“…..ok that’s enough about me. Tell me more about the Wealthy Bachelor that is Blaine Anderson.”
Kurt sat legs crossed across from Blaine on the luxurious Leather sofa that took up a third of the interior compartment they were in. Blaine sat across from him and could only stare at the Kurt in wonder. How is it that someone as soulless and monstrous as himself, have the fortune to come across the single most beautiful person he had ever seen. Kurt brought back feelings that Blaine hadn’t felt in ages.
“Well there isn’t a whole lot to tell really. Believe it or not I was not born in this Country. I was born in Italy, hence my Italian good looks! Much like everyone in that area I grew up on a vineyard, and when I wasn’t working, I was singing. My mother use to take me into town with her, and while she would get what we needed, I would sing to pass the time. It was actually the first job I ever had; an elderly couple paid me to sing for them.”
Kurt just sat there and listened to all Blaine had to say, but there was something about it that didn’t settle with him. While Blaine’s story was very detailed, it lacked emotion. As if instead of remembering it, he was reading it.
“My family later immigrated to the U.S. and became citizens.”
“Wait, hold on a moment. You were raised as a farmer and now your what, a millionaire? How did you amass so much money for being so young?”
“ Just by luck and few well placed Investments over the years. Anyone can win or lose in the stock market.”
“So now you’re the CEO of a fortune 500 company? How come I’ve never heard of you or seen you before last night?”
“Yes, I am the sole owner of CrissColfer Inter., but I do not run it. I try to stay out of the spotlight as much as possible. In fact, you’re probably one of the few who even know who I am and that I exist.”
Kurt’s mind had been racing to observe all this new information about his host, and no matter how hard it was to believe, deep down Kurt knew it didn’t matter. This man could tell him that he was a penniless hobo and that still wouldn’t change the fact that…..He had fallen in love with a man he had only met 24 hours before.
“Ok Blaine, Can I be honest with you for a second? A please for the love of Liza, hear me out and don’t judge me.”
“Kurt, you can say anything to me. I’ll never judge you, which you have my word on.”
Kurt took a deep breath and tried to calm his nerves…. “Ok look, I know we just met, and I know you don’t know me from John Smith, but I can deny that there is something in me. Something that screams and aches every time I’m around you. You have this hold on me, and the thought of you makes my blood boil. I know there isn’t even a possibility that you could ever return these feelings for me, but I just couldn’t let tonight go on and not tell you how I feel. Blaine Anderson….I think….no, I know… I’ve fallen in love with you.”
As soon as the words had left his mouth he turned his head to stare away from Blaine knowing that rejection was heading his way. He couldn’t help but try to fight back a tear as he prepared for the hurt that would follow. Blaine just sat there for a moment, in awe, not sure on what to say.
Kurt pulled a small hanky out of his pocket and went to dry his eyes when there was suddenly someone grabbing his hand. He stopped and just stared at that hand in his, as if time was standing still. As things started to move in what seemed slow motion, he lifted his head to feel another hand on his face, softly caressing his cheek and wiping away a tear. As he finally looked up he was met with those same hazel eyes staring back at him, the same eyes he knew he could get lost in.
“Shhhhh,” Blaine began in an almost whisper “Kurt…don’t cry…as long as you have me, you’ll never have to shed a tear, except tears of happiness. Your right there isn’t even a possibility…”
Kurt felt his heart began to break, and darkness starting to consume his thoughts.
“.. Saying there was a possibility, would be an understatement. Kurt, from the moment I heard your voice on the street, I was yours. I hadn’t even seen your face yet and I couldn’t help myself but come to you. You’re the most beautiful person I’ve ever met!” Kurt began to sniffle a bit...
“shhh, baby, its ok. You have me, and now I have you. There’s not more you or I... there is only us. “
Before Blaine could go, Kurt had leapt off the sofa and was straddling him in his chair, lips locked to him in the most passionate and love embrace, and either of the two had ever had. Blaine stood up holding Kurt with his legs still wrapped around his waist and carried back over to the sofa. He laid Kurt down on his back as he climbed on top of him, exploring every part of his neck with kisses.
