Kurt was walking around New York City with his friend James beside him. They had gotten a coffee and were just walking around together.

“Are you okay?”

“What? Yeah I'm fine.”

“Are you sure? You've really changed over the past few months. I didn't want to ask but I thought by now I should.”

“I know. Things have been busy lately...”

“You've also changed personality wise. I don't know what's going on but if you need anything Kurt...I'm here for you.”

Kurt nodded and said goodbye as he walked away from him swiftly. Things hadn't gotten better over the past month. He hoped they would but every time it seemed like it Cooper would do something to change that. Kurt started walking back to his apartment. When he got there Rachel was gone and everything was off.

He went for the couch and sat down. He looked down at his phone hoping for a call. He had kept trying to call Blaine but he never got through. Blaine had changed his number on him. Kurt curled up on the couch and winced as pain went through his side. He pulled his shirt up to look at the bruise on his side. So he turned and laid on his back thinking. Thinking how things may have been if he had told Cooper earlier and stayed with Blaine. Somebody started to shake him lightly and he opened his eyes to see Rachel above him.

“You never sleep during the day...are you okay?” she asked worried.

“I was up late last night...”

“Cooper?”

“Yeah.”

“Look, Kurt, this is probably the last thing you want to hear from me but I think you need to dump Cooper,” she said.

“Why?”

“Why?! Kurt you look like shit! And it's because of him.”

“No, it's not.”

“Don't tell me it was NYADA either because you had a lot of work. This is because of Cooper!”

“Rachel...stop! I've been stressed...that's why. It's summer time so I get to relax now. I'll be fine.”

“No...you won't be fine. Not unless you get rid of Cooper...”

“We are not having this discussion Rachel. Cooper and I are fine.”

“You're hopeless. He's hurting you Kurt! I can see it!”

Rachel grabbed his hands and held them tightly. He looked at her and saw she was crying. He bit his lip and looked down.

“He's ruining your spirit. The Kurt I know isn't there anymore. He's gone. Because Cooper is destroying my Kurt.”

“He's not hurting me Rachel...”

“Yes, he is! I know he is. I've seen how you act with him...” she said. Kurt pulled his hands away and got up. He grabbed his keys and looked back at her.

“I'm done talking about this.”

He left the apartment and went to Cooper's. Cooper let him in and hugged him tightly. Kurt held onto him tightly. Cooper kissed his head and looked down at him.

“I love you, Kurt...”

“Love you too.”

And that was when he felt it. Cooper's hand hit his face and his hand flew to his cheek to hold it. He brought his hand down and glared at him.

“What was that for?”

“For not telling me you were going to be with someone else today.”

“I don't have to tell you anything I do!”

Another slap connected with his face. He moved away and glared at Cooper. He did nothing wrong!

“Yes, you do. After your little escapade with my brother...”

“Stop! That was months ago! I haven't bothered with him since.”

“It doesn't matter...”

“Yes...it does. I can't trust you.”

“I've been nothing but faithful to you since everything with Blaine ended!”

“That means nothing. You still hurt me.”

With that, Kurt walked out and out to his car. He opted to walk around instead of going right back to his apartment. He walked by the coffee shop he would usually go to. Inside he saw the back of a head of curls. Kurt felt his heart race. It was Blaine. It had to be...he walked into the shop and ordered a coffee. He got it and made his way towards the table.
