Kurt hit the brakes as he turned onto one of the side streets and came to a red light. He turned the radio on breaking the silence in the car. He went through the stations until he decided on one.

“And this is Blaine Anderson with his first big hit, Sideline, that made him popular two years ago. Rumor has it, he'll be releasing a new single soon. We'll let you know as soon as we know!” with that the DJ stopped talking and the song started playing. Kurt quickly turned it off and let the silence envelop the car once more.

The past two years hadn't been easy on him. He'd missed Blaine for the longest time and it took him months to stop crying at night. The memories hadn't gone away and he was still struggling with them day to day. Every time he heard any of his songs on the radio, like Sideline or Thankful, he broke down. And right now he was about to.

He was still with Rachel and they had about six people signed on but things weren't that good. Nobody was impressive and he was trying to get Rachel to close down already. Rachel wouldn't give in though because Quinn was becoming popular with everybody. Kurt only put hope in her because nobody else was like her.

He pulled into the parking garage and took his spot. He got out and walked out on the street and down to the building. He walked in seeing the people who they had signed sitting around. Rachel's dads had stepped in and started helping them with people since they knew what they were doing. Kurt was done with the music and was basically the manager for each person and helped get their names out there.

“Kurt! I think I deserve more promotion compared to these other people so I demand you get me gigs to perform at,” Lucy, one of the youngest ones, said as he walked in. She was beautiful but snotty beyond belief.

“I can't do anything until Rachel talks to me about your progress and whether you're staying around.”

“But Kurt!”

“Don't,” he said coolly and walked away. He walked into his office seeing the two love birds there. They were engaged and were planning their wedding right now around Quinn's career.

“I need you to tell Lucy we're not keeping her,” Kurt said as he sat down.

“No! She's the best we've had since Quinn and Blaine!”

“Do not say that name!” Kurt said glaring at her. Rachel had always avoided it but she was pushing it now.

“Come on Kurt! Move on! He obviously did! You need to focus on work and focus on the other people we have signed. I need you to work in the studio with them.”

“No! I told you I was done with that. I'm only a rep for people anymore. I'll help them manage but I refuse to go back into the studio and help produce,” he said as he picked up his mail from yesterday. Underneath it all was a magazine with Blaine on the cover. He looked drunk though and was leaning on somebody as they walked outside of the bar they were at. The headline questioned whether the fame was too much for Blaine and if he could handle it. Kurt had watched him go downhill the past two years. He was always out partying and making headlines for his drunk escapades.

He opened it up and read the article. In the corner was the announcement of a new CD being released in a few months and a single in a few weeks. The first single would be called “Forever”. Kurt had never heard of it and didn't know if he wanted to hear it. It did say Blaine had a scheduled appearance on one of the morning shows in New York City to perform the new song.

After work Kurt went right home to relax. On the news he saw video of Blaine stumbling out of a bar. The flashes of the paparazzi cameras were going off like crazy as he walked. He looked upset and lost along with the drunken haze. He watched as the people talked about him and how many problems he had. Rumors of an impending breakdown and his career never taking off again swirled around.

Kurt turned the television off and walked away from the couch towards his bedroom. He looked over at the shelves on his wall where he kept photos and books. He saw the only photo he kept of him and Blaine. It was of them together their foreheads pressed together and a smile on both of their faces. They were both dressed up nicely and at some dinner. Quinn had snapped the photo of them when they weren't expecting it. He smiled at the old memory, the old Blaine, and walked past to his bedroom and to bed.
