The next day went like usual. Except, Kurt was alone. Blaine was out with his brother. Erica had tried to find Tyson and talk to him. And his mother...he had no clue. This was no way to rekindle any bonds with her son if all she ever did was disappear. When a knock sounded on the front door he grew cautious. He smelled the air and relaxed.

He walked to the front door annoyed and opened it up. Simon stood there holding some folder in his hands. Kurt looked at him confused. He opened the door to let him in and Simon walked in quickly after looking around.

“What is going on?” Kurt asked.

“I have some information that Blaine requested,” Simon replied.

“Wait...what?”

“Blaine asked me to get some information and I'm bringing it by,” Simon replied. Kurt didn't know what was going on so he decided to play along as best he could.

“Oh! He told me you would be by and you can leave the folder with me.”

“Actually, I need to see him.”

“He's out with his brother. I got Cooper here and you're not ruining it so give said folder to me and leave,” Kurt replied crossing his arms. Simon shook his head and then the front door opened. Blaine was walking in with Erica and Cooper. Kurt sighed and looked at Simon.

“I got what you wanted, Blaine,” Simon said. Blaine ran to him and grabbed the folder.

“What is it? Is it about what happened the other day?” Kurt asked. Blaine looked at him worried and then sighed.

“Kind of...” Blaine said.

“Explain, Blaine. Even after all these years you keep me in the dark until it suits you to tell me,” Kurt said.

“Okay...look, Cooper's creator is the same as your mother's. Except...Cooper wanted nothing to do with his plan.”

“What plan?” Kurt asked confused.

“Your mother is wanted for murder. She's been good though and untraceable, due to her partner in crime,” Simon said looking at him sympathetically. Kurt shook his head.

“What do you mean wanted for murder? We all murder.”

“She doesn't murder to feed though. Your mother is what we call...a black widow. Her and this one guy work together and she gets the guy to give her what she wants using compulsion. However, I think there's more behind her compulsion. When she gets the guy to sign his estate, money, anything with value over to her, he's killed. Her and her husband move on,” Blaine said.

“No. My mom wouldn't do that. Blaine, my mom wouldn't do that!” Kurt said growing more irritated with these two men.

“Kurt...everything points to her. He's probably giving her a cut. She'll stay with him and she'll get money. They do it all over again,” Simon replied exasperated.

“No! Don't listen to this Blaine! This is somebody setting her up! My mom is a compassionate woman!”

“Kurt...she's not. We think the reason you were shot is because of her,” Blaine said. Kurt glared at him and threw all of his anger through the bond at Blaine. He saw Blaine recoil and Blaine growled back at him.

“She wouldn't do that to me...”

“They're getting close to her Kurt. You're not listed as her son. Whoever is doing the jobs might think you're someone she loves. They use the first non-deadly wound to convince you to sign everything over and then they go for the kill. Or, somebody is after her and willing to kill whoever to get to her,” Simon said.

“You stay out of this! Get out of our house! I don't want you near me at all!” Kurt turned his glare to Simon and yelled at him. Simon looked over at Blaine who nodded and Simon fled from their house. Kurt felt a hand on his shoulder and he turned to see Erica next to him.

“The guy she's been with isn't her real husband. It's a man she's conning right now...”

“You want to stop her from killing another man. And end her existence...” Kurt said.

“No. I would never be able to do that to her...to you. But we need to make sure she doesn't succeed,” Blaine said.

“Are all of them human?”

“No...some are known vampires,” Blaine replied.

“What does that mean for her? Killing our own kind is forbidden...” Kurt said.

“Exactly...look...there's a bounty on her head. She killed a highly respected vampire and right now she's wanted dead or alive. The person calling the hit is a friend of one of the vampires that was killed.”

“She didn't kill these men!”

“She's an accessory, Kurt. She's not safe anywhere. We also think that the guy she's with right now might be one of them out for her. He might be the reason you were shot. Now that it's out that you're related to her they might use you to get her,” Blaine said.

“No...no...you're wrong,” Kurt said, starting to shake. Kurt looked away from Blaine's sympathetic gaze and fled from the house. When he stopped Erica and Cooper were behind him. He turned on them and growled.

“Kurt...calm down...” Erica said.

“She's not...she's not...a killer...” Kurt said, trying to convince himself that it wasn't true.

“Kurt...we know you want to believe otherwise...but...I'm sorry, Kurt. Until we know the truth...your mom is wanted for murder,” Erica said. Kurt looked at her and then down at the ground. The next thing he knew she was holding him in her arms and kissing his head. He let the hot tears pour from his eyes as she held him.
