Author's Notes: Thanks for reading! :D another update probably this week!
Blaine rolled over to look at his alarm clock. It was 7 A.M on Christmas day. He had been looking forward to this day for so long. He got up and yawned. Him and Kurt had spent the night in and stayed up late. He decided to shower early and let Kurt wake up on his own. When he was all ready for the day he went into the living room. The Christmas tree wasn't big but it was good enough for them. They had decorated it together. He had a little surprise for Kurt and couldn't wait to give it to him. He toasted a bagel and sat down at the kitchen table. He decided to straighten up his stuff and go through the rest he had left. He went into the guest bedroom and pulled out the sports stuff he had. Kurt wanted him to get rid of it. He had agreed, so he made a pile of stuff to go. He found a lot of his high school clothes he still fit in but hadn't worn lately. He'd cleaned up his style a bit and had started wearing more suit-like outfits. He’d let Kurt win…this time.

“Blaine? What are you doing?”

Blaine looked up to see Kurt in the doorway.

“Just going through my stuff I’m getting rid of. I found some old clothes from high school. Mainly from when I transferred,” Blaine said. Kurt smiled and shook his head. Blaine froze when he saw the red and blue. He moved the other shirts and pulled out the blazer. He held it up and shook it.

“I haven't seen that in years,” Kurt said.

“I put it in the bottom of a box when I transferred because I didn't want to see it again. I know I went back to visit but the jacket was hung up for good and I did not want to remember the reason I went there,” Blaine said. Kurt came over to him and put it around Blaine's waist.

“You okay?”

“Yeah I'm fine. Keep it or get rid of it?”

“Keep it. Put it away so you won't see it, but definitely keep it,” Kurt said.

“Got it. Listen I want to give you your present now,” Blaine said. Kurt seemed stunned.

“Why not later?”

“I just want it to be us,” Blaine said shrugging. Kurt smiled and walked out of the room. Blaine got the card out of the drawer in the nightstand. He went out to Kurt who was in the kitchen making coffee.

“Here you go,” he said. Kurt looked at him and the envelope being handed to him. He grabbed it and sat down on one of the chairs. He opened the envelope up and pulled the card out.

“To my only love on Christmas...” Kurt said. He opened the card to two tickets.

“Two tickets for Wicked?! First Mezz, front and center?” Kurt said looking at him. Blaine smiled and nodded.

“I know they aren't right up front, but I figured the view would be better from higher up. And besides the play, it's gonna be a night on the town for us,” Blaine said. Kurt jumped up and hugged him tightly.

“Thank you, thank you, thank you! The seats are perfect. Everything's perfect. You're perfect!”

“I know you wanted to go so I made sure I was able to get them and got the best for you and me. Also, I have reservations that night at Marseille for two,” Blaine said, blushing slightly at his over ecstatic boyfriend. Kurt squealed and jumped up at him. Blaine was laughing and hugged him tightly.

“I hope you're happy,” Blaine said.

“No, I am not happy at all,” Kurt said sarcastically. Blaine smiled and kissed Kurt.

“Now your gift,” Kurt said. Kurt actually walked out of the apartment to their neighbor. Blaine never thought he'd see the day that Kurt would do that. Blaine sat down on the couch and waited. Kurt came in with a big box with a big red bow. Kurt sat it on the floor in front of Blaine.

“Go ahead...I hope you like it,” Kurt said.

It was bigger than it should be. Why did Kurt have to get something so big for him, Blaine thought to himself. He went to pick the box up, but Kurt stopped him.

“I wouldn’t shake it if I were you,” Kurt responded.
Nodding his head, Blaine pulled the lid off of the box. Peering into the box a pair of topaz eyes glistened up towards him. Blaine's jaw dropped and a smiled spread across his face as he reached in to pick up the tiny German Shepherd puppy.

“Kurt, you have no idea how amazing this is,” Blaine said.

“She just needs a name,” Kurt said.

“How about Versace?” Blaine asked. Kurt sat down by him smiling.

“I like it. Very nice. Anything you need for the dog is in our spare closet. There's a dog bed, food, toys, and grooming supplies. The dog bed is designer so she better not damage it,” Kurt said. Blaine smiled and held her in his lap.

“Walks every morning, afternoon if we're here, and nightly walk. She'll be spoiled,” Blaine said. Kurt just shook his head and laughed to himself. Blaine put the puppy down and went over to Kurt. Versace followed him into the kitchen tentatively. He wrapped his arms around Kurt and started to kiss him slowly.

