“晚上好, 我们要点菜,” Blaine says and he orders a lot of food for the two of them. Wes sets down two mugs of tea. Their package from their home planet has been moved to the side.

Blaine finishes his order and he knows it’s time. He sits down next to Wes.

“Blaine,” Wes says with a deep sigh, “I need to apologise.”

“You do?” Blaine asks.

Wes nods solemnly.

“I think I may have indirectly caused you some harm, with the whole Kurt thing,” Wes says. Blaine frowns and he wants to say something, but Wes continues. “I thought it was all fun and games and a cute flirt. And I found you foolish to pursue it in a more serious way.”

Well, Wes isn’t wrong there.

“You were looking out for me,” Blaine says, “Wes, I-”

“Please, let me say this.”

“… Okay.”

“I thought you were delusional for falling fast and hard for Kurt and I admittedly judged you for it. I’m not sure if you felt that judgement, but it was there. I pointed out that we were leaving and I hoped that you wouldn’t consider staying for something ‘silly’ like this. But then I met Rachel.”

Wes’s entire face changes when he says her name.

“I met Rachel and I- I can’t fully describe it, Blaine. How I felt for her. I saw her and it was like everything fell into place, you know?”

Blaine nods. He knows.

“And then I actually started talking to her that day at the loft and when we kissed goodbye I knew it was over for me,” Wes says with a grin, “She’s- she’s everything, Blaine. We just fit. Before I knew her, I only knew her through your stories, and I thought she was a bit, uhm, insane. But now that I know her, I see myself in her. She’s like me. She understands me. She’s passionate and strongminded and yes, maybe it came across as weird, but her doing background checks shows how fiercely she loves her friends and I feel that same love for you.”

“Wes-”

“I admire her headstrongness. I might even love her,” Wes blurts out, “It might be too soon for that, but I- I want to see this unravel. Blaine, I never understood the romantic side of you until I met her. I want to see where this is heading. I want to stay here. I want to take that risk, and I feel kinda stupid for making you feel small for these similar thoughts.”

Wes finishes his speech and he even seems out of breath.

Blaine smiles. Wes is right. He gets it. He hasn’t given staying a lot of thought, since Wes’s comments made him push it away, but now that the request is here, it’s time to make a decision.

And in a split moment, Blaine knows what to do.

“We stay,” Blaine says.

Wes lets out a relieved sigh.

“They’re not going to be happy with that,” Wes points out.

They’re not. The whole point of living on another planet is to gather information that could improve their home planet. It’s a privilege to be sent on this mission, many young aliens dream of it, and Wes and Blaine are going to fail. When Sebastian decided to stay on Pluto, it caused a lot of ruckus and they almost stopped the whole mission programme entirely.

“Fuck them, then,” Blaine eventually says.

“… Yeah,” Wes says, “Yeah. There’s only one thing, though.”

“Hm?”

“Are we going to tell Kurt and Rachel?”
