He grabbed the bags from his shopping trip earlier and moved them to his bedroom. He went through some of them and put some clothes away. He sat down on his bed with one of the bags. Inside was a shirt he had gotten for Blaine. He didn't know if he should give it to him or wait for a while. He put it away in his closet deciding to wait.
He walked back out into the living room and put the news on. The smell of the pizza was starting to fill his apartment. A few minutes later a knock sounded on his door. He got up and opened it up letting Blaine in. Blaine put an arm around his waist and kissed his cheek gently.
“How was work?” Kurt asked.
“The same. Better than the law firm though.”
“That's good.”
“I guess. It was boring though. I didn't have you there with me,” Blaine replied. Kurt looked away blushing and shook his head.
“Maybe Rachel and I will come in one day and be those customers that just don't shut up and want to know everything,” Kurt replied.
“I'll kick you out myself,” Blaine said chuckling. The timer went off in the kitchen and Kurt went to get them. He pulled the pan out and set it on top of the stove.
“Those smell so good,” Blaine said. Kurt cut them up and put them on a plate and sat one down on the island in front of Blaine.
“I have wine, beer, soda, water, and juice. Take your pick.”
“You have all of them?”
“Yep. I stock up. What can I say. I'm going to get a wine cooler actually. Did you want one?”
“A soda will be fine for me,” Blaine replied. Kurt got one of the wine coolers and a can of coke for Blaine. He sat down next to him and took a bite of his pizza.
“Can I tell you something?” Blaine asked.
“Of course,” Kurt said worried.
“Rachel came by after your shopping trip. She came in and warned me not to hurt you and if I don't plan on sticking around then I should let you go now.”
Kurt stopped mid-bite on his pizza and put it down. Of course Rachel would go and give him the talk.
“She told me you've been hurt badly and she doesn't want to see it happen again. I told her it wouldn't...that I'm serious that I want to be with you if you'll let me. And I'll wait as long as I need to, to be with you. Kurt, I don't plan on leaving you. I will never hurt you. I only want you.”
“She had no right to do that...”
“She was being a friend. If you ask me, it was endearing. I thought it was sweet of her to be looking out for you,” Blaine replied shrugging.
“I know...it's just...she approved of Ryan, and the engagement, and then the wedding. It's just...”
“You've been hurt. I know. That's why I said I'll wait as long as I need to, to be yours.”
“Thank you,” Kurt replied. They finished eating and washed the dishes together. When they were done they went in the living room and put a movie on. They laid on the couch, cuddling, watching the comedy Blaine had chosen.
“I'm so tired...” Blaine said.
“Do you want to stay over? You don't have work tomorrow right?” Kurt asked.
“No, I don't. Are you sure you want me to stay?” Blaine asked.
“Yeah...just don't think anything is going to happen.”
“I don't...Kurt, I'm not like that...”
“I know...I'm sorry...”
“It's okay, babe. Come on, I'm tired and you are too. Do you have a guest bedroom?”
“What for?”
“Well, I thought I'd sleep there...”
Kurt laughed and shook his head at him, “I meant...you can stay over and you can sleep in my bed. Why would I make you take the guest bedroom? I trust you enough and if you do anything, I will kick your ass.”
“I'm not going to do anything...” Blaine said. Kurt knew he was getting annoyed with Kurt's responses and he was surprised he hadn't snapped yet.
“Come on,” Kurt said standing up and holding his hand out. Blaine grasped his hand and stood up. They made their way into Kurt's bedroom. It was a decent sized room with dark red painted walls. Kurt had tan carpeting on the floor compared to the old gray that had been in the room before he changed it. Blaine opted to stay in his jeans but Kurt got him a shirt to wear for the night. Kurt changed in his bathroom and opened his medicine cabinet to get some Aleve. He took them with a little cup of water. He walked back out into the hallway and down to his bedroom. He opened the door to see Blaine had settled on the left side of the bed.
“I hate to burst your bubble, but that's my side,” Kurt said smiling at him.
“Damn! I knew I should have gone with the right!”
“You're such an idiot,” Kurt said as he maneuvered onto the bed to the right side.
“I thought this was your side?”
“Nope.”
“You ass,” Blaine said as they pulled the covers down and laid down. Kurt resisted from moving closer to him. It'd been long enough without someone sleeping next to him. Once you get used to it there's no going back and he missed cuddling before falling asleep. Blaine turned away from him and Kurt let the breath he was holding out.
“Good night,” Kurt said.
“Good night,” Blaine replied. Kurt closed his eyes willing sleep to overtake him.
When he woke up the next morning he started to internally freak out. An arm was around his waist and a hand was holding his. He looked over his shoulder and saw Blaine's peaceful face as he slept. Kurt smiled and rolled onto his back and pulled his hand from Blaine's. He got up as slowly as he could without disturbing Blaine.
He made his way out of the room and down into to the kitchen. He started to prepare breakfast, making them omelets. He made his a veggie one and made Blaine's with bacon. He put them on plates and set them on the island. Kurt got the orange juice out and poured two glasses. He put them in their spots and went to get Blaine up.
When he walked into the room he saw Blaine was still in the spot he left him. As he looked on he kept thinking about how this was him and Ryan at one point. He could see this being him and Blaine but as soon as those thoughts crossed his mind his walls went right back up. He sighed and walked over to the bed. There was no reason they wouldn't work out but Kurt knew it'd be a while before he'd realize Blaine wouldn't leave.
“Blaine?” he said placing his hand on Blaine's arm. Blaine started to shift and his hazel eyes opened up. Kurt smiled down at him and kissed his temple.
“I made breakfast...come on,” Kurt said. Blaine rolled onto his back and stretched. He sat up and moved to the edge of the bed.
“Mmm...that smells so good,” Blaine said. They walked down into the kitchen and ate in silence. When they were done Kurt washed the dishes and they spent the rest of the day lounging and watching movies on Kurt's Netflix.
When Blaine had to leave he left the shirt Kurt gave him on Kurt's bed. He hugged Kurt and kissed his forehead and smiled.
“Thanks for dinner last night and the food today. I also enjoyed spending the past day with you.”
“You're welcome and I enjoyed it too,” Kurt said holding Blaine's hand. Blaine's lips pressed to his and then he pulled away.
“I'll talk to you tomorrow. We'll make plans for this week.”
“I have an idea...but I'm not telling you until Sunday.”
“You suck,” Blaine replied giggling. Kurt loved the sound of his soft laugh and sighed as he left. He sat on his couch curling up on himself. Was this the right thing to do?

I love the fluff so much I'm just waiting like a kid turning a jack in the box for some angst.
