How in the hell had he felt that touch? Blaine was imaginary! He wasn't real, he wasn't human! But yet, the touch had sent sparks through his whole being and shook him to the core. He closed the door to his apartment behind him and sank down trying to catch his breath. Blaine wasn't real! That line made less sense every time he thought it. Blaine had held his hand and the last time he checked Blaine wasn't...here! Somehow, Blaine was though and Kurt didn't know if he had known it or not.

Yeah, Blaine and him had hugged and bumped into each other as kids but that was because he was assigned to Kurt. So naturally, they'd be able to interact. He didn't think he would ever see him again let alone touch his hand. Kurt felt the tears spring to his eyes and he curled up on the floor. This wasn't fair!

After a few minutes of staying like that Kurt got up and went into the kitchen. He made himself a cup of hot tea and went back into the living room. He sat on the couch lost in thought. Sebastian text him goodnight with a heart and he replied back. He put his empty mug on the table and laid down. He closed his eyes and fell asleep, dreaming of what used to be with Blaine and what could be.

Kurt rushed out of the studio and down the street. He got to their coffee shop and saw Sebastian standing outside waiting for him. He ran into his arms and kissed him happily.

“Take it easy there tiger. Wait until we get home!” Sebastian said smirking.

“Your place or mine?”

“Well since you live closer to Times Square we'll go with yours.”

“Sounds like a plan,” Kurt said smiling brightly. They intertwined their fingers together and walked into the coffee shop. He looked down at their hands hoping it would hit him that this was Sebastian's hands and not Blaine's. He looked back up at Sebastian and sighed quietly. They got their order and walked back out into the street.

“So, how was work?” Sebastian asked.

“It was okay. Rachel actually was happy for once and I hope it stays that way,” Kurt said as they walked holding hands.

“So, things are actually looking good for this week?” Sebastian asked.

“Definitely,” Kurt answered smiling. Sebastian squeezed his hand tighter as they kept up the leisurely pace. Kurt finished off his coffee and threw the cup away. Sebastian sucked the rest of his down and threw it away. Kurt grabbed his face and kissed him fiercely. The taste of caramel mocha and Sebastian lingered when he pulled away. He had his fingers tangled in Sebastian's hair and smiled a little shyly.

“I love you,” Sebastian said grinning and kissing him once more. Kurt's back hit the building and he moved his hands down to fist Sebastian's shirt. They stayed there for a minute just kissing until Sebastian pulled away. His lips lingered near his. Sebastian's green eyes looked into Kurt's glasz eyes filled with lust. Kurt nodded and they bolted back to Kurt's apartment laughing along the way at their childish behavior.

Kurt and Rachel walked out into the hallway of the studio the next day. Sebastian stood there with a glower on his face. Kurt sighed and went over to him. He kissed his cheek lightly and the fingertips of his other hand ran lightly over Sebastian's cheek.

“What's wrong?” Kurt asked.

“Are you serious?” Sebastian scoffed.

“What?”

“What's wrong? Kurt it's like seven in the evening! You should have been done around three! I've been waiting in your apartment until you didn't show up. Finally, I come here hearing her complaining over and over,” Sebastian said pointing and glaring at Rachel. Kurt glared back at Sebastian.

“Lay off! She just wants to make sure the play is going to go well. This is our big break Seb...can't you be happy for me?”

“I am! God, Kurt, I am so happy for you and I want the best for you but you wake up too damn early and go to bed too damn late!”

“I don't care, Seb! This is my life. We had a few blunders that we needed to fix. It wasn't just her stopping us.”

“It doesn't matter. She's done this since you two were in college together. I barely get time to you anymore,” Seb said.

“I try to spend time with you and you start this fight about work! I give you all of my time. The only time I've seen Rachel these past few weeks has been here.”

“And where are you when I'm not around?”

“Home,” Kurt said glaring at him with more anger than before. Sebastian was pissing him off and he had just about enough.

“Oh, yeah?” Sebastian said. Kurt watched as the others filed out of the hallway to leave them alone.

“Yeah. Let's go,” Kurt said walking out of the building and towards his apartment complex. Sebastian was following him a little slowly and Kurt's heart was breaking at the sight but he couldn't stand it. He had enough of this constant bickering.

When they finally walked into his apartment Kurt slammed the door and turned to Sebastian. His green eyes were pained and Kurt pushed his own pain and sadness away to finally get it out.

“I've been meeting with some scouts and producers and two of them were there tonight.”

“Did you get a chance at another role? Did you get a part?” Sebastian asked quietly. A small smiled graced his lips but Kurt ignored it. He was happy that it was at least genuine.

“Probably not,” Kurt said biting back the tears.

“Why? Kurt you're phenomenal! I'm sure they'll call you,” Sebastian said.

“They won't! And you want to know why?”

“Why?” Sebastian asked looking at him confused.

“Because, you attacked me as we were leaving right in front of them! You managed to fight with me in front of them. They won't take me now seeing I have an over bearing boyfriend!”

Sebastian's face sank and realization dawned on his face.

“Kurt, I am so sorry. You know I would never do anything to intentionally hurt your future,” Sebastian said reaching out to Kurt. Kurt crossed his arms and stepped back.

“Get out,” he said as the tears finally fell.

“Don't be like this...” Sebastian said.

“I said get out! I'm done, Sebastian. We're br-br-breaking up,” he stuttered out. After seven years he never thought he'd utter those words to Sebastian but he didn't know what else to do. Sebastian ruined the chance he had at playing a lead role and he would resent him for that for years.

“Kurt...please...I won't go back to the studio...I'll stay here and wait for you anymore...dinner will be made and ready and...I'll make sure to take care of you...and-and treat you the way you should be treated,” Sebastian choked out through his own tears. Kurt shook his head and wiped his eyes. He opened the apartment door and looked at Sebastian.

“Go...I'm sorry Sebastian...but I'm done.”

Sebastian walked towards the door and stopped in front of him. His hand reached out and graced his face gently.

“I'll love you...forever. If we can at least be friends, grant me that. I'll be your biggest fan when you get that lead role,” Sebastian said.

“I don't know.”

Sebastian looked down sadly and walked out. Kurt closed the door behind him and sank down to the floor finally letting a cry out. When someone knocked on the door he slowly got up and looked through the peep hole to see unruly curls that sent his heart racing.

End Notes: Not going to lie, this chapter actually hurt...
