Author's Notes: Long chapter! I'm doing my best to make them longer than normal!! I have a lot to put into these chapters!
Kurt felt an arm around his waist and one hand in his hair. His chest itched, but he didn't have the strength to scratch it. He blinked his eyes opened slowly.

“I love you...”

It sounded like his mother's voice. Her gentle voice that would whisper 'I love you' when he would be tucked into bed. He looked at the shoulder his head was on. It wasn't his mother. It was Blaine. He shifted in the protective hold Blaine had on him.

“Kurt?”

“Blaine?” he whispered. His voice cracked and his throat felt like sand paper had been taken to it. He was moved by Blaine. He felt himself laying on the soft duvet on their bed.

“You need to drink...you haven't had much in a while,” Blaine said. Blaine was now leaning over him and bit into his wrist and held it to Kurt. Kurt took it eagerly and drank. Blaine pulled his wrist away and Kurt felt some of strength returning. He reached up and started to scratch at his chest now. Blaine grabbed his wrist and pulled it away.

“I'm sorry, baby. Just leave it alone for now. You're okay but it might itch for a while.”

“Blaine...where's my mom? Is she okay?” Kurt asked.

“She wasn't harmed. Her and Erica are out hunting for who did it.”

“He had a black aura...I saw it and then I was hit,” he said looking up at Blaine. He felt more awake but he still felt weak. Blaine laid next to him and put his arm around Kurt's waist. His arm laid under Kurt's head, supporting him, and pulling him closer. Kurt breathed in Blaine's earthly scent.

“Blaine?”

“Yes, babe?”

“Who would do this?” Kurt asked.

“I'm not sure. We're going to find out though. I'll do whatever it takes to find who did this and end them.”

“Blaine...”

“No. You're not going to change my mind. I almost lost you. This is the closest it's ever come. Kurt, just a few centimeters and you would have been dead...I would have been too.”

“Blaine, please. Let it go so it doesn't happen.”

“No. I don't care what it takes. Once I know who did this I'm killing them...”

“They didn't kill me...”

“They've probably killed others, Kurt. You may not be the first. Somebody needs to have a reason to do something like this...”

“It could have been random.”

“Can we stop talking about it now? I'm only getting upset and I don't want to take it out on you.”

“I'm sorry...for everything and for not paying attention to the people around us,” Kurt replied.

“You were in the middle of a vision, you would not have been able to notice.”

“I still should have realized something was wrong.”

“Stop. It.”

“I'm so sorry, Blaine...for fighting with you and hitting you...I came so close to losing everything and I don't want to ever fight with you again...”

“It's okay...just...calm down. Get some more sleep. You're still weak,” Blaine said. Kurt nodded and closed his eyes. A kiss was placed to his forehead and Kurt smiled.

“I love you...” he mumbled.

“I love you, too. Forever.”

The next time he woke there were multiple people in the room. Kurt opened his eyes and saw he was still laying with Blaine.

“Don't move,” Erica said.

“What?”

“He's asleep. He needs to calm down and that's the best way for him.”

“Ah...did you guys find out who did this?”

Erica gave his mother a look and then looked back at him. She shook her head sadly and looked at Blaine. Kurt touched his finger tips to Blaine's skin. He fell into a vision. It was peaceful but Blaine was upset. Kurt didn't understand why. He appeared to be in a dream with Blaine.

“Come on Thomas!”

Kurt looked around until he saw a little boy with an older one.

“Slow down, Andrew! You'll get run over by a horse! Watch where you're going!”

Kurt smiled at the tone in the young man's voice. He looked a lot like Blaine but there were differences. Kurt wondered who the Andrew was in Blaine's dream. He figured the old boy must be Blaine.

“I'll be fine!”

He was wrong! That little boy was his husband! Kurt looked at the boy adoringly. Blaine was such a happy child. The boys ran along the path avoiding carriages and horses as they went. Kurt watched Thomas run after little Blaine. Blaine stopped in his tracks and looked down at the ground. Kurt moved closer to the two boys. They obviously couldn't see him and he was thankful for that.

On the ground curled up was a small orange kitten. Blaine had reached down to pick it up but Thomas stopped him. Kurt saw an orange outline forming around him. It was very small and very light but it was there.

“No! Thomas, it needs a home! I need to help it!”

“It probably has flees! Mother wouldn't like that. Now come on, I need to get to the bakery before it closes.”

But Blaine fought him and managed to pick up the scared kitten. Kurt felt happiness spread through his being and he wondered what had triggered Blaine to have this dream. He finally looked around taking in his surroundings. He was in old England. The buildings weren't amazing but in Kurt's eyes they were a work of art. Something that had been lost in this new age.

The dream changed to an older Blaine. Thomas must have been almost an adult now. Kurt felt heat radiating around him. He turned around and saw a barn on fire. Thomas and Blaine were running for it but Blaine stopped in his tracks.

“Come on, kid!”

“But...Thomas...”

Thomas ran back to him and put his hands on his shoulder.

“Courage.”

And the orange outline flared around Blaine. Kurt smiled at finding out what made Blaine...Blaine. He'd had a rough upbringing, he knew that much, but seeing some of it made him a little excited.

The scene faded and Kurt felt himself pulling out but he stayed within Blaine's memories. He watched more scenes between him and Thomas. One scared him the most out of any of them. He heard a loud pop and saw Thomas fall to the ground.

The anguish in Blaine took hold of him and he pulled from the dream as fast as possible. He woke up in the real world breathing heavy and scared as hell.

“Kurt?” Erica asked. Blaine was still asleep but his brow was furrowed. Kurt looked at her confused.

“That was...”

“Kurt? What did you see?” Erica asked.

“I'll explain later...”

Blaine shifted next to him and his hazel eyes connected with Kurt's and Kurt smiled at him. Blaine's blank face turned into happiness as they kissed.

End Notes: Thanks for reading! :)
