"Wake up ya pansies! Come on wake up!" A voice boomed through the morning silence.

"Uggggggh," they heard Puck groan. "What is that?"

"I think it's the devil," Blaine frowned. The others laughed. All except Finn.

"Finn? Fffffiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnnn?" Puck leaned over his top bunk and poked Finn.

"Nnnnngh," Finn moaned, wiggling away from Puck's finger.

Puck laughed and jumped down to Finn's bed, shaking him violently. "WAKE UP."

"Ugh! Can you guys keep quiet----?" Finn moaned.

"I SAID IT'S WAKE UP TIME!" the voice boomed louder. Mr. Schue walked in, warning the boys.

"Better wake up and get dress. Ms. Sylvester doesn't like to be kept waiting," he joked. The boys groaned and started to get dressed.

"Um Artie? Do you need help?" Kurt offered.

Puck snorted. "That's gross."

"What is?" Kurt said.

"Helping another boy get dressed."

"What? No! I was just trying to h-help!"

"Thanks Kurt, but I got it," Artie said, grabbing his clothes and rolling to the bathroom.

The others changed using the beds as privacy curtians, stomachs growling with promises of breakfast.

"I'm so hungry I can eat one of you guys right now," Finn whined, giving a laugh.

"Well I'm too skinny to eat," Kurt pointed out.

"And you'll just get hungry again after you eat me," Mike added. The boys laughed again.

Finding the eatting hall, the gang grabbed plates of food and sat down at a table.

"Kurt!" Kurt turned around, spotting Mercedes, along with Tina and Rachel, prancing over to him. "Hey guys~!"

The boys echoed an 'hello' back to them, introducing each other all over again.

"Oh my God I can't wait til we start! I don't know what to sing or dance or..." Rachel rambled on. The others just tuned her out, it was way too early in the morning to bother with.

"So didya guys meet Ms. Sylvester yet?" Tina asked.

"The mon---" Puck started.

"No!" Tina, Mercedes, and Rachel shouted.

"If she hears you insult her she might just kill you. With cheerios. And pom-poms," Tina said.

Blaine's eyes went wide and looked around. He saw two other women besides Ms. Pillsbury. "They both look scary," he shuddered.

"The blonde one is Ms. Sylvester," Merceds pointed out. "The other one is Coach Beiste. She's ... Nicer."

"Still scary," Puck said, with a mouthful of waffles.

"She sounds ... pleasant," Wes laughed.

"Oh God you have no idea!" Blaine groaned.

"Hey! You had to deal with her for a summer. I had the last of two and half years of her!" Kurt laughed.

"How is she a teacher..." David asked.

"Techinically she's a coach ..." Blaine gave a half hearted chuckle and a shrug.

"She's the devil in colorful jumpsuits," Kurt pointed out.

The kids was sitting around Mr. Schue as he held his guitar. "Alright who's up with some singin'?" There was silence thrown back at him. "C'mon guys, this is Glee Camp!" He chuckled. "Where's your energy?"

"In my bed," Blaine whispered to Kurt. Kurt had to giggle, shoving him lightly.

"Look I know it's early. But would you rather be in my group singing or in Coach Sylvester group running laps around the lake?" Mr. Schue asked. Everyone snapped to him, their full attention on him. Mr. Schue laughed, "I thought so. Now c'mon gimme some songs."

Some kids throw out some songs from all over, some new and hip from boy bands, others calling out showtunes.

Mr. Schue grinned, strumming his guitar to each of the random tunes that were shouted out to him. The kids sang along, now that the sleepiness went away, they were more enthusiastic about it.

"Get away from thekitchens!" Ms. Sylvester's voice boomed over her megaphone. "You think you're hungry now try being held captive in Guam with only rice to eat!"

"That doesn't make any sense..." Puck whispered to the gang.

"Where's Guam?" Finn asked. Everyone just shrugged. Ms. Sylvester voice continued to boom.

"Will!" She said, megaphone facing him. "I can use the grease off of your hair and butter my waffles with it," she lowered the megaphone. "You can't except these kids to sit here all day singing Goombaya."

"It's part of the program of this camp---" Mr. Schue scrowled.

"Oh please. If they wanted to sing they could of sat home and watch Disney movies," Ms. Sylvester.

"Sometimes I wonder why you signed up for this," Mr. Schue muttered.

"Because I like to mock your hair ALRIGHT," she turned herself to the group of kids. "Get going to the lake and go swimming or something!" The group groaned back to her. "I said get!" They all scrambled up and ran to the lake.

"Oh god she's going to kill us!" Mike groaned as he pushed Artie.

"At least you guys have Mr. Schue and Ms. Beiste. Between Ms. Sylvester yelling at us and Ms. Pillsbury craziness, it's going to be a long summer for us girls!" Rachel frowned.

At the lake Kurt stayed back as the others, excluding Artie, jumped in.

"What's wrong?" Blaine asked.

"I'm wearing my clothes!"

"So?" he asked as Kurt got looks from the others.

"I don't want to get them wet," he frowned. He shuffled his feet uncomfortably.

