Kurt woke up the next morning to a quiet house. He got out of bed slowly and walked to the kitchen. There was no sign of Blaine and Kurt started to feel uneasy. Where did Blaine go? Although he wanted to go out and find him, or stay and wait for him to come home, Kurt had class in an hour and had to get ready.

He did his normal routine, showering, moisturizing, doing his hair and picking out the perfect outfit before heading to classes. Tuesday's were always his busiest day's so he usually didn't get home until well after five.

Throughout the entire day Kurt tried to get in contact with Blaine. He sent text messages, but they went unanswered. He called, but was sent straight to voicemail. He even stopped by the coffee shop they both loved, but still nothing.

Kurt was really worried until he entered the small apartment and the smell of chicken parmesan hit him in the face. He smiled as he imagined Blaine cooking on the kitchen. That was one of his many talents.

Kurt took off his shoes and started toward the kitchen. When he got closer he could hear Blaine singing along to the music playing on the radio. Kurt lent against the door frame watching Blaine.

He seemed happy. Like nothing happened last night, like it was a normal Tuesday for the household.

Kurt was smiling and staring when Blaine turned around.

"Hi." Blaine said softly.

Kurt was surprised he was talking to him after last night. "Hey. It smells amazing." He said motioning to the food cooking on the stove top.

Blaine smiled. "Thanks, I remembered it is one of your favorites."

"It is."

Blaine turned back to cooking, leaving Kurt to wonder why the heck Blaine was cooking one of his favorite meals.

They sat opposite each other, eating silently. Kurt really wanted to say something and was happily surprised when it was Blaine who spoke up.

"Look, about last night..." But he was cut off by Kurt.

"Blaine I am so sorry. Oh my god I'm such an idiot I'm sorry. I can't tell you enough. I had no idea he would do that. And really I didn't want him too, it was just a kiss it meant nothing to me."

"Kurt..."

"And I also know I should have told you before about our previous relationship but you were so happy and that's all I really want for you because you are one of my best friends. I hope you will one day be able to trust me again. I'm so sorry Blaine." Kurt knew he was rambling but he wanted to get everything out before Blaine could say anything.

"Kurt..."

"I will also understand if you never want to talk to me again and or move out because of what I did." Kurt hung his head.

"Kurt seriously look at me." He heard Blaine say. Kurt lifted his head to see him smiling. "I'm not going to move out or stop talking to you."

"Really?"

"Yes really. Why would I do that? Then I wouldn't be living with my best friend either."

"I'm still your best friend?" Kurt asked.

"Duh. Kurt I forgave you the moment after it happened. I was just angry with Shane and the situation. But you never lost my trust; I just say stupid shit in those kinds of fights." 

"So you still trust me?"

"Yep."

Kurt smiled and took a bite from his plate.

"What's on your schedule for tomorrow?" Blaine asked later that night.

"Uhm, nothing. I don't have any classes tomorrow. Why?"

"We are going on a field trip." Blaine stated simply.

"What?"

"Just be ready to go by ten!" Blaine called from down the hall.

"Fine!" Kurt called back, knowing Blaine well enough that he wouldn't have gotten any answers of tomorrows plans.

Kurt sat in the passenger seat as Blaine drove toward downtown Chicago. He honestly wondered where they were going. Blaine still hadn't told him anything.

Blaine pulled into a parking garage and then killed the engine. He turned to face Kurt.

"Welcome to Kurt and Blaine bonding day."

Kurt cocked an eyebrow and gave Blaine a confused look. "What day?"

"Kurt and Blaine bonding day. We haven't really been able to hang out because I started dating Shane right when I moved in. This is just for us to hang out and talk." Blaine said. He smiled at Kurt then got out of the car. Kurt followed and soon they were walking together.

The first stop was Millennium Park. Kurt hadn't been there since he moved four years ago. They walked around the Pavilion and smelt all the flowers, taking in the quiet atmosphere.

Then they headed over to the bean. They both touched it and got pictures with it and then they were gone. Moving on to the next adventure.

Blaine led them from the park and ended up on Michigan Avenue. Kurt looked over to Blaine and smiled. Michigan Avenue had the Magnificent Mile which had some of the best shopping stores.

"Food first, then shopping." Blaine whispered into Kurt's ear, then grabbed his hand and led him into a large building. It was beautiful inside; it had tall ceilings, and old architecture. It was decorated with dark woods and cream colored fabrics. The smells wafting from the kitchen made Kurt's stomach rumble.

