“Kurtie! I love you, KK. Did I ever tell you that?” Blaine was high as a kite. Granted, he’d just had eye surgery, but still. High.

“Yes, B, you told me during the summer. A whole bunch.” Kurt patted his knee.

“Well, good. One of my worst fears is people not knowing how much I love them, did you know?”

“Yes, the subject of fears may have come up once or twice.” The nurse walked in with the popsicle she had promised Blaine, despite his age.

“Nurse Nancy! Did I ever tell you that I love you for helping me see again? I bet people tell you they love you a lot. You’re and awesome lady.” Kurt held back peels of laughter, not wanting to laugh at Blaine when he was completely serious. Nurse Nancy was pretty fantastic, after all.

“Actually, Blaine, people don’t tell me that nearly enough.” She unwrapped the popsicle and handed it over to Kurt, so he could help Blaine eat it without it melting all over. Kurt got up from his plastic chair and perched himself on the edge of Blaine’s bed.

“Kurt,” Blaine said urgently in a hushed tone, poking Kurt’s side, “you have to tell Nurse Nancy you love her. You love her don’t you?”

“Yes, Blaine, she’s a fantastic woman.” Kurt ruffled Blaine’s hair and twisted around so he could talk to the nurse.

“I love you, Nurse Nancy!” he said somewhat obnoxiously, because Blaine couldn’t tell the difference between acting and sincerity right now.

“Oh my, two handsome gentlemen in pursuit of my affections! Whatever shall I do?” Nancy dramatically pressed a hand to her forehead.

Blaine’s eyes widened and he shook his head fiercely. “Nooo,” he said childishly. “He’s mine.” Blaine wrapped posessive arms around Kurt’s middle and rested his head against his shoulder, a pout on his face until he noticed the lime green popsicle in Kurt’s left hand and went for it with his tongue sticking out.

“Aw, shucks. Well, enjoy your popsicle, Blaine. Say hi to your dad for me, Kurt.” Nancy gave a short wave and made her way out of the room, gently closing the door behind her.
