Wow, that is what Blaine thinks when a tall, chestnut brown haired, green/blue eyed boy with a beautiful smile and a pale skin walks in. Not because he looks a lot like his mom, but because he's just wow. Blaine is so distracted by the boy that he doesn't even notice his birth parents, standing nervously in front of Blaine.
It feels akward. Everything. Burt is the first who talks. 'I'm Burt Hummel,' he says, 'And this is my, and yours, handsome son, Blaine.' 'Hi,' Blaine waves akwardly, eyes still on the other boy, who is staring at his feet. Blaine's bio dad shakes Burt's hand. 'Hello, nice to meet you,' he says, and Blaine feels he's lying. 'I'm Devon Anderson and this is my wife, Celia.' Celia has the fakest fake smile Blaine's ever seen, but Blaine doesn't care. He just want to know who their son, who isn't their son, is.
'Oh yeah' Celia says, like she just remembered something, 'This is your son, Kurt. Kurt, say hello to your real dad.' The boy, Kurt, finally looks up and he looks to Blaine, not to Burt. 'Hi,' he says as akwardly as Blaine did, 'I- eh, am Kurt.' Blaine can't stop staring. Kurt must have noticed, but his eyes...wow. Like Elizabeth's; an exploding star.
~~~
Kurt feels warm inside. Blaine is still staring at him and Kurt can't take his eyes of him either. Because it feels...good. Kurt noticed that Burt was different. He still called Blaine his son. Celia said "your son," like Kurt was nothing anymore. Kurt was surprised by Burt's look. For someone who has a stylish son like Kurt Anderson, he looked pretty awful with his baggy jeans and baseball cap.
'Hello, Kurt,' Burt says and Kurt finally looks away. He tries to smile, but he just can't. 'Well,' Mary says. Kurt forgot she was even here. 'This is akward,' she continues and everyone nods. 'Do you guys want something? If you do, I can get it for you and then leave you, so you can get to know each other.'
'We heard the news,' Nick says the next day, 'You okay, Kurt?' Kurt shrugs. 'What happened?' Wes asks. 'Tell us everything,' Trent says, 'I mean, if you want to. Because if you don't, you don't have to. And you don't have to do it just to please us, but for yours-' 'Trent!' Kurt cuts him off, 'It's okay. It's okay.'
'My parents drove to Lima. They told me in the car and I felt sick, of course. Then the meeting happened-' 'Oooooh,' David says. Kurt stops and everyone stares at him. 'Sorry, go on.' Kurt smiles, and it's a real one. 'My dad is a big man. No hair, so he wore a cap. And he looked too casual for me. His son, my parents' son- this is really confusing.' 'Let's just say, the boy who switched with you,' Thad suggests. Kurt agrees and continues, 'Yeah, that one.' 'What about him?'
'He's really handsome. Black hair, with too much gel. His eyebrows are triangle shaped, can you guys believe it?! Small. He wore a polo, with a cardigan and a really cut bowtie. High water jeans with converse sneakers, but no socks.' 'No socks?' 'No socks,' Kurt repeats, 'What's more? Eh... his eyes.' Kurt feels all dreamy again. 'What's with his eyes?' Jeff asks. 'They're so beautiful. Even his eyelashes. They're hazel brown, like my parents', but you can see light in his. A little sparkle.' 'And what's his name?' a nosy Trent asks. 'Blaine,' Kurt answers.
Blaine, what a beautiful name.
'Did you guys talk a lot?' Wes asks. Kurt shakes his head. 'No?' Wes is surprised. 'My dad has this meeting he needed to go to,' Kurt explains, 'But we- we're gonna meet again in the weekend at our place.
~~~
'How did they look like?' Sam asks excited. 'Calm down, Sam,' Tins hisses. 'It's okay, Tay-tay,' Blaine says before Sam could say anything back to Tina, 'My parents are called Devon and Celia, if I'm right.' 'You forgot?' Rachel asks disapproving. 'To be honest, I was really distracted,' Blaine answers, 'My dad's son was there too, remember?'
'How is he?' Finn asks, 'Because, y'know, if our parents get married, we'll be stepbrothers.' 'Kurt looks like my mother,' Blaine says, 'He's tall -not as tall as you, Finn- and has the same hair-, skin- and eyecolour as my mom. The only way you can see that he's also my dad's is by his face. That's looks like my mom's too, but also my dad's. He is very handsome. And the hair, oh my god, it looked like magic.' 'Magic?' Brittany asks. Blaine nods. 'Well, you're very interested in him,' Quinnestablishes. 'Of course I am,' Blaine says, 'He- He's me.I am him in another life.'
'What happened after that?' Santana asks. 'Well, that woman, Mary, gave us some coffee, and my dad-' 'Which one?' Rachel asks. 'Burt,' Blaine answers and continues, '-wanted to know more, but my bio-dad had to leave. Like...what?!?' 'Well, that's rude,' Artie exclaims. 'I know,' Blaine sighs, 'But we'll meet again this weekend. My dad-' 'Which one?' Rachel asks again. 'Burt,' Blaine answers annoyed, 'Let's just say; my dad is Burt and Devon is my "bio-dad," okay?' Rachel nods. 'So like I said. My dad and I have to go to Westerville. God damn Westerville! Two hours away from here!' 'That's going to be hard if you all want to know each other,' Sam says. Blaine shrugs. 'As far as I know, I just want to go back to my old life.'
Lies.
He wants to know Kurt.
