Blaine and Kurt were holding hands while they waited for their luggage. Annabelle was waiting for hers too. When it came around Blaine grabbed the bag and gave Kurt the car keys. They made their way out to Blaine's Aspen and got the bags in. Blaine went to the drivers door and got in. He got the car started and put the air conditioning on. The was unbearably hot.

“Okay...let's get the kid, drop her off there too, and head home,” Blaine said. Kurt snickered at him and kissed his cheek. The past week had flown by so fast. The last day of being away Kurt and Blaine spent the day inside together in their room. They wouldn't get much time like that and Annabelle left for the day so they were all alone. Blaine wouldn't have had it anyway. The ride back was filled with music from Blaine's iPod. Blaine was singing along to the song and looking at Kurt smiling.

“I like your smile, I like your vibe, I like your style, but that's not why I love you,” Blaine started.

“And I, I like the way you're such a star, but that's not why I love you,” Blaine said smiling at his one and only star. Kurt mocked being hurt by that line and laughed.

“Hey, do you feel? Do you feel me? Do you feel what I feel too? Do you need? Do you need me? Do you need me?” Blaine sang to Kurt knowing what his answer would be anyway.

“You're so beautiful, but that's not why I love you. I'm not sure you know that the reason I love you is you being you, just you, yeah, the reason I love you is all that we've been through and that's why I love you,” Blaine sang to Kurt. Kurt had always been there for him and they had been through so much and he always thanked Kurt for what he did for him.

“I like the way, you misbehave when we get wasted, but that's not why I love you. And how you keep your cool when I am complicated but that's not why I love you,” Kurt sang to him. Blaine loved him no matter how complicated he got. He was just as complicated, if not more complicated, than Kurt.

“Hey, do you feel? Do you feel me? Do you feel what I feel too? Do you need? Do you need me? Do you need me?” Kurt sang taking Blaine's hand.

“You're so beautiful, but that's not why I love you. I'm not sure you know that the reason I love you is you being you, just you, yeah, the reason I love you is all that we've been through and that's why I love you,” Kurt sang the chorus so nicely. Blaine looked over to see Kurt's eyes were watery. He smiled at him and chuckled.

“Even though we didn't make it through, I am always here for you, you,” Blaine sang into his rear view mirror looking at Annabelle. She returned his smile and nodded.

“You're so beautiful, but that's not why I love you. I'm not sure you know that the reason I love you is you being you, just you, yeah, the reason I love you is all that we've been through and that's why I love you,” Blaine and Kurt sang together blending perfectly like they usually did.

“That's why I love you,” Blaine sang.

“That's why I love you,” Kurt finished. Kurt leaned over to him and kissed his cheek and he smiled. After singing the whole Goodbye Lullaby CD they pulled into Kurt's parents driveway. They got out and Blaine got Annabelle's suitcase out of the car. She opened the trunk on her car and he put it in for her.

“Thanks Blaine,” she said smiling. He nodded and turned around to see Kurt coming over to him with an over excited Samson with him on his leash. Blaine knelt down and took Samson in his arms.

“I missed you bud!” he said. Samson was barking and wagging his tail happily. Blaine was laughing and looked up at Kurt.

“He could care less about me but he smelled you on me and knew you were with me. He kept going to the door even though he couldn't see you,” Kurt said. Blaine laughed and took his leash.

“Let's get him in the car and get home,” Blaine said. Kurt had Sammy's bag and put it in the trunk with their suitcase and Blaine put Sammy in the back. He got in and they made the two hour drive home. Blaine was ready to crash in bed when they got to their house. Another car was in their drive way though and he didn't know who it was. It wasn't Kurt's Camry either. Blaine parked his car next to it and looked at Kurt.

“Stay here,” he said. Kurt looked at him worried and Blaine got out. He never saw him until he got closer to the porch.

“What are you doing here? How did you find us?” Blaine asked.

“It wasn't that hard to find you honestly. Where were you? Where's this girl I hear of? She in the car?” he asked. James Anderson stepped closer to him and he stepped back a little.

“I don't know what you're talking about...” Blaine said.

“Where's this girl I heard you were dating?”

“I'm not dating a girl...I'm with Kurt. I've been with Kurt all along,” Blaine said. His father gave him a disgusted look. Blaine glared at his father.

“Get off my property. Now. I don't want you here,” Blaine said.

“Well isn't that too bad. You know, your mother is filing for divorce. All because of you and what you are. She said she's done with me and how I treated you,” James said. Blaine kept his eyes on him as he walked down towards him.

“Not my fault you're an asshole,” Blaine hissed at him. He never saw it coming until the sting was all over the right side of his face. He hit the ground and pushed himself up with his hands.

“You ungrateful little faggot! After everything I've done for you! You pay me back like this?” James hissed at him. Blaine spit the blood out of his mouth from his cut cheek. He heard a shout and felt arms wrap around him.

“I've already called the police. You better leave,” Kurt said to James. Blaine felt everything in him shatter. His father spit on him and walked away. Spit on him! Thankfully, it was on his shirt and not his face. Kurt helped him up slowly and went to open the door. He led Blaine in and sat him on the couch. Kurt left him on the couch by himself for a minute. Blaine just wrapped his hands together and stared at the floor. He felt a cold pack against his cheek and he pulled away wincing. Kurt looked apologetically at him. He scowled and placed the ice pack to his face lightly.

“Blaine...I'm so sorry. I wish I could have been by your side. I would have stopped him or taken the hit for you or--”

“Don't. I could never let you do that. I'll be okay...I'm just...shaken up,” Blaine said. Kurt handed him a glass of water with two aspirin and he took them. Kurt ran out to the car to grab Sammy. He brought him in and took him right to the kitchen and put him outside for a while. Blaine sat back against the couch. Kurt came back and pulled the ice pack away.

“How bad is it?” Blaine asked.

“A bruised cheek but nothing more. Your eye was spared,” Kurt said. Blaine nodded and sighed. Kurt laid his head on Blaine's chest and ran a thumb on his collarbone. Blaine relaxed a little and closed his eyes still holding the pack to his face. Blaine looked down at Kurt putting his hand on his back and running his hand up and down. He didn't realize he was crying until Kurt was kissing his cheeks and wiping the tears away.

“I'm done Kurt,” Blaine said. He saw the hurt, worry, and confusion in Kurt's eyes and sighed.

“I'm done with him. I'm getting a restraining order against him. He's not my father. Where are the cops?” he asked.

“I only said I called them to get him away from here. However, you are going down tomorrow and pressing charges and getting that restraining order. For you and me,” Kurt said. Blaine nodded and Kurt let him lay down on the couch. Kurt got Samson and brought him in and put him on the couch with Blaine. Samson laid down by Blaine quietly sensing something was wrong. Kurt laid on Blaine's side between his back and the couch and fell asleep. Soon after him Blaine fell asleep peaceful.
