Stupid Blaine, taking away the one person she considered a true friend. No offense to any of her other Glee club members, but they lacked a certain quality she looked for in a best friend. The quality being that they aren’t Kurt, it’d taken her almost 3 years to finally befriend Kurt, and now her dumbass of a brother was swooping in the ruin the whole thing. This is exactly the reason why she didn’t want the two of them to meet in the first place; she knew Blaine and Kurt better than anyone else did. If she knew that they’d be a perfect pair, then it must be true. Well that and that she has been working on her psychic abilities lately, she knew she had a sixth sense…
“MERCEDES!” She screamed as she stomped up the stairs to her room.
“OH MY GOD! Rachel, stop screeching. What the hell do you want? And where is Kurt?” Mercedes asked while filing her nails.
“Oh Kurt? He left, with Blaine. To go on their date, apparently that’s more important than spending the night with us as we initially planned.”
“What did you say that made him leave?” She questioned
“Why do you assume I did this?!” Rachel asked
“Because you’re you, and you’ll try to stop anything that you don’t like. Girl, you’re a good actress I’ll give you that. But when you faked the excitement over this, it was so obviously untrue.”
“Fine, I may have said a choice few words to Blaine, which Kurt may have overheard.”
“Obviously. Rachel, you’ll have to get over all of this eventually, because I don’t see you getting in the way of this. If they fall in love you better hope that you don’t try to ruin it or so help me, I will cut you.”
Rachel sighed slightly, but nodded. Mercedes didn’t need to know about all of the plans running through her mind to keep Blaine and Kurt apart. No one did, clearly she was the only person who thought this idea was insane.

Alright, how can he put this lightly? Kurt is—no. This is—definitely not. Essentially, Kurt is the most flawless human being to ever grace the earth with his presence, and this has been the best night of Blaine’s life. He’d barely stopped grinning like a doofus all night, and Kurt just… he understood Blaine. He laughed at all of Blaine’s pathetic jokes; he even understood a few of the references that Blaine made to Lord of The Rings, and Harry Potter. Which had shocked him, and he’d told Kurt that, only to have him respond with a cheeky ‘there are many things about me that I’m sure would surprise you.’ Kurt had followed that statement with a wink, and damn if Blaine hadn’t just about died.
The night went incredibly; they’d gotten coffee, and sat in the store until the barista kicked them out due to the fact that the store closed. Neither of them wanted to go back to the Anderson/Berry residence just yet, so Blaine drove them to a park nearby. They’d walked around the pathways six times before sitting on a bench that had been blocked from the snow by a tree. Sitting down, Blaine hastily reached his hand over and grasped Kurt’s in his, he blushed when he felt Kurt squeeze his hand.
“So can I ask you a question?” Kurt said breaking the comfortable silence.
“Of course, the idea was to get to know one another. Although I think that at the moment you know all of the things one would deem important about themselves.”
Kurt laughed slightly and said “If you’re Rachel’s brother, why your last name’s Anderson if hers is Berry?”
Blaine’s eyebrows shot up at the realization that he hadn’t told the other boy. “Oh, I have my biological father’s last name, and Rachel has hers. When our dads were trying to find a surrogate, they found two, and couldn’t decide. Plus they knew that there was always the chance that one of the two would be unsuccessful. But they were pleasantly surprised to get two children out of the deal; Rachel’s younger than me by 3 months.”
Kurt shivered slightly; Blaine noticed and pulled him up off the bench. They walked to the car in silence, Kurt reveling in the feel of Blaine’s warm hand in his. He tried not to show his disappointment when Blaine let go, not that he needed to worry about it, for he was smiling as Blaine opened his door for him. He mumbled thanks, and got into the car. He wasn’t sure that this night could get better, the drive was filled with soft music playing from the radio, and Blaine humming lightly as he drove. They got to the house, and Blaine hopped out of the car to open Kurt’s door once again making Kurt blush. He stepped out of the car and grabbed Blaine’s hand before he thought about what he was doing. Blaine opened the door and the house was dark, except for one small flickering light coming from the stairway, Kurt didn’t know what it was until Blaine murmured something about liking to have candles burning in his room. Kurt giggled slightly, and followed Blaine up the stairs.
“Ca-Can I, I mean, would it be okay, if I came to your room for a bit. I’d rather not listen to Rachel at the moment, and I’m not quite ready to stop spending time with you Blaine Anderson.”
“Y-yeah you can, come to my room. As long as you promise not to make snap judgements when you go in” Blaine said quickly, remembering that his room was practically nerd heaven. He watched the other boy nod slightly before he reached out for his hand, and pulled him up the stairs and into his room.
“Your room smells like apple cinnamon.” Kurt noted.
“It’s the candle; I can put it out if you like. The smell, comforts me I guess, helps me fall asleep.”
“I didn’t say it was a bad thing Blaine.” Kurt smiled, and walked closer to Blaine. Pulling him to sit on the bed with him.
“D-do you want to watch a movie?” Blaine asked sheepishly.
“Do you have Beauty and The Beast?” Blaine’s entire face lit up as he scrambled from the bed to get his DVD.
The two boys laughed and settled at the top of Blaine’s bed, both lying on their backs, watching the television screen intently. The movie finished, and Blaine noticed Kurt’s eyelids drooping, he pulled the blankets up around the two of them, and watched Kurt burrow down into the blankets with a grateful sigh. Blaine moved down the bed, until he was lying comfortably on his side, facing his doorway, and away from Kurt. He didn’t want to accidentally throw an arm around the other boy, and push him into something he wasn’t ready for. They’d been on one date, sleeping in the same bed seemed a little fast to Blaine. But all of his worries were washed away when he felt Kurt snake his hand over his side and grab his hand. Kurt pressed a kiss to the back of Blaine’s head and whispered.
“This was possibly the greatest night of my life Blaine Anderson.”
Blaine smiled and said “Yes, it did go rather swimmingly didn’t it?” As soon as the words left his mouth he was mentally face palming, the last thing he heard before sleep over took him, was the sound of Kurt chuckling into his hair.
