Kurt kissed his boyfriend and turned down the New York City street to go to the studio. He looked back at the smiling man and smiled himself and looked back in front of him. He stopped in a corner coffee shop and ordered a coffee and blueberry muffin. He hurried back out into the sea of people blurring by.

When he got to the studio Rachel was glaring at him. He ignored her and brushed by. He was playing a lesser role so he could afford to be a few minutes late.

“Where were you?”

“Obviously getting my caffeine. I need it with you keeping us here until God knows when,” he bit back. She scowled at him and he turned away finishing his muffin. Kurt had gotten his greatest dream. To star in a Broadway musical. Specifically, Wicked. He was Fiyero in this run. Rachel, his best friend and greatest competition, was Elphaba for the run.

“I just want to make sure that we're ready,” she stated with a smile. Kurt groaned and finished the last of his coffee hoping it would kick in soon.

“I think we're good. We've been here until late in the evening,” Kurt said.

“So? To be the best out there you need to practice,” Rachel said.

“At least we have tomorrow off so I can be with my baby,” Kurt said smiling thinking about his boyfriend. At that Rachel's smile faded. She was still single. Finn broke up with her in their freshman year at NYADA. She had hurt for a while but got over it since she still had Kurt. But, Kurt had gotten lucky while still in high school and surprisingly started dating someone.

“Gross,” she replied. Rachel didn't like him spending all of his time with his boyfriend. Kurt saw enough of her here.

“Just please...don't interrupt like you always do,” Kurt said.

The next few hours were spent rehearsing his parts with Rachel. When lunch time came around they went out into the busy streets of New York City. They went to a small diner and ate in silence. Rachel was texting the whole time and ignored him.

“Rach...I'm sorry about earlier. I'm just tired and stressed,” Kurt said.

“So am I,” she replied not looking at him.

“I'm saying this because he wants me home earlier.”

“It's always what he wants right?”

“No.”

“Yes. Now, tonight we will make sure we are spot on and perfect for our premiere in two weeks,” Rachel said finally looking up at him.

“Rachel, I never get black bags under my eyes and now...look at me! I look awful!”

“You look fine,” she said. Kurt rolled his eyes and went back to his salad. When their hour was up they made their way back to the studio. The last few hours went by in a blur. Rachel stopped them but not as much as the other day. Kurt was so happy when they let them go. Rachel said bye and went down a different street and he made his way back to his apartment where his boyfriend would be waiting. It was already after seven and he wouldn't be happy that he was home late once again.

As Kurt was walking down the street he thought he saw someone he knew. He saw the back of a head of black curls. He hadn't seen them since he was younger and he couldn't remember clearly who it was. He shook his head and accidentally ran into him. Everybody was stopped, waiting for the signal to walk. He mentally berated himself and moved away from the guy still staring at the guy's head. He wore a dark red tee and slightly baggy jeans. When they were signaled to walk he crossed the street quickly finishing the last block and hitting his street and walking down to his building.

When he arrived at his building he ran in and ran up the flight of stairs to the fifth floor. He walked fast down the hall and down his corridor and put his key in the hole. He opened it up and there he was on the couch. His face brightened at the sight of him. He was curled up asleep with the TV on. Like usual. He chuckled at the sight of him with a blanket hanging half off because Kurt kept the apartment cold. He hated coming home late but he loved how he looked like this. He put his bag down and kissed him on the forehead. The big green eyes opened and looked up at him sleepily.

“Evening, sleeping beauty,” Kurt said smiling.

“What time is it?”

“Almost half past seven,” Kurt said looking down.

“Kurt...you need to stop working so late,” he said. Kurt looked down at Sebastian and sighed.

“I know...I'm trying. Rachel is being a snot though,” he said sitting beside him. Sebastian and him had met while Kurt was attending Dalton and Sebastian moved to Ohio. They moved to New York together after graduation with Sebastian majoring in English at New York University and Kurt at NYADA. Sebastian was a journalist for a news paper and had his own Novel in the works to be published. Kurt loved him with all his heart. They had their moments but they always moved on.

“I don't care! Talk to the people in charge and get them to fire her or tell her to cut it out! She's not even in charge! Why does she get away with it?”

“I don't know...I don't think they even like her now that she's hired,” Kurt said getting up and going into the kitchen. Sebastian followed him into the kitchen grabbing a beer from the fridge for himself. Kurt scowled at the sight. He wasn't a beer person but kept it for Sebastian when he was over.

“Dinner's in the oven. I kept it on warm so you could eat some when you got home.”

“You fell asleep with the oven on?”

“Maybe...I just closed my eyes for two seconds!”

“Uh huh...” Kurt said smiling and goes to Sebastian and kissing him gently.

“I swear,” Sebastian replied grinning at him.

“I promise I'll try to get home early from now on. I'll talk to the directors. Tomorrow I'm off so we can spend the day together.”

“Well, I have a class from ten to one so I won't be able to meet up until after that. So how about three we go out and then we can spend the night together? We can go to my place.”

“I'd love that,” Kurt said. He turned around and got the food out of the over smiling down at the lasagna. Sebastian treated him too well. He got a plate and served himself some of it. He sat down at the table and Sebastian started to massage his shoulders.

“Hmm...”

“I'm sorry about work...but just think. Your show starts in less than two weeks and you have three test runs next week and that's it. I'll be at a show every chance I get,” Sebastian said into his ear.

“Sounds good but you don't have to go to so many,” Kurt replied.

“I know but I want to support you as much as I can. You've been there for me the whole way. This is your big break and I want to make sure it goes well,” Sebastian said. Kurt leaned his head back and smiled up at Sebastian. He leaned down and kissed Kurt. Kurt grinned into the kiss and looked up at him lovingly.

“Just do me one favor?”

“Depends...” Kurt replied warily.

“Stop staying late. Tell them you need to leave and get home. I don't want you out so late all of the time. Because, you come home and stay up late and have to wake up early to get ready,” Sebastian said. Kurt knew he was just worried but it irked him how much he was nagging about this the past few weeks.

“I'll see what I can do,” Kurt said throwing the last bit of food on his plate away. Sebastian looked at him worried and Kurt ignored it. Sebastian's arms wrapped around his waist while he washed the plate. Light kisses were placed to his neck.

“I guess you're staying the night...?” Kurt asked smiling knowingly. Sebastian grinned into his neck and then kissed his neck once more, sucking lightly.

“I'll take that as a yes,” Kurt said turning around and kissing him passionately.
