Blaine’s looking at the sketches of the cake. Kurt made them together with his client and her excessive team, but Kurt did most of the drawing.

“Hm, I can understand my brother’s enthusiasm,” Blaine says and his eyes dart around the page, “But it’s very excessive. If we can pull this off, then we really need to have our entire staff fully behind it.” He gives Cooper a pointed look.

“Wait. What?” Kurt, Cooper and even Tim say at the same time.

Then, Cooper throws himself on his brother.

“We’re in?! My fucking God!”

Blaine laughs but he pushes his brother off him.

“Coop, I didn’t say that. ‘If’, Cooper. Learn to listen. I said ‘if’.”

“What are your terms and conditions?” Kurt asks quickly, because he sees that Cooper’s dying to talk even more.

“I want to give this a try under the condition that I have my full staff agreeing to working extra hours,” Blaine says, but he’s directing it towards Cooper, “We will not demand them to work overtime without their agreement, and we will pay them double for those extra hours-”

Tim whoops in the background.

“Since we need everyone in this organisation to be on board, we will only take on this request if everyone agrees to it.”

“That’s never gonna happen!” Cooper cries out, “Tom hates me. He’ll say no for sure!”

“Maybe if you actually took the time to know Tim, he wouldn’t hate you!” Blaine says and Kurt can hear Tim agreeing from behind the counter.

Cooper frowns.

“Who the hell is Tim?”

Yes, Kurt really dislikes Cooper.

Blaine ignores his brother and he turns back to Kurt. He looks very apologetic.

“I know you’re already on a tight schedule, but I think I can have a definite answer by the end of the day. We’re a relatively small company, and apart from my brother, everyone in the organisation values communication. I understand if you cannot lose another day and you want to look further, especially since it’s not a guaranteed yes.”

“No, it’s fine!” Kurt says.

It’s not fine.

Ideally, he wants the cake to be made as soon as possible. But he’s charmed by this Blaine Anderson. Is Kurt willing to risk the entire planning for one of the biggest moments of his career for him?

Apparently, the answer is yes.

End Notes:

By the way, this is what Tim looks like.