“Not in front of the dog,” Kurt said.

“Too bad,” Blaine said. They continued on and went into the bedroom eventually. The perfect way to start the day. When they got ready Blaine looked down at the puppy who was now sitting by the bed.

“She can't stay here forever though can she? No big dogs in the apartments, right?” Blaine asked.

“That's why I've been looking at houses nearby. I found a really nice one. Four bedroom, three bath, and set up like this. It's wonderful and with my paycheck we can put the down payment on it,” Kurt said.

“You did this without me?”

“I did but I was planning on taking you over next week. If you hadn't asked I would have taken you over myself. You'll still get to see it though. It's beautiful,” Kurt said smiling.

“Do we need four bedroom?”

“Well, yes, if we plan on having a family, then yes,” Kurt replied.

“A family?” Blaine said the word but he just couldn't paint the picture.

“Yes. A family...why don't you want one?” Kurt asked sadly.

“Of course I do. I'm sorry I made it sound bad. I did not mean to,” Blaine said.

“What's wrong?” Kurt asked him. Blaine looked up at him.

“Nothing...just thinking about it,” Blaine said.

“Thinking? It's going to happen...I hope. Blaine why don't you want a family?”

“It's not that I don't, believe me that's not it. I'm just afraid of being a horrible father. I don't want to be like mine was. I'm worried,” he said.

“I know how you feel but you'll be a great father. I can see a little boy or girl with your black curls running around and you being an amazing father. Practice with the dog first though,” Kurt said kissing Blaine's forehead. Blaine snickered and grabbed the puppy.

“You have no idea how much I love her already. She's gorgeous,” Blaine said.

“She's a purebred. She was absolutely the best between her and her two brothers,” Kurt said. Versace laid her head on Blaine's shoulder and started to close her eyes. Blaine could see this being their kid one day.

“One condition on the kid part…We move into a bigger house, we get married, and then about a year or two after that we discuss kids,” Blaine said.

“Of course. That was my plan anyway. I want to get settled in and start cutting back on the work. We have enough in savings to make it by for a while if I stop work to be home. You won't be able to though,” Kurt said.

“Only during the summer will I be off so you can work then. We can make it work,” Blaine said.

After their talk Kurt's parents showed up, then Finn and Rachel, and lastly Blaire and Anna. They all sat in the living room drinking wine and talking. Kurt wouldn't see his parents for a while after this so he was talking to them nonstop. The doorbell rang and Blaine got up to get it.

“I wonder who that is?” Kurt said. Blaine opened the door to see his mom. He stared at her like he didn't know her at all. She was smiling; looking at him.

“Hi honey,” she said.

“What do you want?” he asked her. Her smile faded and she looking dejected.

“I wanted to see you and Kurt,” she said. Kurt came over to Blaine and wrapped his arm through his. Kurt would never forget that night but he didn't know how Blaine would take this.

“You didn't do anything to stop him and you haven't even called since that night. Over a month and you show up here now?” Blaine asked.

“I left your father, Blaine...he was out of control. He told me if I left he'd find you. I don't know what he plans to do but please, Blaine...I want to be in your life and I had to come over to see you two,” she said.

“Why'd you leave?”

“Isn't it obvious? I was done with all of the pain and the yelling of how disappointing both of his children are. Blaine please let me in and talk to you. I want to be in your life,” Cassandra pleaded. Kurt looked at her with sadness but a glint of anger in his eyes.

“I can't. You let him hurt me for years and hit Kurt...I don't know if I can forgive you for that. I left for a reason,” Blaine said. He closed the door on her. Blaire walked over to him.

“It was for the best Blaine. You had to let go. A connection with her just keeps him closer.”

“You don't need her,” Kurt said. Blaine nodded and sighed.

“Let's get back to the joy of tonight,” Blaine said.

They agreed and went back to the group of people and exchanged gifts and celebrated the rest of the night. Blaine had gotten Kurt another present. It was just a simple chain bracelet, but Blaine knew Kurt would enjoy it. He was right, Kurt's eyes lit up when he opened the small red velvet box. Blaine smiled, even though his mom was still on his mind. He'd be okay without her. He had Kurt's parents, Finn and Rachel, his sister, and Anna. The first being the most important – Kurt.
