Author's Notes: Sorry this chapter is later than normal. School started back up and I just haven't felt up to writing lately. Here ya go for now! Don't know when the next update will be though. Maybe tomorrow. Thanks for reading! :)
Kurt was holding onto Annabelle as Blaine held Ryan in a choke hold.
“Why did you come back?” Kurt asked feeling anger welling up in him. Ryan glared at him and elbowed Blaine in the stomach. Blaine let him and grabbed his stomach and Ryan turned around and hit him. Kurt moved Annabelle over to the corner and went back over to Blaine and Ryan. Blaine had started hitting Ryan again and Ryan was backed against the wall.
“Why would you come here? You're not welcome here anymore,” Blaine said.
“Let's see if that's how Annabelle feels,” Ryan said. He turned around to see Kurt behind him. Kurt could smell the alcohol coming off of his breath. This guy wasn't drunk but he had been drinking.
“I want you no where near my sister and if you know what's good for you, you would leave now and never come back,” Kurt said. Ryan was glaring at him and Kurt looked back at Blaine. Blaine had a black and blue eye forming and his nose was bleeding. Ryan shoved Kurt away and Kurt pushed him back and Blaine grabbed him again.
“Get out,” Blaine said menacingly. Ryan got loose and swung out at Kurt. Kurt tried to dodge but felt Ryan's fist connect with his face. Pain flared up his face. Thankfully it wasn't his eye that would bruise. That was when Blaine lost it. Blaine shoved Ryan into the wall and punched him once more times.
“Get out...get out and I'll let you live. Don't ever come back,” he hissed at him. Ryan glared at both of them and pushed Blaine away. Kurt grabbed Blaine's arm and watched Ryan go. Blaine looked back at him and pulled Kurt into a hug. Kurt put his arms around him and held onto him. Kurt pulled away after a minute and turned around to see Annabelle behind him. She reached a hand up to his face and placed it gently on his cheek. He took her into his arms and held onto her tightly.
“Why didn't you tell us he was like this?” Kurt asked.
“I was afraid...he threatened me Kurt,” she said. Kurt pulled away when she started to and she hugged Blaine. Blaine looked awful. The blood was starting to dry on his face and Kurt could see the bruise on his face forming.
“Go wash your face...I'll take care of Anna,” Kurt said. Kurt got a wet rag and started to wipe the blood away from her lip.
“Are you okay?”
“I don't know...I'm just scared right now,” she said.
“I know. It'll be okay though and we're here for you if you ever need us,” Kurt said. A few minutes later Blaine came in sat by him. He took Annabelle into his arms and sighed.
“If he ever comes near you again you let me know,” Blaine said. She nodded into his shoulder and sighed.
“Better yet, get a restraining order against him and have him put away. It's better in the long run,” Kurt said.
“Has he done this before?” Blaine asked. She pulled away from him and sat back.
“Once...in front of friends. He got violent. Mainly yelling and Sebastian...he came over and got him out of my face and brought me home,” she said. Kurt was surprised but realized he needed to thank Sebastian for something.
“Anna why don't you come home with us for the night? It might be better if you do,” Blaine suggested. Kurt nodded and got her up.
“Grab some clothes for the next few days and stay with us,” Kurt said. She got up and went down the hall.
“Why don't you head on out? I'll take her and you can get home sooner,” Kurt said.
“Are you sure?”
“Yeah. I'm positive. I want to talk to her anyway,” Kurt said. Blaine nodded and kissed the unbruised side of his face and left. Kurt sighed and waited for Annabelle. When she came down they left and locked the door. Kurt put her bags in the trunk of his Camry and got in. He started the car and drove out to the highway. He got on and put the music on low.
“Thank you Kurt...you and Blaine didn't have to do anything for me,” she said. Kurt reached over and took her hand.
“You're my little sister and Blaine's new little sister which means we're here for you and we will protect you,” Kurt said smiling.
“Thank you so much,” she said. Kurt smiled and continued driving. He finally asked her what he had wanted to for the past week.
“Anna...can I ask you something?” he said. She looked at him a little worried.
“Sure...”
“Me and Blaine are doing a very simple wedding but I want some of the usual. I want you to be a part of our wedding party. You know...sort of like the maid of honor...so what do you say?” Kurt said. He heard a tiny gasp and looked to see her smiling.
“I'd love to be!” she said. He looked over to see happiness written all over her face and smiled. When they got to his house she showered and changed and went to bed. Kurt went upstairs to see Blaine was laying down already. He changed into sweatpants and one of Blaine's old tees and laid down by him. Blaine was staring up at the ceiling and looked at him after a minute.
“You okay?” Kurt asked.
“Yeah. Just glad I have you,” Blaine said smiling. Kurt smiled and put an arm around Blaine's stomach and his head on his shoulder.
“Thank you,” Kurt said.
“For?” Blaine asked.
“Not being like Ryan. For loving me and being there for me and never, ever hurting me. Yeah we fight but it's never like what he does,” Kurt said. He felt a hand cup his cheek as he started crying. He looked up at Blaine who was looking at him with only love in his eyes.
“I would never, ever do that to you. Don't you ever worry. And, thank you too...for only loving me,” Blaine said. Kurt smiled and they kissed.
“Did she say yes?” Blaine asked.
“Of course,” Kurt said smiling. They lay wrapped up together and soon fell asleep smiling.
