"Blaine I'm so sorry." Kurt said through tears.
"I love you....why...why are you doing this to us?" He said breathlessly.
"We're moving. Long distance just doesn't work. These few months have been amazing. I love you and always will." He was crying harder now. "Look I have to go. Bye Blaine. I will never forget you" Kurt leaned down and kissed Blaine's forehead and then left.
That was the last time Blaine saw Kurt. His family moved to Chicago the next day.
And although the first few months they texted they soon died down and became non existent.
Blaine spent the rest of his summer being lonely and crying at everything that reminded him of Kurt. A song, a food, a love note written on a napkin.
But soon school started again. And he became busy with work, Warblers, homework and friends. Blaine was going to make senior year amazing. And eventually it lived up to all he hoped it would be. He found another relationship with a tall dark and handsome man, Daniel. They met in October and had been dating ever since.
Graduation came and went, Daniel and Blaine making their way to the University of Chicago. Both getting scholarships to attend.
Freshman year was hard for Blaine. He had to balance all his classes and a boyfriend. And even though he did that in high school, College was different. Living in the dorm and partying was not working out.
He made a promise to making sophomore year better and different. That's how he ended up in this tiny coffee shop.
Blaine had been searching for a place where he could just go and get away from the stress of everything. To study and write. And to forget about his now shaky relationship with his cheating boyfriend. He found it at the beginning of June and had come almost everyday since.
"Medium Drip please." He ordered.
"Of course Blaine, it's what you always get." He smiled and paid then went to take a seat by his usual window. The A/C in the shop was nice compared to the summer heat outside. He had been at the cafe for about an hour when he heard the familiar voice.
"Non-fat mocha Monica!" The voice shouted from the door. He was obviously a regular just like Blaine. But this was Blaine spot, not his. The boy took a seat across the room not even noticing Blaine. He sat staring for a minute before deciding to leave. He packed all his stuff up and headed towards the door.
"Bye Blaine!" Monica called after him. "See you tomorrow, I'll have your medium drip ready, like always." He froze and turned around to wave at Monica. He scanned the room seeing no one else was paying attention. Phew off the hook.
But suddenly they locked eyes. Bright and blue, the same as always. They looked older, more experienced but still so beautiful. Blaine's breath hitched.
"B-blaine?"
"Hi Kurt."
