Kurt.
Kurt couldn't breathe.
He walked through the cafeteria quickly, eyes glued to the floor, music playing loudly in his ears, his knuckles white as he gripped his tray as hard as he could.
Just alittle bit further.
Just alittle bit further.
Don't look up.
Do not look up.
You're almost there.
Just keep your head low and you'll be fine.
Just keep your head low and you won't see him.
Just don't look up.
"Ha-Ha-Ha," Kurt heard a deep voice snicker across the room, head snapping up. He bit down on the inside of his cheek hard and tried his best to keep down a whimper. Sebastian looked up from the boy who had attached himself to his neck, eyes piercing directly into Kurt and smirked, letting out a loud moan. Kurt bit down harder. The uncomfortable heat climbing threw his body yet again. He dropped his tray on the ground, and ran out of the room. Spiriting to the bathroom and locking the door.
Once inside, he started bawling. Breath coming out in hitches, hands pulling at his hair, and fingers pinching harshly at his skin. He tried to calm down, tried not to have an episode. The last thing his dad needed was a call about him having another blackout. He took deep breaths, but the image of Sebastian and the boy flashed threw his mind, the moan that escaped his lips screaming loudly all around him. Kurt couldn't escape it, he couldn't get away from the noise, the picture. His chest was beating so hard it was painful, he mind pulsing, and his skin white hot. He ran to the wall, slid down, and curled himself into a tight ball. He was crying so hard he was shaking, unable to control his screams.
He couldn't do this anymore. It had already been 2 months. 2 months since Sebastian had dumped him. 2 months since the incident.
Kurt was a mess. He was miserable. Kurt was lost.
He didn't even know who he was anymore. He floated day by day under a black cloud.
He didn't eat. He didn't talk. He didn't even sing during glee rehearsal. There was nothing for him without Sebastian. There was no Kurt without Sebastian. He didn't know what to do anymore. He didn't know anything. He started crying harder, as if it was possible.
Kurt stayed there sobbing until the bell rang. When he heard it chime through the halls, he pushed himself up, calmed his breathing, and grabbed his bag. He unlocked the door and took a deep breath before finally opening it and walking out, eyes reclaiming their position on the ground.
BEEP BEEP BEEP
The sound of his alarm clock woke Kurt instantly. He looked around his room, expecting to see piles of dark clothing on the ground, broken CD's in the corner, and used tissues everywhere. But it wasn't. It hadn't been that way for awhile. He let out a sigh of relief, reminding himself that it wasn't last year anymore. That he wasn't that person anymore. That he had Sebastian again. He felt better immediately. As long as he still had Sebastian, everything would be fine. As long as he still had Sebastian, he would be happy. As long as still had Sebastian, he wouldn't be that person again. And Kurt couldn't be that person again. No. Not ever.
Kurt nodded to himself, shaking the thoughts and getting off the bed. He was going to be late for school.
