Blaine snuck into the apartment the next day, trying not to wake up Kurt. As he turned the corner he jumped out of his skin when he saw him standing and drinking coffee. Kurt was reading the paper but looked up as soon as he heard Blaine. He just smiled a little before looking back down. Blaine cocked his head, a little confused as to why Kurt wasn't chewing him out. He went over to the coffee pot and took a mug.
He gingerly sat down next to Kurt, waiting for whatever he spit at him. But nothing happened; they sat there in silence sipping at their coffee.
When the silence grew to loud Blaine decided to break it. "Hey."
Kurt looked up and smiled at him, then looked back down to the paper.
"Sorry I didn't let you know I wasn't going to be here last night."
"It's really none of my business Blaine."
"I just didn't want you to worry."
"I wasn't worried Blaine," Kurt said a little stiff. "You're a big boy so what you do doesn't concern me."
"Oh." Blaine said a little dejected.
"You are aloud to have a life."
"Right..."
Kurt half smiled and then got up and placed his cup in the sink and then got ready to leave the room before being stopped by Blaine.
"He asked me too be his boyfriend."
Kurt stopped cold before turning back around and looking at him. Blaine couldn't really tell what Kurt was feeling, his eyes were less readable then they were two years ago.
"That's great Blaine."
He smiled. "Yea. But I was wondering if maybe you wanted to join us for dinner tomorrow. He wants to meet you."
Kurt gave him a confused look. "He wants to meet me?"
"Shane. Yea he said the two of you were never really close friends but he wants to be your friend because of how close we are."
"O-oh. Uhm, sure I could do that."
"Awesome!" Blaine said with a smile. "So tomorrow at like six meet here and then we can go."
Blaine and Shane were sitting on one side of the booth while Kurt sat across from them. Kurt looked really uncomfortable. And Blaine didn't really didn't know why. They met at the apartment and looked to be fine. Shane complimented Kurt's scarf and then they headed to eat.
Shane and Blaine were holding hands under the table as they all talked and he couldn't really think of the last time he felt this kind of spark. Shane was the whole package deal and Blaine was really happy.
He excused himself fast to go use the bathroom and left the two to talk.
A Moment Of Kurt
No Blaine don't leave don't ...gahhh.
He turned back to see Shane staring at him. "What?"
"Nothing just admiring your eyes."
"Shane what's your angle here?"
Shane propped his chin on his hands. "Whatever do you mean Kurtie?"
"Don't call me that, and you know exactly what I mean. Barley Friends? Seriously? We dated, or did you forget that?"
"No I remember. I just think Blaine doesn't need to know."
Kurt rolled his eyes. "And why's that Shane?"
"Because I don't need him asking you things about how to move with this relationship and things about me. Or for you to tell him lies."
"What lie would I be telling him huh?" He asked sarcastically.
"Look Kurtie, I make Blaine happy, were having where we are. Do you really want to ruin that?"
"...no." he said with a sigh.
"Exactly. So don't say anything and we won't have a problem."
Blaine was walking back to the table and saw Kurt and Shane having what looked like a heated conversation. He couldn't hear anything, but he hoped that it wasn't anything bad because he didn't want either of his relationships with these guys ruined.
"What are talking about?" He asked as he walked up.
Shane turned around and smiled at him. "Discussing the best designer right Kurt?"
"Yep, couldn't let Shane think he knew the better one."
Blaine smiled seeing the two most important people in his life getting along.
When they got home that night Kurt excused himself to his bedroom and he and Shane had a pretty heated make out session.
After Shane left Blaine went and lightly knocked on Kurt's door. After hearing a quiet 'come in' he pushed the door open and went to sit on the edge of the bed.
"So?" He asked in an expectant voice.
"What?" Kurt asked back.
"Do you like Shane? I know you guys aren't really friends but do you like him?"
"Look Blaine, Shane and I -."
"I mean, he makes me really happy. He treats me right and hasn't pressured me at all. I know it's only been a little I've known him but I really like him. And he makes me feel important and wanted. Your opinion means everything to me because you have and always will be my best friend. You know what's good for me and I just want to make sure you like him."
"Uhm, yea Blaine, Shane is really great."
Blaine launched himself into Kurt's arms, smiling against his shoulder. He however, couldn't see Kurt, who was frowning with unshed tears in his eyes.
