“I am done with you, Cooper!” Blaine yells loudly.
Kurt ignores Tim’s protests and he walks towards the kitchen. Cooper and Blaine are in the middle, screaming at each other. Cooper’s beet red and Kurt sees a vein in his neck. Blaine also looks unhinged for his doing. His bowtie is slightly crooked. That’s bad!
Everyone else is standing to the side, all looking anxious.
“When were you going to tell me about this?” Cooper screams, “Were you even going to?”
“I was!” Blaine exclaims angrily, “But of course you had to go through my stuff! You’re so irresponsible!”
“I am irresponsible? This bakery is my livelihood. This bakery cannot survive without my mastermind!” Cooper spits out. Literally. Spit lands on the inside of his visor and Kurt makes a face of disgust. “You on the other hand are a big softie! You have no business-orientated mind, it’s pathetic! Everyone loves me, except for Tom, because I am brilliant! I am running this place!”
At those words, all the employees start mumbling their disagreements. Cooper hears and his head jerks towards them and he looks livid.
The fire in his eyes dies out a little bit when he sees Kurt standing there.
“Mr. Hummel!” he sputters, but then a new glint appears in his eyes. He turns back to Blaine with an overly confident smile. “Look what I have achieved! I made sure that we got booked by The Kurt Hummel!”
Blaine rolls his eyes in an exaggerated way.
“Oh please, don’t think for a second you agreed to it for the bakery. You wanted to be around the celebrities, especially now that your own Hollywood career has flopped miserably. You’ve never gotten further than that commercial!”
“Know your score, freecreditratingtoday.com slash savings!” Cooper sings angrily, “I nailed that. Not my fault no one else could see that talent.”
Kurt gulps. Okay, yes, he remembers that commercial vividly because he had that tune as his ringtone. A horrible realisation sinks in when he remembers that he had a crush on the actor in that commercial. He wants to slap his past self.
“So you admit to having an ulterior motive?” Blaine says coolly.
Cooper stumbles over his words. Blaine’s got him!
But then Cooper stares at Kurt again.
“Oh Blainey-Days, don’t fucking act as if you don’t have an ulterior motive!” he says, eyes still on Kurt. Kurt feels very uncomfortable under Cooper’s gaze. Luckily, Cooper turns away from him to sneer at Blaine. “You’re so disillusioned, little brother. You think he likes you back? Loves, even?”
Cooper lets out a joyless and mocking laugh.
“I don’t…” Blaine says awkwardly, “I would never… I mean…”
Kamelah and Sinéad both turn to Kurt, but then quickly look away. Josefien whispers something to Faarax, but he tells her to keep quiet. Kurt realises what Cooper is talking about. Blaine doesn’t meet his eyes.
Kurt has to get out of here. He turns on his heel and rushes out of the kitchen.
“Mr. Hummel-” Tim calls out, but Kurt’s already out of the bakery.