“mhmmm” Kurt let out tiny little gasps and that sent Blaine into frenzy. He loved the sounds coming out of this Man’s mouth, and knowing that he was the cause of them. He reached down and placed a hand on Kurt’s stomach and slowly slid it up Kurt’s body, slightly pinching a nipple as he passed it. Kurt just lay there running his hands over Blaine’s Back, tracing the muscles he could feel outlines as his new partner flexed to hold himself up. There kissing picked up a little haste as Kurt slide his tongue slightly into Blaine’s, testing him, to see his reaction. He was happy to see that Blaine’s tongue to have found its way now into Kurt’s mouth and was slowly caressing his.
“mmm Kurt….is this to fast… should we stop?”
“mmm... I swear….to … OH GOD.” He shouted as he felt Blaine’s hand brush up against the bulge in the front of his slacks.
Blaine stops and cocked a smile to the side looking down at Kurt... “what was that, I’m sorry, I didn’t quite catch it…”
“I swear to god if you stop, I will personally throw you off this plane!” Blaine just smiled, taking his hand and once again caressing Kurt’s chest under his shirt and slowly moving it down over his body.
DING DING
“Mr. Anderson we will be Landing here soon. If you and your guest would be so kind as to buckle up and prepare for descent.”
“You have got to be kidding me! Of all the timing!” Blaine just shook his and picked himself up off Kurt, pausing for a moment to adjust his own growing problem in his pants.
“Well, that wasn’t the kind of descent I had in mind but what can you do right.” Kurt sat up and tried to compose himself. He wanted Blaine… wanted him badly, and now he was going to have to wait for it.
“So, ummm, what does this mean Blaine? “as he gestured to Blaine and himself.
“This means, Kurt Hummel, that you and I are now officially a “we”” Kurt just blushed, he had only ever had one bf before and it didn’t turn out real well.
“I can’t believe someone like you would date a homeless person. It’s almost something out of a fairytale.”
“Oh yea about that, Since your with me now, you will never want for anything, do you understand? You’re not homeless, you’re not poor and most importantly…..you’re not alone.”
“OMG, I guess it pays to fall in love with a rich Man.”
Blaine just smiled even wider “Baby, you have no idea yet what’s in store for you,”
But then a look cross over Blaine’s face and it worried Kurt. It was a look of confusion and concentration. He had seen it many times before when he would try to explain something to his father, Burt.
“Honey what’s wrong?”
“Ok… this has to be done… if you’re going to be with me, then you need the full disclosure. There is a great deal about me you don’t know, and Its time you did. Now, I want you to know that this changes nothing about how I feel about you ok? Remember that. Even though this will be hard for you to believe. Yes I was born in Italy….. in 74BC. I lived on a prosperous vineyard that provided the local areas with wine. These were the Early Days of the Roman Empire.”
Kurt began laughing... “Right so you almost 3000 years old?? Wow You don’t look a day over 2. Ok say I believe you, why aren’t you dead yet If you’re so old, and why do you have the body of a sex god?”
“Look it’s understandable that you don’t……..sex god?” Blaine’s eye brow show up “Really? Cause you know, I’ve never been that fond of my looks and…”
Kurt snapped his fingers a couple times in front of Blaine’s face. “Focus Boy... Focus”
“Oh... sorry. The year I turned 19 I met a man. This man was smart and attractive. I was tired of living on my family’s vineyard and wanted desperate to get away and see the world. He promised me this, in exchange for my company. I was young and Horny so I figured why not. Things got rough, and there was a lot of blood everywhere, and when I awoke a week later after the sun had gone down. I found myself in a cave in the hillside overlooking the city, with a scroll beside me. In it the man explained what he had done to me... and what I should do next.”
“which was?”….
“He had changed me into what he was…. A creature of blood and the night... A Vampire.” Blaine said all this and waited for Kurt’s reply. He knew he would doubt him and that he would have to try and convince the man while at the same time not scare him off.
Kurt’s mind began toying with the ideas of Blaine’s words. As much as it was impossible to believe he knew in the pit of his stomach that it was the truth. He opened his mouth to rebuke these claims and was hit with a sudden wave of flashbacks.
Him lying in the street as Three men beat the shit out of him. He could easily see their face and knew what was going on. Then things changed and they were gone and he was now lying there bleeding to death. He watched as Blaine appeared out of nowhere, he could see his mouth moving but couldn’t hear anything he said. But in watched in shock as Blaine brought his wrist up to his mouth, and then two sharp fangs extend and were buried into his wrist. His remembered Blaine then feeding the blood into his mouth, its warmth, its taste flooding his senses. He felt Blaine pick up him and then that moment of the kiss, and they were gone again.