They were shown to their table which was next to a large window looking over Michigan Avenue. You could see all the taller buildings and tree's lining the street.

Kurt looked down at his menu which read Grand Lux Cafe. He had heard about this place, it was supposed to be amazing.

"I'm paying so get whatever you want." Blaine said from behind his menu.

"You are not!"

"I am, this was my idea, so I pay. Now no more talking, look at your menu."

Kurt stuck his tongue out at Blaine then looked down at his menu once again. They ordered and sat there in silence till their food came.

"This is fun." Blaine said with a mouth full of Burger.

"It really is. It reminds me of before we used to date."

"Yea! Remember when we went to the water park and you would not go down that slide. I had to go with you or you wouldn't move."

"Hey it was tall!! And for your information, we were dating then."

"No we weren't." Blaine shot back.

"Yes we were. It was right before I moved; it was like a last hurrah."

Blaine frowned. "Oh."

"I'm sorry." Kurt said softly. They still hadn't talked about their broken relationship.

"No, it's okay."

"No it isn't. Blaine I want you to know that I loved you so much. But the thought of being away from you was killing me, so I made a decision."

"I thought we were going to make it work." He said, barely above a whisper.

"I wanted to. But I couldn't let you live with having to date me, in a different state."

"I would have waited."

"I know."

"I loved you so much."

"I loved you too."

Blaine took his hand and squeezed then went back to eating, but didn't let go of Kurt's hand.

Blaine paid and then they went shopping. Kurt went into almost every store and always came out with one or two bags. He didn't really care about the amount of money he was spending because he was having a good time. He and Blaine kept laughing at little things while they shopped around each store, and Kurt couldn't wipe the smile off his face. This really felt like the old days.

They started heading back to the car, Blaine having to help with the bags. Right as Kurt was about to sit down Blaine took his wrist.

"One more surprise."

That's how Kurt found himself at the Sears Tower, on the 103rd floor over looking the city. He was pretty sure he was going to faint. He hated heights and Blaine knew he did, so why was he up here?

"Alright one last thing before we leave."

"That's what you said ten minutes ago Blaine."  

"Oh well, come on." Blaine grabbed his wrist and pulled him to the sky box. It was a Plexiglas box that hung off the side of the building, which you could step onto and be 103 stories above the ground.

"No - no way Blaine." Kurt said when he saw where he was being dragged. He tried to get out of his grip but Blaine just tightened his hand and kept pulling.

Kurt closed his eyes as they got closer. He didn't want to do this. He hated Blaine for making him do this.

Blaine stopped all of a sudden and his eyes flew open. They were standing in the middle of the box. Without thinking Kurt stumbled into Blaine's arms, afraid he was going to fall.

"It's okay." Blaine said wrapping his arms around Kurt's torso. The touch was warm and made a small smile appear on Kurt's lips.

Kurt looked over his shoulder and saw the amazing view. You could see every thing, all the parks, Lake Michigan, the boats on the lake, the river's and a lot more.

"Wow." He said, a little breathless.

"Beautiful isn't it?"

"Its breath taking." Kurt said with a smile. He didn't want to admit it, but he really loved that box. The view was crazy amazing, and being in Blaine's arms made him feel safe. He wouldn't say it out loud, but he might be falling for him again. 

"Alright, we can go now, I just wanted you to see the amazing view." Blaine said dropping his arms. Kurt missed the heat, but nodded and they made their way home.

Kurt was in bed, reading, when a light tap sounded on his door. He put his book down and called for them to come in. Blaine entered, pajama pants on, shirt off, like always, with a large grin on his face.

"Hey, I just wanted to come say goodnight." Blaine said, jumping on Kurt's bed.

Kurt giggled, and blushed a little. He had no idea why he was blushing all of sudden around Blaine, but he hoped he couldn't tell. "Goodnight Blaine. I had a lot of fun today."

"Me too Kurt." He said with a smile. "We should do stuff like that more often."

"Definitely." He replied with a small yawn.

"Okay, I'll leave you. Sleep tight." Blaine backed off of Kurt's bed and started towards the door.

"Goodnight." Kurt said one more time before switching off the light next to his bed. He was really worn out from his bonding day with Blaine, but really that was okay because it was totally worth it.
