And here we are, the end!
Blaine’s asked Kurt to meet up in his apartment.
“I can make lunch!” he says, “I have some boterhammen.”
“… Butter hams?” Kurt asks with a frown.
“Sandwiches,” Blaine explains as he walks towards the kitchen, “But yes, boter translates to butter and hammen to hams. Good job.”
Kurt pretends to bow in front of an audience and Blaine laughs. He really hopes that this comfortable feeling carries over to what comes next, but Blaine doubts it, since he’s a bundle of nerves.
“But yeah, sandwiches. It isn’t luxurious, but I didn’t have time to do groceries.”
He really didn’t. He spent the past day scooped up in his apartment, preparing for this moment.
“Oh, I am always down for a PB&J.”
“I don’t have any peanut butter, unfortunately.”
When Blaine realises what he’s said, he and Kurt share an amused look.
“Unfortunately peanut butter,” Kurt says with a smile.
Blaine makes the sandwiches, but he doesn’t sit down. If he does, then it will make it seem more official for some reason.
“Kurt…” he starts, “I actually need to tell you something.”
“Yeah?” Kurt sounds curious.
Blaine closes his eyes and he takes a deep breath.
He should just say it.
There is no easy way to say it. No matter what he says, it will sounds bonkers. He’s risking everything here. He knows he doesn’t have to tell Kurt, but Blaine and Wes decided to talk to their partners anyway, since it is a huge deal. They’re letting their entire planet and species astray to be with them.
But oh no, what if that only puts extra pressure on Kurt?
Like Wes said, this is all so new, but the two of them want to stay here because they want to see where this is going and because they believe that this can be their shot at love.
Suddenly, Blaine feels Kurt’s arms wrapping around him.
“It’s okay,” Kurt says and Blaine lets out a sigh and he leans his head against Kurt’s chest.
“Het spijt me,” Blaine says, “I need to- it’s kind of big and you’re not going to believe me-”
“How do you know? You haven’t told me yet.”
Kurt has a point.
Okay, here goes.
“I am an alien.”
Silence.
Out of panic, Blaine elaborates and he tells Kurt everything, about the original mission programme and about how his home planet is devoid of riches so he and Wes were sent here to gather inspiration, and that he is not going home because of Kurt and that his parents already sent an angry message back, but how he loves Kurt and wants to be with him so he is risking it all-
Kurt cups Blaine’s face.
“Blaine. I knew.”
“You knew?” Blaine exclaims.
This took an unexpected turn.
“How?”
Kurt chuckles.
“Okay, I didn’t fully know, but I suspected something was up,” he answers, “Blaine, you know all the languages of the world, probably even the universe. So I did some searching and Brittany, Santana’s girlfriend, told me about aliens. I didn’t really believe her, because she says a lot of nonsense, but it made sense…”
“How did Brittany know?”
Kurt shrugs.
“Brittany has her ways, I suppose. But I didn’t start to believe it until that day at the loft. The two of you left and I was sitting at the fire escape, trying to calm down from the adrenaline of kissing you, when I saw you and Wes walking down the road and… disappear out of thin air.”
Blaine frowns at the memory.
He and Wes were so exhilarated that Wes had troubles transporting them, and when he did, he did it on a whim. Oh my, they probably forgot to find a hidden spot to do it and they just transported in the middle of the road!
Blaine slaps his forehead.
“Yes, Wes has the power of transportation,” he says with a laugh.
Kurt knew.
Kurt knew!
Kurt laughs along and then he practically jumps on Blaine. Blaine kisses him back and together they fall on the couch, sandwiches long forgotten.
