.
Back to business, Jeffery you better watch out because being who I am I always get to the bottom of things, and I always get my way when it comes to criminals, even the childish kind who think that hacking into Time Square is badass or whatever. Oh boys and girls, if you think that is clever you have another thing coming...
