Kurt was putting the finishing touches on his song. He had loved that Blaine had wrote one for him and he would do the same for him. This one wouldn't be as good as Blaine's but it was good enough for him. He finished the notes for the last measure and then put the paper away in his folder and then in his bag for tomorrow.

The next day dragged by until Glee Club came around. Tina was at the piano and Puck had his guitar ready to go. Kurt took his seat with Blaine and waited for Will to address them.

“Okay guys...Kurt asked to go...so go ahead Kurt,” Will said. Kurt looked over at Blaine smiling and then got up and went to the stool in the middle of the room and sat down.

“I decided to write my own song for Blaine since he wrote his own for me,” Kurt said shyly. Blaine looked at him surprised and smiled lightly.

“You two are just disgusting but it's so cute,” Santana said. Kurt shook his head and Tina started to play. Kurt took a breath and started the song.

“I can remember the very first time I ever saw those beautiful eyes, that was the day that I realized, nothing would ever be the same. Oh...and somehow, I was right. I can remember the day he realized, the day we said goodbye to just friends...oh and all he's given me, I never thought I'd see the day...but ever since we met and even till now...” he started and then stopped. Puck joined on with his guitar and he started the chorus.

“He's given me hope! He's given me light! He's given me a reason to smile! He's given me all that I wanted and more! Oh, and he hasn't stopped, he's only begun! He's given me life! He's given me strength! He's given me a reason to be! But most of all...he's given me courage! Given me courage...to be me...to be us...” he said ending the chorus smiling at Blaine. Blaine was looking at him with so much love in his eyes. Kurt had never been happier. He got to spend his first Valentine's Day in a relationship with Blaine, the sweetest guy ever. Puck had stopped playing once again and it was just piano now.

“Yeah we had some trouble along the way, like that one day where he spilled his guts out and failed,” he sang smiling at Blaine. One year ago he had done that and thankfully it had ended the way it did or they probably wouldn't be together.

“But I think, I only fell harder for him. There was that one time I made a fool of myself but he didn't care, he tried to make it better,” he sang faltering a little remembering when he had made a fool of himself with his “sexy faces”. Well forget that Kurt, he was new and improved and managed to overcome that awkward stage and Blaine was there the whole time. He wouldn't have it any other way either.

“Then that one night that almost changed it all but one kiss changed it all back...oh, and I'll never say goodbye...” he finished the second verse. They hadn't been very good friends at that point because Kurt was being foolish. He felt awful then and still does but he's managed to put it behind him for the most part. Puck started to play again through the chorus.

Blaine had now gotten up and came over to him and wrapped his arms around Kurt's shoulders. This time Puck didn't stop playing and he went into the last verse.

“I can still recall that joke that almost broke it all but there he was right by my side and he, he made it alright...yeah, I'll never forget that dance or that night. From day one till now...” he sang quietly.

“Thank you Kurt...that was amazing,” Blaine said.

“Not as good as yours,” Kurt said.

“You're right...it was better than mine,” Blaine said smiling. Kurt got up and hugged him tightly.

“You're amazing,” Kurt said.

“So are you. Happy Valentine's Day,” Blaine said smiling.

“Happy Valentine's Day...I love you,” Kurt said smiling back at him.

“I love you too,” Blaine said.
