It was a nice summer day, not to hot, not to cold. And that's why Blaine and Kurt were unusually hyper. Although, if you asked them, it was just enthusiasm. All day they were horsing around, doing things that were rather out of character for the both of them. Carole and Burt loved to sit around watching them do incredibly childish things. For a first, when they saw Blaine go through the kitchen door, through the living room, and out the front door with Kurt on his back yelling 'onward, my noble steed!'
They laughed at it, but it was nothing compared to the next couple of things they witnessed. For example, when Kurt brought his portable iPod doc outside and they decided to have a dance party of two, blasting Lady Gaga music so loud the neighbours could hear and dancing around the front yard, falling over on multiple occasions.
Or when they decided to race up and down the street, and the first one to five one. They watched the two kids run past the house, Blaine in front of Kurt the first time, then Kurt in front of Blaine the next, continuing in that pattern.
Or when they decided to have a water fight, gathering all of Finn's water guns and some old water balloons, sponges, and Styrofoam cups. They ran around the front and back yard until Kurt finally gave up and dumped a bucket on Blaine's head then gave him a huge, wet hug.
The shenanigans came to an end when both boys came into the living room, dried off from the sun, laid down on the floor, and fell asleep. It was interesting watching the two boys act like toddlers for a day.
But, sadly, the 'enthusiasm' had to come to an end at some point.
