“Is it okay if I ask about your relationship status. Kurt told me that you got out of a bad one a few months ago,” Annabelle said.
“Uh, yeah. I did. We met in college and we got together. We were really close and I wanted to do everything with her but she decided to cheat on me. I broke up with her and haven't heard from her since. She's with that guy now though. I'm over it honestly,” Blaine said.
“I'm sorry about that. I was with a guy for about a year and then he broke up with me because he wanted my one friend instead of me,” she said. Blaine nodded and sighed.
“Have you dated since?” Blaine asked.
“No. I was just sick of guys by that time and let it go and focused on school. I took this semester off to come back here. You?” she said.
“I've been...single since. I asked one girl out but she had no interest. I've been looking since. I work too much and just thought it might be better to let it go for now. I'm open to dating but they need to understand my job comes first,” Blaine said.
“Completely understandable. You seem like a very well rounded person. You focus on you and your job above all else and I like that,” she said. Blaine blushed and looked down.
“Thank you...?” he said.
“I'm sorry. I didn't mean it like that. I'm no good at this,” Annabelle said smiling.
“Neither am I,” Blaine said. If only she knew how clueless he was to flirting. He laughed at the memory of him and Kurt when they were younger. He looked back up into her grey blue eyes. She looked like Kurt, with the chestnut brown hair and the eyes, but her eyes were different. There wasn't that light to them like Kurt's. She was the opposite of him. Her smile was bright and infectious though like her brothers. He sat back and sighed.
“I'm really glad you and Kurt are friends. Even after high school you two keep in contact.”
“Always have. Always will,” Blaine replied.
“You two seem really different from eachother though. You're humble and quiet compared to him. My dad didn't lie when he said that he took after our mom. He looks just like her,” Annabelle said.
“He does and he's got her heart too. He cares for everybody, even when he shouldn't,” Blaine said. He looked over at her and she just smiled.
“You teach English at Dalton?”
“Yes. I just got the job last year. It's a good job and the pay is good so I have no complaints. What are you majoring in?”
“Pre-Law. I want to be a lawyer. I didn't know what I really wanted to do but I'm going between family law or to be a prosecutor,” she replied with a smile and seemed very eager to talk about her future career.
“Good luck. It's going to be hard. I hope everything works out for you.”
“Thanks,” she said putting her drink down and looking over at him.
“I know this is going to be very forward but would you like to go get lunch with me one day?”
“It's forward, yes, but...sure...that would be nice. Let me take you somewhere else though. I always go for coffee at The Lima Bean. Why don't you join me there instead?”
“Sure. I'd like to go there,” she said.
“Perfect,” he said smiling. He got up and looked down at her.
“I really should get going though. I have to drive back to Westerville also. How about tomorrow around one we meet at The Lima Bean? It's Saturday so I have the whole day to myself and we can have some time together,” Blaine said.
“Sounds good,” she replied back to him. He said goodbye to Burt and Carole and then her. He got in his car and started towards his house with Kurt. He was in trouble with Kurt.
“She what?!” Kurt asked.
“She asked me out for lunch. I suggested we just go to The Lima Bean and she agreed. She was giving me those looks all night,” Blaine said.
“This is not what was supposed to happen! What do we do now?”
“I won't let it go far. I promise. I'll just say how busy I am with work and try to see of she'll lay off. I don't think she's going to get attached to me but I don't know honestly,” Blaine said. He changed his shirt for bed and looked at Kurt. He was sitting in the one chair across from the bed. He looked so torn and Blaine felt awful for it.
“She likes you. Why? What did I do to deserve this?” Kurt asked.
“I don't know why she does. She said she thinks I'm a good person because I focus on me and my job and not other people,” Blaine said.
“Great...play all innocent and sweet so she can fall for you. As soon as she does you tell her no,” Kurt said. Blaine ran his hand through his now loose curls. He knew this was going to happen. He got his reading glasses out and put them on. He grabbed a book from his shelf to read and laid down in their bed.
“Tell her the truth then,” Blaine said.
“No. Blaine, I can't! I just got to meet her tonight and I'm not going to lose her now,” Kurt said standing up. Blaine closed his book and put it down. He got up and walked over to him and put his arms around Kurt's waist.
“Did I ever tell you how adorable you look in your reading glasses?” Kurt said with a slight smile. Blaine giggled and kissed him gently.
“If she says she's falling for me...we tell her. You know I won't reciprocate those feelings for her and I don't want to hurt her. So I think by that point it'd be best to just tell her at that point,” Blaine said.
“I guess,” Kurt said putting his arms around Blaine and laid his head on his shoulder. Blaine kissed the top of his head and held him tightly.
“I know you want to know her. I'm okay playing this game but I hate it because I can't do anything with you while she's there.”
“I know. I hate it too. I just wanted to go over and sit with you and hold you until I realized I couldn't and that hurt so much,” Kurt said. Kurt shifted in his arms and pulled away. Blaine looked into his eyes and sighed.
“I'm sorry you have to do this,” Kurt said.
“It's okay. I know why you're doing it and I'll do it just for you,” Blaine said. He placed a light kiss to Kurt's lips. Kurt smiled up at him and returned the kiss.
“Thank you,” Kurt said.
“You're welcome,” Blaine said kissing Kurt again but more fervently.

Alright this was better not as rushed as the last chapter. I'm looking forward to where you take the blaine and annabelle relationship. The only thing I would say is mention directly that annabelle is a homophobe don't just imply it or say 'wont like my life style.' I don't know maybe it comes up. Ill just read on.
Thank you! Glad you like it!
Haha poor boys but I think Blaine is right Kurt should just be honest with he, but I am excited to see where this goes. You have became one of my favorite writers and I will be reading alot more of your stories :)
