Author's Notes: Itty bitty bit of sarcasm in the title. It's just something every parent has to do at some point. **I still don't own Glee - If I did Kurt would be in NYADA and senior Blaine would be with him along with the Warblers**

"Please," Kurt begged down the phone to Blaine "Please, I can't do this yet, I'm not ready."

"Kurt, you've know that we'd have to do this for about 16 years now"

"No, Blaine, I was hoping that we'd get some weird genius child who knew everything in that field, but no, we HAD to get a son who was normal and curious."

Blaine laughed at his husband's audible pout before thinking up a compromise.

"OK, I'll take this one, even though I took ‘changes' and ‘birds and bees'-"

Kurt sighed, relieved, Blaine was the best sometimes.

"-But when the time comes, you can tell Lola. About everything."

Blaine sucked sometimes.

"....Kay then. It'll be a while anyway, I mean she's 4!"

"Not really, girls hit puberty from about 8 and up"

Well, damn. Girls were hard to figure out sometimes.

"Whatever. Good luck tonight, love you!"

"Love you too." Blaine ended the call before starting to mentally prepare himself for this evening.

*********

Blaine walked through the door around 7 and was greeted with Lola running straight for him, squealing about....something. He picked her up and walked into the kitchen where he was greeted with Kurt making dinner and drawing up a new design.

Kurt looked up at him and smiled, "Now please. Go get it over and done with then report back."

Blaine sighed up didn't argue, he started to make his way up the stairs, setting Lola down on the couch without breaking his stride.

He stopped just outside Tyler's door, taking a breath before knocking.

"Come on in, Lola"

"It's me actually, but I'm happy you're so nice to her"

Tyler laughed, "Hey dad, no she just cries when I don't let her in. It's easier this way."

What Blaine would give to take the easy route right now.

"Look, Ty, you're growing up, really fast, and your dad and I get that. That's why I have to do this now."

Tyler knew what was coming, he inhaled then nodded.

"There's a lot going on with you now, I know that. I was there, remember? So that's how I have a general idea about what you'll be up to, either right now or really soon."

Blaine reached in his bag that he hadn't set down since coming home and pulled out a pharmacy bag.

"Here, these are for you."

Tyler opened the bag to find a box of condoms.

"Uh...thanks dad." The words came out as a mumble, all falling into one.

"No problem, these are really important, you know that. If you use them every time you have sex, you'll reduce your risk of getting some disease or getting someone pregnant. Also, contrary to popular belief, no matter what way you do it, when or who with, if it's with a girl and you don't use one, she could get pregnant. Remember that."

Tyler looked at his dad; he couldn't believe how cool he was being.

"I really appreciate this, dad." Tyler was telling the truth, there was guys on the football team whose dad's never talked about any of this stuff, they had to find out for themselves.

"It's fine Ty, really. Now, any questions? Do you know how to put it on?"

"No, but I don't really want to see my dad do that to a banana...."

Blaine had to admit, it wasn't something he really wanted to do either but anything to help his son.

"OK, that's fine, any questions though?"

"Not right now, but, I know I can go to you for whatever dad."

Blaine smiled; yeah he had defiantly done something right, somewhere along the way.

"Yes, you certainly can. I have one small question for you before I leave you alone."

Blaine took a breath before continuing,

"I'm not too late am I?"

"Nope, still a virgin. Hannah's not ready yet and honestly, neither am I."

Blaine had never been more proud of his son.

"That's fine, you'll be ready when you're ready"

Blaine stood up and made his way to the door as Tyler put the box in his bedside cabinet.

"Dad?'

"Yeah?" Blaine hoped to God this wasn't going to be some intense question about how he lost his virginity.

"I don't tell you enough, but, I love you."

"I love you too Ty, always have, always will."

Blaine grabbed his son for a quick hug before walking back down the stairs to the rest of his family.

"So?" Kurt asked, Blaine thought he looked a little worried

"Piece of cake, we have an incredible son."

"Well, who could blame him, he has an incredible father." Kurt smiled and lent over to kiss Blaine.

"Fathers." Blaine corrected before kissing him back.

End Notes: I always thought that Kurt would leave this up to Blaine....
