Author's Notes: So I guess this is where things get...better...no...wait...thats next chapter.

Blaine woke up the next morning with a broad smile stretching across the length of his face. For the first time in a long time, it wasn't a smile that he was forced to wear, but instead, one that he wanted to wear.

He knew that he had school to go to, but luckily it was Friday. That and directly after, Cooper would be there and they would be on their way to the airport...to New York.

Blaine had always wanted to go to New York. He wanted to be surrounded by all of the people, rushing to get from here to there. He wanted to be able to go out to dinner every night for years and never have to go to the same restaurant twice. He wanted to be near the stage. McKinley gave him that. So did Dalton. But it wasn't the same. It wasn't Broadway. And it wasn't with Cooper.

Blaine packed his bags and set it under his bed, exactly where he knew Cooper would be able to find it.

He brushed his teeth, grabbed an apple from the bowl sitting in the middle of the table, and ran out the door, as all of his problems from the previous day magically vanished.

But that feeling didn't last long.

Kurt.

The first thing that Blaine did every morning was go meet up with his boyfriend at his locker so that he could receive a small peck on his cheek before beginning a long day of classes.

But not today.

Blaine caught himself as he turned the corner and saw Kurt talking to Mercedes and cleaning out his locker.

Was that a picture of him?

Blaine noticed as Kurt took the picture of Blaine out of his locker and looked at it for a few moments before handing it over to Mercedes who gave him a questioning look.

It looked as if Kurt was going to begin explaining the previous day's affairs but he caught Blaine's eye for a brief second and...hold it. Was that...a tear?

Kurt's blue eyes were surrounded by dark circles and were red and puffy as if he had just been crying.

No. Blaine. No. You don't care. Let him cry. He was the one that broke up with you. The one that broke your heart into...millions...of...little...tiny...bits. Blaine told himself as he fought the urge to run to Kurt and comfort him.

He didn't give in. Instead, he went back to his locker and hurriedly packed his books up for his first few periods...hoping that he would reach each classroom before the crowd so that he wouldn't be stuck sitting next to Kurt.

Unfortunately, some students...most student, got to class extra early every day. Blaine saw an open desk...next to Kurt.

He put his books down, attempting to block his view of his exboyfriend.

He sat down, avoiding all eye contact but he still felt the gaze that Kurt had kept on him since he had walked into the room.

You could practically cut the tension with a knife.

"Hey. Umm Blaine?" Blaine heard a voice come from next to him, knowing fully well that it was coming from Kurt.

He turned his head to face the one whose name shall not be mentioned.

"So...about yesterday. I..."

"Save it." Blaine said and turned to face the board.

"You can not listen to me, or you can, either way, it doesn't make a difference to me, because as I'm sure you know, I'm just going to keep talking."

Blaine kept looking at the board but secretly, he was hanging on every word that fell from the mouth of the beautiful boy next to him.

Blaine! Dammit! No! You are leaving. Clean break, remember. So no...he isn't beautiful, and no, you don't want that ass to be...NO! Just. No!

Blaine mentally slapped himself but quickly brought himself to compose himself and listen.

"So...you seemed hurt..."

Well what did you expect? Me to be jumping for joy? You broke up with me.

"...and I just...I wanted to make sure that you were okay, and that...I miss you...talking to you..."

It's been less than 24 hours. Look who's the clingy one now.

"...Anyway...I still love you, and I know that you don't, and I completely understand because I would be pissed if I was in your shoes..."

"You really think that I don't love you anymore? Because you broke up with me? You really are stupid." Shit. Way to go. Now he knows that you pay attention and you can't ignore him. Stupid ass. You have no right to be telling him he's stupid. Have you even...met yourself. No more talking. From here on out. No more.

"Excuse me? With the way that you stood up and practically ripped your jacket from the chair...it seemed like you hated me."

Blaine waited a little while to respond, contemplating whether or not he should say anything back.

"I do hate you. Just because I say I love you, doesn't mean I don't hate you or that I forgive you for doing that to me."

"I know. And I get it. But you have to try and see where I am coming from."

"A month ago...you said that we would make it work. That I would never lose you. Now look where we are. We aren't anything. I would have tried...given my everything to make it work because you mean that much to me, but I guess I didn't mean that much to you.'

"If you want...we can make the best out of these last few months. We can..."

"No Kurt. No, we can't. Even if I was staying, you left me. Now you feel lonely so you're crawling back..."

"If you were staying? Blaine Anderson? What the hell are you talking about?"

"Well...you know that brother I was telling you about? Well, he came back yesterday as I was trying to...nothing. But he came back and we are moving. Leaving right after school actually. So congratulations. Clean break. You can move on and...find someone before you leave."

"While you were trying to what, Blaine?"

"Kill myself. That what you want to hear? That what you expected to hear? Believe it or not. My life sucks, as you heard yesterday and losing you...I cracked. So yeah."

"Kill your- Blaine!"

"Goodbye Kurt."

The bell rang as Blaine rose from his seat and quickly ran out the door.

Almost done.

Blaine. Are you really going to leave. Not leave Lima...leave Kurt? Can you? You cracked in front of him. Spilled your plan. Your dirty little secret. Way to go, Buddy.