“Kurt! Say something, your scaring me here” Blaine tried to snap Kurt out of whatever trance he seemed to be in. He prayed that he didn’t send the guy into shock.
“I’m alright Babe. I remember… last night… your blood…you saved me.”
“My blood healed your physical wounds in a matter of moments but your mental ones still remained, which is why I had Sam look after you.”
“I believe you... I don’t know why or how... but I believe you, and I know deep down... you will never hurt me.”
Wow, so my new bf is a vampire... this is rather weird. Calm down Kurt, be cool, it could be worse…. He could be straight! He did save you, and then had Sam look out for you…. Sam? Is Sam a vampire… no he was staring out the window at the sunlight with me… does Sam know then?
“Does Sam know?”
“Yes Sam has always known, he was raised in this kind of life. There are a few of my people out there who know this but not many humans.”
“So are you the only one or are there more of you? Are the superstitions true? Even the one about Blood? Have you ever killed anyone?”
Blaine just laughed at Kurt’s surprising excitement and rapid fire of questions. “ha-ha, calm down there Barbara Walters. No I am not the only one, there are quite a few of us now, I am though in fact one of the oldest and strongest! As for the superstitions, The older the vampire is, the less he has of weaknesses. Over the years we learn to improve on ourselves and move past things. Light itself does not affect us; however the UV radiation in the Sunlight will incinerate our bodies, thus the whole nighttime hiding thing. Hmmm now the issue of Blood and death. Yes unfortunately the part about Blood is true, but like I said the older you are the stronger. I can go two to three weeks without feeding now where as a newborn vampire would have to feed two or three times a week.”
“Oh…. Ok, so what about killing? Do you kill those you feed off of?” The answer to this question was one Kurt knew should bother him, but he felt as if it didn’t matter to him. He loved Blaine even if he was a murderer.
“Over the centuries, I have killed many, some to feed on, others for retribution and some just for the hell of it. But now I don’t unless there’s extenuating circumstances. I can easily feed off one person enough to leave them weakened and fatigued but not do them any harm, something it’s taken me a long time to master. When Vampires are created was full of all our emotions and memories of our human lives before. As we grow, we tend to loose ourselves in time, forgetting our past... loosing what little humanity we have left. It’s very normal to meet a vampire whose 1000 years old and can’t even remember his name or where he came from. I was fortunate enough to meet another young Vampire right after my crossing that was able to teach me a few things, since my sire up and abandoned me. His name was Sebastian. He was about 100 years older than me and had already begun to experience the loss of his past life, so he suggested that if I want to remember. Then I should keep a journal.”
Kurt just looked at Blaine with Amazement. “you mean to tell me there are thousands of Journals somewhere that have your life’s story in them?”
“Mostly, yes. Although Over the years I’ve lost about 2/3 of them to war and pillaging.”
“that explains a lot now” he said as recognition flashed in his eyes. This answered his question from before.
“Before when you were telling about where you’re from, it seemed as if there was no emotion in the memories, like you were reading them. It’s because you don’t really remember do you; you only know what you’ve written in your journals.”
“Your right, somewhere around the Dark Ages I lost my Humanity all together and was a brutal bloodthirsty monster. It doesn’t please me to say, that I enjoyed killing just for the fun of it. Something to pass the time.”
Kurt wasn’t sure how to take this end. Here beside him was… for lack of a better word, a Monster. Yet he wasn’t afraid or terrified, just curious.
“I currently have my people tracking down missing Journals as we speak. We’ve come across a few leads over the years and I’ve been able to recover some but I’d like them all back.” Kurt sensed the edge in his voice in this comment. There was something else going on and he was going to find out what.
“ok Spill it! You’re not telling me everything, I though you said full Disclosure?” Kurt spat out sarcastically.
“Your right I did didn’t I. There is another reason I’m so interested in my journals. I promised myself that I would never forget my family, my parents, my brother….. over the years I kept tabs on them and there descendants. Now I have no memory of what became of my bloodline. I’m hoping that my journals will help me able to track down the descendent of my bloodline today… so I can repay the kindness my family once gave me so often to their children’s children. I had been alone for so long that I was hoping this would bring me some sort of purpose in life, a way to keep my humanity with me.”
