“Okay...a few weeks ago I met this really nice guy. He was amazing. We started meeting up for lunch and coffee,” she said. Kurt did not like the sound of this.

“Later on he told me he had somebody else...” she said sadly. Kurt really did not like where this was going. He felt his throat close and he waited for the worst.

“He said he was going to break up with her though. He did and he started seeing me. We've been together whenever I'm not with you guys. His name is Ryan Carter. He's a sweetheart,” she said. Kurt let a breath out he didn't know he was holding.

“Where did you meet him?” Kurt asked.

“The Lima Bean. He asked to sit with me. He said I looked lonely,” she said laughing.

“Blaine had just left. I guess he thought we were together and thought he could steal me,” she said. Kurt looked down and then at Blaine.

“Wow...” he said. She laughed and looked at him.

“I told him I'm single and he said he wasn't but he didn't know what to do. He said the girl was cheating and asked me for advice. I told him to let her go. Next thing I know we were meeting up everyday for lunch. He asked me out on a formal date and we hit it off,” she said.

“How old is he?” Kurt asked. Blaine looked up at him surprised.

“He's 27 Kurt.”

“Anna! He's quite a few years older than you...you're still in college! Put that first,” Kurt said.

“I agree. Don't jump right in because you get along now,” Blaine said.

“Guys stop it! I know what I'm doing,” she said.

“Have you guys had a disagreement yet?” Blaine asked.

“Once...he didn't call me for two days. He was angry,” she said.

“What happened?” Kurt asked.

“He saw me with Blaine again...he thought I was cheating. I said no that Blaine was gay and with my brother,” she said. Kurt sighed and put his head in his hands. Why was this his life?

“What was his reply?” Blaine asked worried.

“He said okay and we started talking after that again and haven't fought since,” she said.

“You met him right after me and Blaine came out to you?” Kurt asked.

“Yeah...about two weeks after,” she said. Kurt nodded and finished the last of his rice. Blaine did the same and looked down.

“Anna...I'm not trying to control you or do anything of that nature...but please be careful. Don't let him take over your life because he's older and “knows” what he's doing. Tell him to take things at your pace and if he doesn't understand that then you tell him you don't want to be with him,” Blaine said.

“I know Blaine! I know. I already talked to him about this. How I'm in college and that school and my family comes above all else,” she replied. Kurt nodded and looked at the TV. The long forgotten Mamma Mia! Movie was still on their TV.

“Please Anna just be careful. Think before you do anything. You're young and don't need a relationship already,” Kurt said.

“You weren't saying that when Blaine and me got together,” Anna said. Kurt winced hurt by her words.

“You and him are closer in age and he's my closest friend so whatever makes him happy I'd do it. Sadly, at that time I had to think he was straight until I got him to our house. I couldn't say no! It hurt me so much to say yes go ahead...date my best friend and fiance,” Kurt retaliated.

“It's not my fault you were hiding behind a mask or Rachel! You can't dictate my life now Kurt and who I'm with,” she said.

“You're just trying to replace Blaine because you still want him!” Kurt said. He put his hands to his mouth as soon as the words left it. He saw Blaine get up and come over to him. He turned around and put his arms around Blaine and his head on his shoulder.

“Why don't we call it a night and cool off,” Blaine said. Annabelle nodded and turned the TV off and ran upstairs. Blaine's arms wrapped around him and he felt kisses all over his face.

“Once again I screwed up with her. I really need to learn to stop talking without thinking,” Kurt said.

“You both got in each others faces and she shouldn't have started it,” Blaine said. Kurt nodded and sighed. He felt the hot tears pouring down his face. Blaine led him upstairs and saw Annabelle standing at the top.

“Kurt...I'm so sorry...I was way out of line...” she said.

“I was out of line too and I'm sorry but seriously...let's just call it a night. We head home in a few days. Let's just enjoy it,” Kurt said. They went to their bedroom and laid down together. Kurt was curled up into Blaine and had his shirt in his hand. Kurt had his face right against his chest and soon fell asleep a bit more content.
