“What do you want from him?” Kurt asked.
“It's something very special to me.”
“What is it?” he asked again through clenched teeth.
“Do you have a power Mr. Anderson?” the man asked.
“Yes...I can see auras...” he replied.
“Did you know that if you abuse your power you can go mentally insane?”
“What?”
“If you use your power enough over the years it can slowly to the point of no return,” the man replied. Kurt shivered at the thought. Would it happen to him? Did it happen to this man?
“And what does that have to do with Blaine?”
“I created a serum many years ago. I kept it in a vile in my hotel room. I was top present it to a higher power. When I went back to my room there was a man in my room and had the vile. The vampire jumped from the window and I couldn't find him.”
“What's so special about this serum?”
“It cannot be shown to our governors but it has the ability to turn us back into humans. It would cure me of this terrible disease and life. I'm losing it, boy, and I need my serum to turn me so I can die.”
“How do you know Blaine has it?”
“I got a good look at his face and when it came to hunting him down I was able to get a name and then I started the hunt. I found your mother to help me and we've been searching. When I found out he had been staying in Ohio I moved here to find him.”
“He never told me about it...” Kurt replied.
“Of course he didn't. It's probably for that girl he's with. I tried once before to get it from him but you were bonded and he was there faster than I thought possible,” the man said. Kurt looked at him confused and then remembered the gun shot. The shot that could have killed him.
“You...you're the one who shot me...” Kurt said shocked. The man's wicked grin returned and he nodded. Suddenly, two men walked into the room and looked at the man next to him. They nodded and the man looked down at him.
“He's here!”
The guys walked over to the bed and grabbed Kurt and pulled him up. They moved from the room and down a hall. Kurt was led outside into the evening air and looked forward. There on the edge of the woods stood Cooper, Blaine, Erica, and finally his mother. All love for his mother was forgotten when he thought about what she had done to him.
“Blaine! It's so good to see you again!” the man said excited. Kurt looked over at him and then watched as the four vampires grew closer.
“Give me my husband,” Blaine growled. Kurt glared at Blaine, he hadn't forgotten what had happened. A wave of comfort and regret passed through their bond and it settled Kurt a little. Blaine holds up a necklace and looks at the man.
“Throw it,” the man said. Blaine walked closer but stopped a few feet away. He threw it to the man and then Kurt was thrown into his arms. He tried to pull away but Blaine held him tightly and moved back. The man opened the vile and looked down at it with a smile. He felt Blaine's worry and looked up at him confused.
“Did you really think I'd forget what it smells like?” the man drawled out. Kurt looked at the man able to see how off he really was.
“What do you mean?” Blaine asked. Kurt felt him shaking in his hold. He avoided Blaine's gaze and kept it focused on the other man.
“Where's the real serum!” the man growled. Kurt's mother was now with the man looking at the vile. Kurt pulled from Blaine's arms and looked at her tears threatening to spill over his cheeks.
“You want to end this life too?” he asked.
“I can't take it anymore Kurt. I hate it! I did it for love and was left! The same thing is happening to you...so...get the real thing and we can go together!”
Kurt turned to look back at Blaine. Blaine's eyes were filled with pain. He turned back to his mother.
“You did it for love, Kurt. You're being left by him...you can be with your family now if you do this,” she said with a smile on her face. Kurt turned back to Blaine and sighed.
“Kurt...I'm so sorry. Please, let me explain...” Blaine asked. Kurt looked at Erica who looked just as upset as him.
“Kurt...it's really not what you think...you should let him explain...” Cooper added.
“Give me the vile!” the man hissed and Kurt turned around. He was holding his mother and had a silver stake on her chest. Kurt turned on Blaine and hissed at him.
“Give it to him!”
“Kurt...no! It's way to valuable!” Blaine replied.
“More valuable than a life!?” he growled back.
“Your mother wants to die too! So why does it matter?” Cooper replied. Kurt turned his glare to him and looked back at his mother. She really wanted to end this life...she looked scared but she didn't even try to fight the other vampire.
Kurt raced over to the man and picked up the other vile. He sniffed it and recoiled at the smell. He glared at Blaine and held it up.
“Give it to him or...I'll drink this,” Kurt replied.
“Kurt...no!” Blaine hissed. Kurt shrugged and started to move it to his lips.
“Stop!” Cooper yelled. Kurt looked over at him and saw he was holding up another necklace. He gave it to Blaine who came over to the crazy man. He handed it to him and then pulled Kurt to him. Kurt wrapped his arms around Blaine reluctantly and cried. Blaine picked him up and ran with him. Kurt looked back at the scene as the man finished and fell to the ground. His mother trying to get some of the serum. He put his head into Blaine's neck and cried as he took in the sweet scent of a man he loved but wondered if Blaine would take him back now.
