Blaine woke up, realizing that he had no clothes on and there was an equally naked man in the bed to his right. He wiped the sleep from his eyes, hoping that if he closed his eyes and counted to ten that the man might disappear, but much to his dismay, that didn't happen.
Blaine took a minute to remember everything that had happened the night before, as he looked over the body, quickly realizing that it was Sean, who appeared to be waking up.
"Hey babe. You're up, that means I don't get to do my favorite thing, watching you sleep."
Blaine felt his stomach twist into knots, knowing that if he didn't end this now, he wasn't going to.
"Sean..." Sean saw the nervousness appear on Blaine's face.
"What? Is something wrong?"
"No," Blaine grabbed Sean's hand and held it in his, "Well, actually, yeah..."
"Then what?"
"I...I don't think that I can do this anymore." Blaine whispered avoiding contact with Sean's eyes.
"You can't do what Blaine?"
"Us, Sean, us."
"Did I...did I do something wrong, because I promise, I'll..."
"No. No you didn't do anything wrong. It's not you, it's me."
"Don't pull that on me."
"I'm not in love with you anymore, Sean."
"But we had sex Blaine, last night."
"I know. And that was a horrible mistake...I was trying to..."
"I get it. You love Kurt. I should have known that sooner, or well, accepted that sooner."
"What?"
"When you went to get coffee with him, I know that you kissed. I have a friend that is a barista at that shop, she knew who you were from the background on my phone, which, speaking of, I guess, I'm gonna have to change. Penguins maybe. They are cute, obviously, not as cute as you, but, they'll have to do. But she told me about it. I was going to tell you that I knew, but when you asked me to come over last night, I thought that maybe, everything would be okay, because you realized that you wanted to be with me, but that was stupid of me to think that. I should have thought that you would go back to him. I was just there to temporarily repair that hole he left, but now that he came back, he can permanently fix it, I just wasn't good enough." Sean had tears streaming down his cheeks.
"Sean...I am so sorry."
"No, don't. You can't help love him. I get it."
Blaine reached to wipe a tear from Sean's cheek, but he turned away.
"I love you, Blaine."
"Sean...I want to be friends. I don't want to lose you completely."
"I...I wish I could, but, Blaine, I don't think that I would be able to watch you walk around with Kurt, or anyother guy for that matter."
"I..."
"Bye, Blaine." Sean said, pulling his hand from Blaine's grasp and walking towards the door, glancing over his shoulder, taking in one last look at Blaine before exiting.
Blaine flopped onto the bed, pulling a pillow to his chest and clutching to it for dear life as a series of broken sobs fell from his mouth.
"Hey! Hey, Blaine!" Cooper said, peeling the covers back from Blaine's face, revealing a puffy eyes, tear stained Blaine.
"Go away, Coop." Blaine choked out, gripping tighter to the pillow.
"I want to know why you sound like a dying bear."
"I...Sean..." The tears began reforming in Blaine's eyes.
"Blaine, I'm gonna need you to calm down long enough to tell me what happened because to be honest, I cannot understand one word that you are saying."
Blaine took a deep breath as he wiped his eyes.
"I told Sean, well, the truth that he already knew, but we broke up. I told him that I didn't love him anymore."
"Wow. I did not see that one coming. You all seemed to be having a pretty good time last night. I was surprised that I was even able to fall asleep with all of the moans."
"Coop...that isn't helping."
"Sorry, little bro. There isn't much I can do about this. I mean, at least now you can have somebody that you can see yourself with. Now you don't have to lie to Sean, or to yourself anymore."
"But...Coop, I didn't think that I was going to lose Sean, not completely. I thought that we would be one of those couples that would break up but still be able to remain friends."
"First of all, Blaine, as soon as you add sex to a relationship, there is no way that you can be friends if you break up, that's why you have sex then you get out. And second, you two didn't have friendship as the foundation for your relationship, it went straight to romance. You have always been boyfriends, never just friends, like you and Kurt."
"I...wow...I think this is just about the first time that I fully understand what you are saying." Blaine teased, the faintest of smiles slipping across his lips.
"When are you going to tell Kurt?"
"I have no idea."
"Well, you know, you need to do it soon."
"Why? I need time for this wound to heal."
"Pretend you are a vampire and heal it in like ten seconds. If Kurt begins thinking that you aren't interested, he will begin looking for someone else and he will be snatched up in an instant. I mean, if I was gay, I would certainly try to get in his pants."
"Cooper!"
"What! It's true."
"I'll tell him tomorrow."
