Author's Notes: A/N: Quick note. It's not a very length update I know, but I'm sort of freaking out about my course because I feel like falling behind already (even it's my first week) and I'm having a crappy moment because my life sucked as always. So I can't really type up a lot and perfect my proofread, sorry :( Oh right, one more thing, there's a slight reference to another fic so... forgive me I couldn't help myself :P

"How was your evening?" Carole asked sweetly, she was at nightshift yesterday when Kurt got home. He bit his bottom lip, tried to suppress a grin, "it was okay."

And then Finn had to point out the obvious. "You're happy."

Thank you for you input, nobody asked for it.

Kurt glared at him, but only earned a warm smile from him. Great, now I can't be mad at you. Awesome job, Finn Hudson.

Despite that, he wasn't really pissed. He's just having one of those love/hate brotherly moments. He was glad that Finn cared and was happy for him.

"Is that boy gay?" Burt raised his brows, "I need to know his address, his phone number, his parents' work address and his social security number. And tell him I have a shotgun in the basement."

"No you do not." Kurt shot back automatically, "and no, I don't know any of those things. We're just friends, so you don't have to know any of those."

Even I'm pretty sure I have a humungous crush on him and vice versa.

He brushed the topic off by clearing the table and offering coffee, luckily, everyone went along and the topic switched to their daily events.

Glee doesn't meet on a Wednesday, so Kurt texted Blaine when he was having lunch.

"You are utterly ridiculous."

His phone beeped almost immediately. "You finally texted me! I was so worried the Post-it fell off or something :L"

He chewed his lettuce and typed, "When did you slip that thing in my coat?"

"Oh, when you were kissing me? :D"

Stop using emoticons, I keep imagining you doing those faces and it's too adorable.

"You scheming...thing!"

"Thing?! D:"

"I'm just ineloquent when I'm attacked by adorable emoticons, shhh!"

"Aww."

"Shut up."

":X"

"Okay, no. Keep talking. Make fun of me. Whatever."

I can't tell if this is flirting, I've never flirted with anyone before. But if it is, I can see the appeal in it, and I deny I'm enjoying it far too much.

"No, never! I will never make fun of you! ;)" It made Kurt smile, and before he could reply, there was another text. "Are you free today? I don't want to wait till tomorrow to see you again :3)

His heart was flooded with warmth when he saw the emoticon, and considered.

No, not too fast. I need a moment to myself before I let myself into anything.

"Patience, tiger. You don't want to sound too eager ;)"

Kurt knew that he's going to fall for Blaine, but he didn't want rush things. He can't set himself up for heartbreak, he can't set Blaine up for heartbreak. He needed to know both of them were fully prepared before anything gets serious.

I don't want anyone crying over me. I don't want anyone to carry my burden.

He check his messages after throwing the plastic container and fork into the cafeteria bin.

"I am eager! But I respect your decision :) Can I at least call? I wanted to hear your voice."

Oh, okay. This is totally flirting. And Blaine Anderson is the Yoda of it.

"Sure, I'll call you tonight?"

"You'd better :D"

He smiled, and walked into the Lecture Hall.

The rest of the day was uneventful. He went home, baked, Mercedes came over with Rachel, cooked dinner (I knew Finn would get the wrong type of pasta), had dinner, read over some school materials, took a shower.

After Kurt applied the last layer of his moisturizing cream, he called Blaine. It was 21:33.

The line was picked up almost immediately. He wasn't lying about eager.

"Hi." He was feeling shy for no reason, Blaine wasn't even in front of him, yet Kurt felt nervous

"Hi." At the other end of the line, Blaine sounded breathless. Did he just came back from a run or?

"Am I calling at an inconvenient time? I can callback if you want?"

"No! No, it's fine."

"You sound breathless." He pointed out boldly.

"Because your voice is breathtaking."

Okay, he's not a Jedi, he's fucking Darth Vader of flirting. He can take over the world with his words.

"Well, I am flattered." And now I'm breathless.

"Don't be. It's a fact." Blaine's voice was deep and low, as sexy as a voice can be. And man, was he turned on.

Kurt wondered how can a person be so sincere with his words and at the same time, appropriately flirty. Was that even possible?

He chuckled, and asked, "so, are you planning to tell me about yourself like you promised?"

Blaine was amused that he remembered, but started talking.

He has a brother, actor, not successful.

His dad is a lawyer, his mom used to work in Africa for Doctors Without Boundaries and became a volunteer in Red Cross after marriage.

He loves reading.

He plays the piano, the violin, the cello, the flute.

He loves astronomy.

He likes planes.

He's a Catholic---Wait, what?

"You're a catholic?" Kurt tried to sound not so scandalized, but he knew he failed epically.

"Yes." Blaine sounded extremely confident, and repeated, "I'm a Catholic."

"But----" He took a deep breathe, "the Catholic church condemns homosexuality and... if God loves us so much, why did he gave us cancer?"

If he loves us so much, why did he took my mom away from me?

"Aha. Actually, it's the Pope and the Bible that says God condemns us. Not God himself. And about the cancer, I believe it's a way God shows us his existence, his challenge for us  to become a better person."

"I love my relationship with God. He took care of me in my most difficult times. I understand you're an atheist, so I'm just going to stop here. "

Kurt was quiet, but he wasn't being judgmental. People are free to choose what they believe or don't believe in, he respected that. Blaine wasn't forcing religion on him.

"Are you mad?" Blaine asked carefully, that's when Kurt realized he didn't response.

"No, Blaine, I'm not, I can't be angry at you for respecting my disbelief."

They talked a while longer, until Kurt was getting sleepy. Even there was oxygen pumped into his body, it wasn't anything close to normal oxygen; his sleeping hours had extended ever since he was diagnosed.

He tried very hard to stay awake and keep up his coherency, but Blaine still recognized his sleepy voice, and asked softly, "am I boring you?"

Kurt laughed, "you're not boring, so no. It's just my lack of oxygen makes me really tired all the time."

"Well, you should go to bed then." He replied gently, and Kurt's eyes was already half closed. Blaine's voice was overly soothing and he's going to fall asleep any minute.

"Okay."

"Okay."

"Good night."

"Good night."

"Sweet dreams."
"You too."

"Okay, I'm going to hang up now, even I don't want to. You need your sleep." Blaine said good night once more, and hung up.

Kurt was too tired to be giddy about how much a gentleman Blaine was, how romantic that was, and how someone other than his family would treat him like he was important.

Instead, he typed out a message and clicked on sent, before he set his alarms and went to bed.

"I think I would like to talk to you every night before I go to bed."
