For some reason Word kept insisting that a part of this chapter is written in German. Every time I changed it language Engish (UK), Word basically said “No ❤”
Blaine Anderson: Is this true?
Kurt frowns. How can Blaine message him? He’s deleted the Eddie account.
Then he realises that Blaine isn’t messaging Eddie. He’s messaging Kurt.
Blaine Anderson: [photo of the
letter that Kurt put in Blaine’s locker.
The paper looks crumbled
and there are tear stains on it.]
Blaine Anderson: Kurt????
Kurt Hummel: I’m sorry.
Blaine Anderson: Fucking fuck me.
Blaine Anderson: No.
Blaine Anderson: I don’t believe this.
This can’t be real.
Kurt Hummel: It is. I’m so sorry.
Kurt Hummel: I meant what I
wrote in that letter. I can
never earn your forgiveness.
Blaine Anderson: No. Fuck.
This must be a fucking joke.
Blaine Anderson: If this really is true,
meet me at the Lima Bean around 5pm.
Kurt Hummel: Blaine.
Blaine Anderson: I just- I won’t believe
it until I see this myself.
When Kurt enters the Lima Bean, he can see Blaine sitting at a table in the corner. He looks miserable.
Kurt slowly walks towards him. He takes a deep breath and he calls out Blaine’s name.
Blaine already looked miserable, but when he sees Kurt, his entire face crumbles. He shakes his head as tears start to stream down his face.
Kurt wants to sit down in the seat opposite of Blaine, but Kurt’s appearance is galvanizing Blaine into action. Blaine gets up and runs out of the Lima Bean, crying. In his fervour, he left his bag next to the seat. Kurt picks up the bag and he follows Blaine outside. He’s holding back the tears.
“Blaine!” he yells when he sees that Blaine’s walking towards his car.
“Leave me alone!” Blaine yells without looking back.
“You forgot you bag!”
Blaine looks over his shoulder and the look on his face makes Kurt want to cry more. He did this. He caused all this pain and hurt. Blaine isn’t turning back, but he’s stopped walking towards his car. Kurt moves closer and he holds out Blaine’s bag.
“It’s… Here.”
He puts it on the ground, so that Blaine can pick it up when he’s out of sight.
“And I’m sorry. I really am.”
Kurt waits for a reply, but when it doesn’t come, he turns to leave.
“Why?”
Blaine’s voice is so quiet that Kurt barely heard it.
“What?”
“Why would you do this?” Blaine still has his back turned to him. The thought of seeing Kurt must be painful.
Kurt can understand. He’s also no longer holding back his tears. Kurt sniffs loudly as he tries to say something, but no words can fully encompass how sorry he is. Like he wrote in the letter, things are left unsaid, because what happened between of them is too big to put into words properly, and it’s all Kurt’s fault.
“Why?” Blaine asks again, louder this time. He sounds angrier. “Why? Why? Why?!”
“I never meant to hurt you-”
“Don’t bullshit me, Kurt!” Blaine turns around in anger and he charges at Kurt. Kurt closes his eyes, waiting for Blaine to punch him. He deserves it.
The blow never comes and when Kurt opens his eyes, he’s staring directly at Blaine. Blaine’s up close and incredibly angry.
“You did want to hurt me. You said so yourself. All because of a fucking scholarship?” he yells.
Blaine can hit him, kick him, spit in his face and Kurt will accept it, because Blaine’s right. This all had cruel intentions from the very beginning. Kurt knows this. Sure, it ended up differently than expected and Kurt got to know Blaine, but it was all under false pretenses.
“Don’t ever fucking talk to me again,” Blaine says in a low and angry voice.
He picks up his bag and leaves. Kurt’s crying in the parking lot, all alone. He always knew that there was no way back from this, but it still hurts
