Blaine sat comfortably on the small love seat in the living. The TV was on but it was just as background noise, he was too distracted to even care what was on. He sat running his finger's through chestnut brown hair, staring down into blue serene orbs. Kurt was telling him about his fashion design class disaster and Blaine could only smile and listen.
"I swear Blaine this girl had no idea what she was doing. It was sad. I know I'm not that great with fashion but I'm better than her."
"But you're fantastic Kurt. Seriously you are the most fashionable person out of all our friends."
Kurt smiled at him, leaning into the fingers making there way through his locks.
"That feels amazing."
"Well good since you had a trying day babe."
Kurt smiled larger at the nickname. Being Blaine's boyfriend would never get old.
**flashback**
Kurt pulled back with a shy smile but he didn't drop his hands from Blaine's neck. He was not expecting that after coming out of the doctor's office.
"Uhmm..." Blaine let out a huff of air and a little laugh.
"You seem to always surprise kiss me" Kurt said with a giggle.
Blaine looked up to finally meet his eyes, his amber orbs lit up with what could only be pure adoration. "I can't help it. I like being spontaneous." He gave Kurt a little wink.
"Well feel free to be spontaneous again."
They both lunged back in to each other, lips meeting in the middle. Kurt felt a pair of warm hands find their spot on his hips and he relaxed at the feeling. It reminded him of years ago. The thought made him smile and laugh into the kiss, making Blaine pull back.
"Okay? Giggling?"
"Sorry, I just, this feels amazing, I can't describe how much I've missed it."
Blaine quirked an eyebrow. "You missed kissing me?"
"Mhmm." Kurt hummed placing a chaste kiss on Blaine's mouth.
"Then why didn't you kiss me before?" He inquired.
"I wasn't sure how you felt. You aren't as readable as you were before."
Blaine pulled him closer. "Do you want to go have lunch? We could talk?"
"That sounds like an amazing idea."
**
Best lunch ever Kurt thought. They sat awhile longer, just chatting and being with each other when Blaine got up faster than Kurt expected, thus he went crashing down to the floor.
"BLAINE!!" Kurt yelled to the man rushing out of the room.
"Sorry, I'm sorry but we have dinner plans remember!?" He shouted from down the hall.
Kurt looked to the clock seeing that it was already half past five.
"Shit!" Kurt muttered as he ran to his room to change for Friday night dinner.
**Flashback**
"Blaine come on we've already been to dinner with them once before."
Blaine shook his head. "This is different I'm dating their son now."
"But they don't know that its you. I just told them it was my new boyfriend. Please, do this for me? They already love you Blaine. They were so happy to have you back in their lives, this is just icing on the cake." He stuck out his bottom lip.
Blaine let out a sigh. "Fine, I'll go."
Kurt smiled then flew into Blaine's arms. "Thank you!!" He placed a kiss to his parted lips. He pulled back with a little smirk. "Kissing you will never get old."
Blaine rolled his eyes then pulled Kurt in for another kiss.
**
Kurt could see Blaine shaking his leg up and down as they pulled into tje driveway for dinner.
"Blaine relax, they already love you." Kurt gently placed a hand on the shorter mans thigh.
"They love the old me. The high school me. I'm different now."
Kurt squeezed his thigh. "Trust me. As long as I'm happy they're happy. And I'm so happy."
Blaine turned and looked at him with bright eyes. "I'm happy too." He placed his hand over Kurt's. "Let's go, don't want to be late with meeting the parents."
Kurt let out a laugh and then climbed out of the car. They walked hand and hand to the front of the door, then rang the doorbell.
A few seconds later Finn was answering the door and shooting Kurt a confused look. "I thought you were bringing over your new boyfriend not Bla-oh! Oh!!" A sly smile grew on Finns face. "I knew it would happen eventually."
Kurt rolled his eyes and entered the small house with Blaine by his side. Carole and Burt were sitting on the couch, the radio on and both having their noses buried in a book.
"Uhm hi." Kurt said, pulling attention to him and Blaine. Carole looked up and a smirk graced her lips as she saw Kurt and Blaine holding hands.
"Hey Kiddo." Burt said with a sigh, getting up and giving Kurt a hug. He turned to Blaine and shook his hand with a small pat on the back before taking his spot next to his wife. "So, Kurt where is this new boyfriend of yours."
Everyone in the room giggled, while Burt sat with a confused expression.
Kurt saw his dad's face and stopped laughing. "Sorry, Dad this is Blaine, my new boyfriend."
Both sides of Burt's mouth curved up into a small smile. Then he was laughing. Hard.
Blaine stood stalk still. This was de javu.
**3years earlier.**
"Blaine don't be nervous, it's just my dad."
"Exactly!! It's your dad!! I'm the first guy you brought home, he is gonna murder me."
Kurt rolled his eyes as they entered the shop, the smell of car oil and sweat filling their noises.
They silently made their way to Burt's office where he was sitting; doing paper work.
"Hi dad." Kurt said as they both sat down in front of the desk.
"Hey boys, what was it that you needed to talk about?" He was still looking down at the papers on his desk so he missed the sideway glance between the two teens.
"Uhm I just wanted to tell you that uh..."
Burt looked up to his son not having heard him. He took in the sight of Kurt with a slight blush and Blaine looking paler than his usual skin tone.
"What was that?" He said with a laugh.
Kurt let out a breath of air. "Blaine and I are dating."
Burt looked between the two boys and started laughing. "'Bout damn time."
**present time**
They sat at the dinner table, sharing stories about their school and work week, just like they had every Friday dinner.
Kurt smiled as Blaine and Finn talked about the most recent Football game. He had missed this. Being with Blaine and having him fit so perfectly into his family. Kurt would forever be thankful to whatever higher being, if there was one that brought them back together. Because he was once again back with the love of his life.
"So what are you boys going to be doing for the holiday coming up?" Burt asked.
Blaine shot a glance over to Kurt, then looked back at the older man. "I'm going to visit my parents. I was actually hoping Kurt would come."
"I would love to go with you." Kurt said turning toward Blaine.
Blaine smiled and squeezed his hand. Now he wasn't so nervous about seeing his parents again.