"It's cool, I can't go in either," Artie said. Kurt nodded and sat down on the ground next to Artie's chair, watching the others play in the water.

"Hey lady what's wrong scared of the water?" Kurt groaned as he heard Karofsky snickered.

"Ignore him," Artie whispered. Kurt just nodded, chewing on his bottom lip.

"Huh?" Karofsky grabbed Kurt's shoulder and shook it. Kurt tried to shrug it off.

"Hey! Leave him alone," Artie gave Karofsky an angry look.

"Or what you're going to run me over?" Karofsky sneered.

"Ya know what---!" Artie threw his hands on his wheels.

"Hey! What are you three doing here?" the other woman teacher, they assumed was Coach Beiste.

"Nothing!" Karofsky said. "Artie was about to run me over!"

"He was picking on Kurt!"

"Was not!"

"Was too!" Blaine chimed in, with the others nodding. Coach Beiste took Karofsky by the arm and led him to a table, instructing him not to move from it. Kurt squirmed in his seat and mumbled a thanks to the others.

"Hey kids!" Mr. Schue appeared. "I thought we might as well give ya these now..."

"Give us what?" Kurt implored.

"We asked your parents to write you letters for your first day here," Ms. Pillsbury appeared with a mail bag. "To make it easier to be here," she ended with a tight smile.

Blaine, Puck, Mike, and Artie rolled their eyes, the idea of their parents babying them is quite annoying. The girls just shrugged it off. Obviously the little ladies of their families knew this is how it went. Kurt, along with Finn however, looked up, feeling a sense of understanding for their parents. Just them and their parent at home. Kurt mentally slapped himself. How could he have left his father home? He felt guilty, and Finn's pinched up face said he felt the same, a very uncomforting thought.

Mr. Schue and Ms. Pillsbury started to hand out the letters as a line forms in front of the two. Standing behind Blaine, Kurt frowned. Everyone here was getting a letter signed 'Mom and Dad'. His will just have 'Dad' on it, in sloppy print. He loved his dad, a lot, but he couldn't lose the hole inside his heart when others had their moms.

"Here ya go Kurt," Mr. Schue handed him his letter. Kurt took the envelope and walked over by the lake. He placed his thumb under the fold and opened it up.

"Hey!" Kurt shrieked as the letter was tore from his hand. Karofsky sneered, raising the letter above Kurt's head.

" 'Love Dad'," he snickered. "What's wrong your mom doesn't love you? Is it cause you're a girly? Is that why she won't write?" he teased, dangling the letter above Kurt's head.

"Give it back!" Kurt cried, reaching for it. Karofsky pushed Kurt, causing him to fumble into the lake, soaking his clothes and getting him a big muddy. Kurt sniffled and glared up at Karofsky, still sitting in the muddy water, clothes getting ruined by the second.

"You want it back?" Karofsky smirked. Kurt nodded furiously. "Too bad!" He ripped the letter into many pieces, tossing them.

"No!" Kurt shouted, eyes filling with tears.

"Hey! What's going on!" Kurt heard Mercedes run towards them, with the rest of the gang in tow.

"None ya business!" Karofsky huffed.

"Kurt you okay?" Tina said, as she and Rachel walked over, helping him up. "Oh your clothes," she frowned. The other boys shuffled their feet with Mike, Puck, and Finn eyeing Karofsky. Kurt nodded, wiping his nose on his sleeve and his eyes with his hands.

"What happened?" Mike inquired, glaring at Karofsky.

"All I said it's sad his mom doesn't write him!" Karofsky said defensively.

"She didn't write because she's dead!" Kurt shouted, getting up and running to his cabin. There, he jumped in his bed, grabbing his Chewbaca backpack and pulled out a scruffy stuffed dog. He hugged it tight.

"You sure you want him Kurt?" she asks.

I nod and grin. "Yup! He's so cute!" I hug the stuffed dog tight, the grin not vanishing from my face one itty bitty bit. She smiles back at me and pays for it, and I grab her hand and we walk out of the store. The stuffed puppy a reward for behaving so well at the doctors, even though I had to get a shot.

"Race ya!" I run ahead and laugh. She laughs along, walking behind. I reach the corner and turn around. I'm not allowed to go pass a corner until she gets here. "Hurry up Momma!" I call back. She laughs again and I turn around, looking around the corner. I'm looking and I don't see the cars. But I hear the sound of metal screaming and crying, and I har my Momma screaming and crying and I turn around but she's not where she was. Instead she's not there just a car and a van and a jeep. "Momma!" I run to the cars but someone grabs me before I can reach and I'm crying and crying and screaming and nothing's happening.....

"Kurt?" Blaine, Wes, and David asked as Kurt trailed off, staring into space. His face is blank and he looked as if he was going to faint.

"If ...If I just went back and pulled her with me she would be here. Or if I just stayed with her I could have pushed her out of the way ..." he mumbled.

"Kurt you were eight..." Blaine said, trying to comfort his friend. But Kurt just shook his head. "Kurt?"

"I-I can't ... I got to go .." Kurt slid off the bed and went to the door. "I''m finished for today, I...I can't." He shook his head, leaving the room and running to his own.
