Kurt and Blaine were seated at a booth in the corner of the diner and waited for Annabelle. She had told Kurt for him and Blaine to meet her there for a surprise. Kurt didn't know what was going on but he wanted to know. When Blaine had come home the other night he had told Kurt about the bruise on her arm. Nobody was hurting his little sister like Blaine thought. He was thinking about it too much and Kurt had told him to stop it.
“Kurt...what if she's bringing Ryan?” Blaine asked.
“Then fine. I want to meet him already,” Kurt said. Blaine just shrugged and looked away.
“Blaine...he's not hurting her! Stop it,” Kurt said annoyed with him. Blaine took his hand and looked at him apologetically. After both ordering a coffee Annabelle was brought over with a tall guy behind her. Kurt stood up to meet him. Ryan was about Kurt's height and had dark brown hair and hazel eyes. They were nothing like Blaine's and Kurt cringed. They shook hands and Kurt smiled.
“Hi. It's nice to finally meet you. I'm Kurt and this is my fiance Blaine,” Kurt said. Blaine leaned over and shook Ryan's hand smiling lightly. They all sat down and Annabelle ordered a coffee for the both of them. Blaine took his hand under the table and squeezed it tightly. Kurt kicked him under the table.
“Ow,” Blaine muttered.
“Oops..sorry babe,” Kurt said. Annabelle was giving them curious glances and looked at Ryan.
“So...how's everything between you two?” Kurt asked.
“Perfect,” Annabelle said. Ryan nodded and looked at Kurt and Blaine.
“She never said you were...gay,” Ryan said.
“Oh...I hope that's not a problem...” Blaine said coolly. Kurt glared over at him.
“No not at all. I just wasn't expecting it,” Ryan said. Kurt looked down at his coffee and sighed.
“Are you okay Anna?” Blaine asked. She looked up at him from her coffee.
“Yeah I am. I just didn't get a lot of sleep last night,” she said. Blaine looked over at him and he glared back at him.
“You're hopeless,” Kurt said to him.
“What is up with you two?” she asked.
“He's been a pain in the ass all day,” Kurt replied. She laughed at them and then turned to Ryan. The waitress came over so they all ordered something to eat.
“You keep hurting yourself don't you? You're such a klutz,” Blaine said.
“I fell last night while I was drunk...” she said laughing lightly. Blaine looked at her curiously and then to Ryan.
“We went out last night and she had a few drinks and when we walked in she hit the table in the hall,” Ryan said. Blaine nodded and looked out of the window. Kurt looked over at her arm and saw it. He hated the look of it and looked up at Ryan. Ryan would never do anything to hurt his little sister...would he? Kurt shook his head to get the thoughts out. Blaine was over reacting and needed to make sure Blaine stopped it.
When him and Blaine were in their car Kurt glared daggers at him.
“You need to stop it. Ryan is not hurting her. Anna loves her new freedom of drinking and she's probably a klutz. She's wild and does stupid things,” Kurt said.
“I just don't like him,” Blaine said.
“Why not? He didn't do anything to make us not like him,” Kurt said.
“It's his eyes...he looks...cold...” Blaine said.
“Well they may not be like yours but he's not a bad guy. From what we were all talking about he's a nice guy and has good humor,” Kurt said. Blaine sighed and sat back against the seat.
“I'm sorry...I guess I'm just...”
“Protective?”
“Yeah...that,” Blaine said embarrassed.
“I think it's amazing...that you care that much for her...but don't think he's hurting her. You're over reacting,” Kurt said.
“I guess I am...” he replied. Kurt took Blaine's hand and drove them back to their house to spend the night in with movies and pizza.
End Notes: hmm...no more updates for now. Maybe one last update tomorrow and then it may be while before I manage to get a chapter up since I start college again Wednesday. :)