“You have me now Blaine, I’m not going anywhere, and I promise you that I’ll help you find your relatives. Just let me know what I need to do to help.”
The bumped up and down a moment as the Plane touched down on the runway. As they came to stop both stood up and exited towards the front side door. Kurt climbed down the steps to a huge empty runway and began looking around wondering where they were. “Blaine darling, Where on earth have you taken me?”
“Welcome my friend, to The Big Easy.” Blaine said with a smile.
“New Orleans? You brought me to New Orleans?”
“I thought you would enjoy the place plus I have a little bit of business to tend to while I’m here. Ah, looks like our ride is here.”
A Black limousine came around the corner and stopped about twenty feet from them. The driver climbed out of the car and gestured for them to come around where he opened the door for them. Both of the young men climbed into the back of the car and settled in before Kurt realized they were not in there alone. Sitting across from him was a beautiful woman in a business suit.
“Ah, Kurt, this is my Southern Regional Manager and personal friend, Mercedes.”
Mercedes just sat there looking down a file in her hands, before acknowledging that she wasn’t alone anymore.
“Blaine… good to see you.” She glanced at Kurt and then pursed her lips together... “You always did like the pretty ones. Hello Kurt, My Name is Mercedes. Welcome to Nawlins! Blaine I just got off the phone with Sam, they’ve located another package in Ohio, and should have it recovered by morning.”
“Wonderful! Who’s the operative? Oh Kurt has full Disclosure so no need to beat around the bush.”
“Santana and Brittney I believe. Sam’s providing back up. Once the package is recovered, I have a plane standing by to bring them here.”
“Thank you Mercedes, Have the driver take us to Oak Ally Plantation. When the others arrive allow them to rest and have everyone come to the plantation tomorrow night. I plan on having a little party of sorts, so I’ll leave it to you to invite the guest.”
“Very well, will that that be the guest from the White list …. Or the red” She swallowed a bit at saying this. The thought of having a Red party scared her to death, and for good reason.
Kurt sat there and just listened as they discussed business in a usual manner. He was excited about seeing his very first Plantation. The decadence of the South had always fascinated him.
“Unfortunately Mercedes, with all that’s happened here lately with the Council, Its going to have to be The Red List.”
“Very Well then, I’ll handle the arrangements.”
Kurt leaned in to Blaine’s ear, he was embarrassed to let on his was lost in the conversation. “What’s the Red List?”
“It’s the list of my vampire contacts. There have been a few law changes in our world and It’s my duty as Council member to pass it down the line in my jurisdiction.”
“Jurisdiction? Like a cop??” Now he was even more confused.
“There are only four members on the Council, each of us reigns over certain parts of the world. It’s our responsibility to make sure all those within our areas follow the law, and not put our existence in jeopardy. I reign over North American and Europe. Cooper has Australia and South America. He’s a pretty level headed if not self-centered and vain creature. Tine reigns over Asia and Africa… she’s something else entirely, and Lastly leaves Sue. Sue is the oldest member of the council; you have me beat by 47 years. She reigns over Antarctica.”
“Antarctica? Wow she must have a lot of free time on her hands.” Kurt giggled thinking about a vampire surrounded my snow and penguins.
“Actually Kurt, Antarctica is the most heavily dense populated area of our kind. Because of the Cold, Humans avoid it so it’s been real easy for us to thrive there.”
“oh, that makes sense now that I think it over. Hmmm, so how far are we away from this plantation.”
“Why? What you in such a hurry for? Hmmm” Blaine looked at him curiously. No matter what he could see that he could never tire of staring into his lovers eyes and being next to him.
Kurt began blushing furiously, and turned to stare away from everyone… “well... I was… kind of hoping…” He tilted his head up to look Blaine in the eyes. Blaine loved that look and even more so now cause Kurt was chewing on his bottom lip a bit… “hoping that we could maybe…. Finish what we started on the plane”.
The Recognition of these words hit Blaine like a truck and instantly send him member hard as a rock… so he started shouting.
“DRIVER!!! IF you can get us there in twenty, you can count yourself in for a huge tip… how’s a grand sound.”
Tires began to spin out as the Limo took off down the highway to what the lovers assumed would be a night of overdue passion….
