Author's Notes:

A/N: I'm too emotionally wounded to write yesterday, and tired, because it was my first time waking up in the middle of the night to watch Glee broadcast (time difference). Today, I'm too emotionally wounded not to write anything. So this came out. Part of my daily Klaine project until they make up.

Blaine didn't reply. Kurt didn't obsessively check his phone every five minutes, but he did check his phone when he woke up, before getting into class, after class.

If he had to be honest, he wasn't too disappointed, but he was sad. He thought this time it would be different.

Well, if people just like the idea of me, I can't help it. Who would want to date a corpse, anyway.

So he shrugged it off, went on with life. He would never let himself to mourn over someone who doesn't want him, not again. Kurt Hummel learnt it the hard way, and he will keep it that way. He went to lectures, picked up his laundry, check on his dad in the garage, went home to read over school materials before Glee.

Nothing will stop him from going to Glee, not after he just reconnected his past life with his current one.

The stereo in the living room was blaring with Owl City when Kurt heard a knock on the front door. Who was it? Dad? Did he forgot his keys, or---Oh no. No.

He pretty much raced to the door and yanked it open with urgency, and felt completely confused when he saw Blaine standing timidly at his doorsteps.

What is he doing here? He slumped a bit to the door frame.

"School wouldn't be over until an hour later, you shouldn't be here." He asked as he silently let out the breathe he was holding.

Blaine shifted a little, and went indoors when Kurt stepped sideways from the door, "I wanted to see you, so I came. And I had double free period anyway."

"You want a drink or something?"

He shook his head, but followed Kurt into the kitchen and leaned against the counter as Kurt poured himself a glass of water. "I---- I got your text."

"I wanted to reply, but I don't think I should do it over text."

"How do you want to do it?" Kurt turned his gaze to those hazel brown eyes, he was mesmerized by it.

Blaine stared back for a moment before replying, "Can I borrow your piano?"

So he led Blaine to his room. Nobody in this house plays piano except him, he didn't see any real reason to keep it anywhere, blocking people's way.

"It's all yours." He gestured, but Blaine took his hand, and guided him towards the piano chair, they end up sitting next to each other.

It hard not to recognize the melody when it was all over the radio whenever Kurt turns it on, "I know you get me, so I let my walls come down, down." Teenage Dream

"You make me feel like a teenage dream, the way you turn me on." He was smiling, voice low, looking all sexy and hot. Intentionally. He wanted to attract Kurt. "So take a chance, don't ever look back. Don't ever look back."

He wasn't sure whether the fact Blaine plays the piano, or the fact he was being serenaded, or both, was a humungous turn on.
Or probably his ability to turn this overly done song into a romantic but seducing version.

Kurt wanted nothing more than letting those hands on the piano keys to touch him, to feel the intimacy.

Because that was a confession, from him. That he knew me and wanted me, the way I would want him as well.

Their eyes were locked with each others', it was this moment that no words would be able to be spoken without breaking the atmosphere, so instead, they stayed in perfect silence.

I want him. But I can't. I'm a walking grenade, I'm going to die any minute.
I don't want to put him through this, he doesn't deserve any of these.

"You're thinking really loudly, Kurt." Blaine said in a whisper, "and before you say anything, can I have a monologue?"

He saw Kurt nodded and continued, "I just want you to know, I really, really, really, like you.  I know we've only known each other for a handful of hours, but it felt like forever."

"I don't know what we'll become of, but I wanted all those possibilities with you. I wanted to know you, not just what you like or don't like; everything, I wanted to know your habits, create habits with you, and hell, I wanted to become your habit."

"And yes, Kurt, I would love to talk to you every night before we go to bed, in whatever relationship we'll have. I'd like that."

He closed his eyes, feeling Blaine's presence next to him. Can I keep him? No. But I want to be with him, in whatever way this universe is letting me.

"I like you, too. But I hope you know that I'm a grenade that's going to explode any second."

"I'm a dying person, Blaine. And I don't want to put you through this, you don't deserve it. You're done with death two years ago."

"I don't want to set you up for heartbreak, I don't want to set myself for heartbreak either."

"You're sweet, and again, I really like you. But I can't have this. Not when I know I'm going to leave you behind, and not when I know there's a possibility you might leave me behind because you won't be able to handle this."

"But please know that, I like you. So much, more than I ever thought I'm capable of. And I want you the way you want me as well."

Blaine raised his hand and cupped his left cheek, "I know, I know."

He couldn't help but to lean towards the warmth, if only I can have this, he closed his eyes and thought.

"But can I continue to see you?"

"I'd like that." Kurt peered through his lashes, and kissed him on the cheek.

They decided to skip Glee and went to the park again. This time with full picnic equipments: Kurt in suitable attire, sandwiches from Kurt's favorite bakery, coffee from the Lima Bean, a blanket, a bug repellent spray.

The weather was impeccable, the sun was peeping between the occasional clouds with the rare warmth of November.

Conversation between them was natural, they didn't have any awkward silence, flowing comfortably from topic to topic.

"How did you know my address?" Kurt asked, as he leaned back to the tree they were sitting under.

Blaine blushed furiously before replying, "I was worried whether you'll get home safely that night, so I sort of followed you back and made sure you were fine."

Then it was Kurt's turn to blush. "The piano? How did you know?"

"Oh, Finn mentioned there was a piano in his house once when we were talking about rehearsal venues outside school. But I didn't know it was in your room."

Oh god, I've never thought of it. That was forward of me, no wonder Blaine was surprised when I took him upstairs.

They leaned against each other, continued talking, enjoying the day, until the skyline began to darken.

"I have to go home for dinner. I didn't tell anyone I'm not cooking." Kurt said in an airy tone, he was drunk, by the tenderness of the environment. He didn't want to move.

"You cook?" He asked in awe, "what can't you do? You sing, you play the piano, you're in college doing a double major, you dress as if you came straight out from Vogue."

I can't be a normal human, I can't fall in love with you, I can't be with you; there's so much deficiency in me, but instead he swallowed his words and turned the corners of his lips, "I can fix cars as well."

And laughed as Blaine groaned in frustration. He doesn't need those crap from me.

They had the same problem bidding each other goodbye. Kurt wondered whether they'll stay like this forever, not wanting to leave one another's side.

Time was slipping by fast, and he wanted to be selfish for once. It's not like you get someone declaring their feelings for you everyday. So screw it.

"Actually, do you want to have dinner with us tonight?"
