Author's Notes: Um...it's very upsetting...a little. I got the idea last minute so now I need to rewrite my outline for this.
The next day Kurt spent it at home. Blaine had gone out with Erica to give him some time to think. When Blaine came back home he walked over to cautiously. Kurt felt bad and sighed.

“There's fruit tart in the fridge for you...I'm really sorry about yesterday. I should have never hit you or took it out on you...I was...upset. I thought my mom was dead. And I can have her back and it scared me,” Kurt said.

“It's okay. I love you no matter what. I saw her today. She wants to meet you at the park at three.”

“I'll go. Will you come with me?”

“No. This is for you to do,” Blaine replied.

“Okay...” Kurt replied to him a little upset. He went to get dressed into something casual. He walked down the street to the little park by their house. He sat on a bench and waited. He heard heels clicking on the paved path and looked up. His mother stood above him in a floral dress and high heels.

“Hi, Kurt,” she said.

“Hi.”

“Can I sit?” she asked. Kurt nodded and she took a cautious seat next to him.

“What did you want?” he asked.

“I wanted to tell you my story...I think you deserve that much.”

“I think I do too,” he replied. She still looked just as he remembered her.

“Well, I met your father in high school. Senior year we started dating. Three years later we married. I was a young 21 and happy. A few months later I go pregnant. We welcomed you into our lives, ecstatic. You were so little and I was so happy to have you...” she said starting her story with her trademark smile. It faded though and Kurt was curious.

“Your father and I tried for another kid when you were two...it didn't work out though and I found out why. I had cancer, ovarian cancer. They took everything from me and for the longest time I held onto you and shut the world out. I only had you and I made sure I spoiled you...” she said upset and then fondly at the end.

“I don't get why you left though...”

“When you were six I met a guy. His name was Alexander. He was amazing...he reminded me what life was like before a kid, before you. I fell for him...at that time he told me what he was. I wanted that life. Everlasting life and beauty and youth. I wanted it. So, we 'crashed' my car and made it look like I died...” she said. Kurt reached out to her tentatively and she looked at him confused.

“I have a power...I can see peoples auras...and I developed a power with it. I see the event or thing that made their aura what it is...” Kurt said.

“What's my aura?” she asked intrigued. Kurt decided to do it and blinked letting the power take over his vision. The people around him glowed, except for children whose auras were plain white, as they still needed to develop.

“Your aura is turquoise...it means energetic but you get bored easily...”

“You're welcome to touch my hand,” she said smiling. Kurt let the tips of his fingers touch her skin and he felt his skin prickle.

He saw her with her creator and then another guy. He saw her bouncing from man to man and it sickened Kurt. He wanted to pull out but he couldn't...he needed to know more. Then he was sickened and pulled away.

“That was...I can't,” Kurt said standing up. As he did he saw a black aura and felt pain explode in his chest. His hand flew to his chest and he fell down to the ground. He blinked to get rid of the auras and looked up into his mothers eyes. Suddenly, he felt more pain than ever before and knew something was wrong with whatever was in him. A burning pain radiated through his torso and he tried to claw it out of his chest.

“It didn't hit your heart...close enough but you'll be okay. It's silver though...I'm sorry baby...soon,” she said. His mother held his hands to his sides so he didn't reach for his chest.

“Kurt!”

He turned his head weakly to see Erica and Blaine next to him. Erica had something in her hand and Kurt was fearing what would happen next.

“He can't heal until it's out...get it out!” Kurt heard his mother yelling. Kurt looked around and noticed they were in the woods near the park. How had they gotten there so fast? Kurt put his head back in his mothers lap and winced as Erica prodded the wound. Blaine was holding his hand and whispering to him.

He felt something hit his lips and smelled Blaine's sweet blood. Blaine moved it closer to him and weakly he started to drink. Blaine pulled his wrist away and Kurt looked up into his hazel eyes. They held pain and looked broken. Kurt felt his sorrow through the bond they shared.

“Blaine...? What happened...?”

“Somebody shot you...”

“It hurts...get it out...” Kurt whined not ashamed. He felt something sink into the wound making him cry out in more pain.

“We're trying, sweetheart...I'm so sorry,” Blaine said. He felt the bullet being pulled from his chest and only whimpered in pain now too weak to do more. Once it was out the burning pain stopped and he felt the wound closing up slowly. His body relaxed and he closed his eyes.

“Kurt?”

He opened his eyes and saw Blaine next to him. A smile ghosted over Kurt's lips and then he blacked out.

End Notes: Thoughts?
