“What's your name?” the other growled out.
“Blaine...yours?”
“Kurt,” the boy, now tiger, said. Blaine took in the tiger before him. He looked harmless but you've never been in a fight before with one of them. Blaine flexed his claws and looked at the tiger still standing in front of him.
“I'm not going to hurt you,” the sad mewl sounded. Blaine looked down embarrassed and sighed.
“I'm sorry,” he said. Kurt nodded and sat down. His tail wrapped neatly around his paws. Blaine loved how gorgeous Kurt looked. He obviously took care of his coat very well and carried himself with dignity. Blaine looked at his own that was still a little dirty from his tussle last week, not having the strength or will to clean it. The door opened and Jeff holding the whip came into the room.
“Let's go,” he said looking at Blaine. Blaine moved in front of Kurt and walked over to the man. The nylon line was wrapped around his neck as a collar was put around his neck. The collar was a big black one with Blaine across the front in white lettering. Blaine was the strongest tiger they had and he was sent in once a week to present himself to the crowds of people that gathered. These showings were like cock fights. Secret and for gambling purposes. The public had never found them yet and Blaine doubted they ever would. Two lines clipped the collar around his neck and brought him out of his daze. He was led out into the hallway and to the ring.
“Ladies and gentleman! Another challenger for our tiger! His name is Ryder! Another Tiger who was raised from a child to now! Let him in!”
Blaine only heard and didn't see the other tiger yet.
“And now! Our undefeated champion! Blaine!”
The lines were unclasped and Blaine walked through the corridor to the ring where he'd face the newcomer. The tiger was his size and had many scars along his coat. Blaine growled and looked up at the man who ran this show. Ryan stood at his podium looking at Blaine with dollar signs in his eyes. Blaine growled and looked back at Ryder.
“Let the fight commence!”
Ryder jumped at him, claws outstretched, and teeth bared. Blaine moved to the side quickly jumped on his back. He bit it the back of the enemy and dug his claws into his back. He heard the crowds whooping for him and wishing him luck. Ryder flipped onto his back and squashed him beneath his weight. Blaine was left winded as the tiger bit his throat. Blaine brought his back feet up and clawed down the tigers belly.
Blaine rolled away from him when he let go and jumped at him and clawing at his face. The tiger backed away from him and attacked him. Long claws scratched at Blaine's face and he felt the blood drip down his face. He shook his head and jumped on the tiger and bit his throat and held on tightly. The other tiger roared and pulled away hurting himself worse. Whips made their way to Blaine's back and he let the tiger go knowing he was done. He moved away and walked back to his corridor.
The lines clipped to his collar and he was led back to the room. The collar was gone once more and he went into the corner and laid down. He used his one paw to wipe at his face to try and get blood off his face. He looked over to see Kurt coming over to him.
“Are you okay? What happened?” Kurt asked worried.
“It's called fighting. That's why I'm here. I was taught to fight. The same will probably happen to you,” Blaine said. Kurt got closer and licked his injured face. The wounds were already starting to close thanks to their power of quick healing. He flinched away from Kurt and turned away.
“When you're ready...I'll be here,” Kurt said before walking away. Blaine snorted and curled up falling asleep.
Blaine woke up from his pain induced slumber from the whipping to see another tiger with him. The scent of Cooper washed over his senses and he ran to his big brother.
“Cooper!”
The blue-eyed tiger looked over at him and Blaine stopped in his tracks. Claw marks were present on Cooper's face. His muzzle was covered in blood and an angry cut was present over his right eye. Blaine's stomach churned at the sight of his brother. Blaine walked closer to Cooper and licked his cheek gently.
“Are you okay?” Blaine's little mewl came out. Cooper nodded and laid his head down. Blaine laid by him and curled up into his side.
“Love you Blaine...”
“Love you too Coop...don't go away again,” Blaine said.
“I'll do my best.”
“Where's mom and dad?”
“Dad died bud...mom was taken to another pen. They said they were going to break her and breed her.”
Blaine felt sick to his stomach and wondered what Cooper meant. He didn't want to know honestly. Cooper's eyes looked lost and upset and Blaine feared he would lose his brother too. Just then the man from before came in and Cooper didn't even fight to save Blaine from the cruel hands of the man. He picked up Blaine and walked out with him. Blaine was growling in anger but the guy only laughed at him.
