The next day him and Kurt got ready earlier than usual to go to work. They stopped for coffees and finished the walk to the studio. They stopped in Kurt's office so he could grab some stuff and then they went right to the studio. Kurt opened up the file cabinet containing the folder with the music and opened it up. But, he didn't touch any of the work in there. He opened his satchel and pulled out a folder. The tab said “Sideline”. Blaine's eyes widened at the sight. Kurt opened the file and out fell Blaine's lyrics and sheet music. Blaine had never wanted to let that song get recorded. It was just something he wrote the other night!

“I rewrote some lyrics in this if that's okay...I really want this one on the CD. I think it would do really good.”

“Oh...okay...”

“Is that okay?”

“Yeah...that's fine...”

He sat down and took a look at the sheet music and where the lyrics were. The song was guitar only and Blaine would be playing it. He looked over at Kurt who was watching him. Kurt got up and walked into the little recording room. He walked back out holding a guitar case.

“You left this here the other night,” Kurt said smiling. Blaine got up and grabbed the case and opened it up. He took his guitar out and went back to his stool. He looked down at the sheet music. He started to play the song and mumble the lyrics. It flowed very nicely and he smiled at how good Kurt did. When he ended he put the guitar down and looked at Kurt.

“Let's record it...maybe we can get it done today,” Kurt said. Blaine got up and walked into the studio. He started strumming and Kurt started to record the music. The next few hours they worked on the song and and at the end of the day it was finally done. Blaine put his guitar away and left it in the corner of the room. They left the room and Kurt went to make a few phone calls. When Kurt joined him in the break room he looked ready to burst.

“What?” Blaine asked.

“Sideline is your first single! In a month and a half the song will hit the radio!” Kurt said. Blaine jumped up and ran to him and hugged him tightly. Kurt hugged him back and then they pulled away. Blaine looked into his bright blue eyes wanting so bad to hold him longer. Kurt cleared his throat and stepped back and yelled down the hall.

“Rachel! Quinn!”

The two girls joined them in the break room and looked at them curiously. Kurt stood next to Blaine and put his arms around his shoulders.

“Blaine's first official song is done and we have a release date for the single,” Kurt said. Rachel squealed and jumped on Blaine hugging him tightly. Blaine hugged her and back and then she let him go.

“It'll do really good, I know it! Oh! Kurt! I may have hired somebody to help us out...” Rachel said.

“Who?”

“Somebody who went to school for music production and can help us out greatly...”

“Again, who?” Kurt asked.

“Santana!”

Blaine watched Kurt jump on her next and hug her tightly. The woman he assumed was Santana walked into the room and hugged them. She was a tall Latina with her long straight black hair falling around her shoulders. Blaine wondered how they knew her.

“I didn't know you were coming here!” Kurt said.

“Neither did I but Rachel convinced me to take the job and come help you guys out.”

“Well...we're glad to have you!” Kurt said.

“Who's this?” Santana said looking at Blaine. Blaine smiled at her and waved.

“This is Blaine Anderson...Berry Records next star! He's fantastic San!”

“I hope so...he looks it,” she said. Blaine blushed under her gaze and looked down. He ran his hand over the back of his neck nervously under her gaze.

“Is Brittany with you?” Quinn asked.

“Yep! She's at the apartment. I told her I'd be back when I got done here.”

“Nice! Well! Why don't we go out to dinner. All of us! We can celebrate Blaine's first official song!”

“It wasn't even released yet...” Blaine said. Kurt shook his head laughing.

“It doesn't matter...we're still celebrating!”

Blaine rolled his eyes and walked out behind the group. Rachel took off to make a phone call and came back to join the group after wards.

“Dinner at seven at Marseille!”

They all rushed home to get ready for tonight. Blaine showered in the guest bathroom. He gelled his curls down and realized he'd need to cut his hair. He joined Kurt in the living room and they took off into the streets and to Kurt's parking spot. They got into his car and Kurt drove them down to Marseille.

They met Rachel and Quinn and walked into the building. They got their table and waited for Santana and Brittany. They all ordered wine but Blaine decided against it and ordered a water. Kurt looked at him sympathetically but Blaine shook his head. He needed to avoid it. He couldn't let himself get hooked all over again. He looked to his right to see Santana and Brittany walking towards them. Holding hands. Blaine didn't realize they were a couple and he smiled at them. Brittany was a tall blonde and very pretty. He could see why Santana liked her.

“Hi guys!” Brittany said. They all said hi and decided to order. Dinner went by smoothly until Kurt's phone rang.

“Excuse me,” Kurt said getting up and walking out.

“Leo...” Rachel muttered. Blaine looked down at his lap upset. He tried to eat but his stomach was churning by this point. Kurt came back in a rush and put his jacket back on.

“I need to go...Rachel can you drop Blaine off at the apartment?” Kurt said.

“I'll grab a cab...don't worry.” Blaine said.

“I'll see you later,” Kurt said and walked out. Blaine watched him go and then returned his food. He looked up to see Rachel looking at him pointedly.

“Blaine...”

“I'm going to take off guys...I'll see you later,” Blaine said getting up and walking out. He heard heels clacking behind him and he turned to see Quinn running to him.

“Let me and Rachel take you home...it's a far walk,” she said.

“I'll be fine walking back...” Blaine said.

“Are you sure?”

“Yeah...it'll give me time to think,” Blaine said.

“Don't worry about Kurt...he'll be fine,” she said. She hugged him and pressed a kiss to his cheek. She turned and walked away leaving him alone. He turned and started the walk back to Kurt's apartment.
